12:29 AM JewZeus is now known as Choscura
01:13 AM Deejay: moin
01:46 AM Loetmichel: mornin'
02:43 AM pingufan: Hi, Loetmichel
02:46 AM pingufan: What rpm is suitable for 1mm endmills (1-flute, VHM)? I want to mill with a bit more than 400 mm/min. Also, what runout is maximum for such endmills? I see a spindle in China, 12000 rpm brushless, with specifies runout of 0.01 mm.
02:50 AM Loetmichel: depends on the material you want to mill?
02:51 AM Loetmichel: rule of thumb for runout of the spindle is: not more than 1/20 to 1/10 of the mill bit diameter on Tungsten carbide, or you risk breaking the bit
02:51 AM Loetmichel: and RPM for an 1mm bit is "full throttle"
02:52 AM Loetmichel: i doubt you can reach the 80++kRPM thats "recommended" for milling alu with my 1mm TC 2 flutes for example ;)
03:02 AM pingufan: Ok. So 0.01mm runout is ok then.
03:04 AM pingufan: About rpm ... do you mill dry / mist cooled / flood cooled ?
03:05 AM pingufan: So I will try to get as much rpm as possible and slowly approcimate the feed rate to what the endmill allows.
03:06 AM pingufan: My mill does not allow too much humidity. Nothing must float away. So I can only cool with forced air, dry or mit water-mist.
03:09 AM pingufan: My endmills I use in plastic are ø1mm x 12mm (cutting depth). You can imagine how easily they break. But I cannot use shorter ones in many cases. So I bought them in China (1.00 USD/pc)
05:05 AM Tom_L: morning
05:05 AM jthornton: morning
05:07 AM XXCoder: mooning
06:58 AM pingufan: hi
08:31 AM veek: hey so is there any worthwhile/good quality gear selling this year - my aunt's visiting the US and I'm paying so.. there's hope that I might get something but what.. total newbie.. no power tools.. but i can buy that.. what's worth buying from the US - book suggestions.. anything else?
09:11 AM Rab: veek, where are you from, and what do you want?
09:19 AM veek: i live in india.. not sure what I want.. that's the problem..
09:58 AM zeeshan: hi
09:59 AM Rab: veek, US-made tooling and equipment is generally good, but extremely expensive. More economical stuff is imported from China, or India! So not really worth procuring tools in the US unless they're difficult or expensive to get at home.
10:00 AM Rab: There is a lot of used tooling, but your aunt would need to know how to find and assess it.
10:00 AM zeeshan: has anyone had to choose push button colors based on iso60204-1?
10:00 AM Rab: zeeshan, sup
10:01 AM zeeshan: i'm going in circles here hehe
10:01 AM veek: Rab, yeah :( figured that one out.. bosch has a factory here
10:02 AM Rab: zeeshan, I have not. I guess it takes human factors into account, like colorblindness?
10:02 AM zeeshan: i don't think it's that advanced
10:02 AM zeeshan: Reset actuators shall be BLUE, WHITE, GREY, or BLACK. Where they also act as a
10:02 AM zeeshan: The colour YELLOW is reserved for use in abnormal conditions, for example, in the event of
10:03 AM zeeshan: There are two schools of thought here..
10:03 AM zeeshan: 'if someone accesses the gate, it causes an interruption in the process therefore the reset button should be yellow'
10:04 AM zeeshan: but the way i look at it is (since our gates our interlocked): it's just a regular reset button
10:04 AM zeeshan: so it should be blue
10:04 AM Rab: zeeshan, is there existing equipment you can copy?
10:05 AM zeeshan: rab that's part of the confusion, existing equipment is all over the place for colours
10:05 AM Rab: hmm
10:05 AM Rab: Are there operator training issues as a result?
10:06 AM zeeshan: not really, because right above the button it has a lamacoid
10:06 AM zeeshan: but i can see a button being inadvertently pressed because human tendency is not to read
10:06 AM zeeshan: and just to press stuff based on color or location
10:08 AM Rab: So the operator would not press this button to
10:08 AM Rab: "interrupt the process", correct? That happens if the gate is accessed?
10:08 AM Rab: The button just resets the process after interrupted by the gate?
10:08 AM zeeshan: yes
10:09 AM Rab: What happens if the button is pressed without a previous interruption by the gate?
10:09 AM zeeshan: you request gate access, machine stops in a controlled manner, you go in to the cell and remove the jam or whatever, come out of the gate, and press reset
10:09 AM zeeshan: to restart the process
10:09 AM zeeshan: it doesn't do anything
10:10 AM Rab: OK cool. I think your take is totally reasonable. It's not an interruption of the process.
10:10 AM zeeshan: A common place where you use the yellow button is for 'feed' hold
10:11 AM zeeshan: It's in auto and you press feed hold to interrupt the cycle
10:11 AM Rab: That makes sense.
10:11 AM zeeshan: so technically the request access button can be yellow
10:11 AM zeeshan: because it's kind of acting like the feed hold button
10:12 AM Rab: I agree.
10:12 AM zeeshan: or it can also technically be white
10:12 AM zeeshan: because it's stop/offing the machine
10:12 AM zeeshan: that one is not as clear
10:12 AM zeeshan: but i think both yellow and white are okay there
10:13 AM Rab: Seems that there is "a preference for black".
10:13 AM Rab: For that function.
10:13 AM zeeshan: Problem with black is you can't flash it
10:13 AM zeeshan: typically the request access button is held on until you press it
10:14 AM zeeshan: then it flashes to indicate that the machine is stopping
10:14 AM zeeshan: and then it goes off when the machine is off
10:14 AM Rab: But I can't find a copy of the damn standard, I'm looking at BS EN 60204-1:2006 which is a British standard allegedly derived from ISO60204-1.
10:14 AM zeeshan: same stuff
10:14 AM zeeshan: prolly has minor variations
10:15 AM zeeshan: from my understanding, a standard can start off as din
10:15 AM zeeshan: and then get promoted to EN
10:16 AM zeeshan: then promoted to ISO
10:16 AM zeeshan: depending on it's acceptance
10:19 AM Rab: Well, hmm. The text doesn't address yellow buttons, there's just this entry in the color-coding table: Colour, YELLOW; Meaning, Abonormal; Explanation, Actuate in the event of an abnormal condition; Examples of application, Intervention to suppress abnormal condition/Intervention to restart an interrupted automatic cycle
10:23 AM zeeshan: From that perspective yellow makes sense for the reset
10:23 AM Rab: The 'reset' button is clearly "Intervention to restart an interrupted automatic cycle". But the 'request gate access' button is arguably "Intervention to suppress abnormal condition".
10:24 AM zeeshan: haha
10:24 AM zeeshan: make them both yellow!!!!
10:24 AM zeeshan: Damn confusing.
10:25 AM Rab: I still think yellow for "request access" and white for "reset" (or "resume") is reasonable and arguable.
10:28 AM Rab: There is also a psychology/operator training argument, where A) people grow up with the green/yellow/red progression, so B) an operator could be expected to interpret yellow to mean "not emergency, but hold up" rather than "situation resolved, keep on trucking".
10:29 AM Rab: All pure internet opinion on my part of course.
10:29 AM zeeshan: I agree with you
10:29 AM zeeshan: Logically for me, blue doesn't make a whole lot of sense
10:29 AM zeeshan: I'd make request access yellow cause it is causing an interruption
10:30 AM zeeshan: and the reset would be blue
10:31 AM Rab: I think blue is a "duh" color: "No intrinsic meaning or intuitive association, think about what you're doing before you push it"
10:32 AM Rab: Along with white, grey, and black.
10:33 AM Rab: I think white is more correct, according to this chart.
10:34 AM Rab: BLUE, Actuate for a condition requiring mandatory action, example: Reset function
10:35 AM Rab: WHITE, For general initiation of functions except for emergency stop, example: START/ON (preferred [over grey or black])
10:36 AM Rab: But yellow and blue are a fun, colorful, complementary combo, and also easier to distinguish.
10:37 AM zeeshan: when i was thinking about the request access button
10:38 AM zeeshan: i was associating it with a stop/off function over some abnormal interruption
10:38 AM zeeshan: yes you're interrupting the process
10:38 AM zeeshan: but that's a secondary thing :P
10:43 AM jthornton: yo zeeshan
10:50 AM flyback is now known as phlback
10:55 AM phlback is now known as flyback
10:55 AM zeeshan: hows it going!
10:55 AM jthornton: not bad I guess, a hen died last night dunno why... a feral dog killed my outdoor cat the other day but other than that we are doing ok
10:55 AM jthornton: going to the outer banks in a few days for some R&R
10:55 AM zeeshan: wow are you serious!
10:55 AM zeeshan: feral dogs??
10:55 AM zeeshan: like a coyote?
10:55 AM jthornton: yea there are 3 packs of them around here
10:55 AM jthornton: no coyotes kill to eat, dogs kill for sport
10:57 AM pcw_home: We have a new pack of coyotes here (there have always been some) but they have never bothered our sheep, loose dogs are more of an issue
10:57 AM jthornton: I use a remington 870 12 gauge for dogs
10:57 AM zeeshan: slugs?
10:57 AM zeeshan: or buck shot
10:57 AM jthornton: buckshot
10:58 AM jthornton: need to find some #4 buckshot
10:58 AM zeeshan: i'd be devastated if my cat got killed
10:58 AM jthornton: that cz 527 looks like a nice rifle
10:58 AM zeeshan: i had to put down my other cat 2 years ago - was quite hard
10:58 AM zeeshan: yes, it shoots a 7.62x39 round
10:59 AM zeeshan: my fav round!
10:59 AM jthornton: Woody showed up last winter and was living in the wood pile
10:59 AM jthornton: we became friends so I had her spayed
11:00 AM Tom_L: zeeshan have 'mood' colors that change
11:03 AM zeeshan: haha
11:03 AM Tom_L: hi btw
11:03 AM Tom_L: jthornton, https://www.sportsmansguide.com/product/index/remington-3-magnum-12-gauge-no-4-buckshot-41-pellets-5-rounds?a=1593371
11:04 AM jthornton: yep that's the one I want
11:05 AM Tom_L: use all those up and there won't be a living thing nearby
11:05 AM jthornton: lol
11:05 AM zeeshan: i love how you guys are comfortably talking about guns
11:05 AM zeeshan: up here, its like a taboo subject
11:05 AM zeeshan: annoying
11:06 AM Tom_L: guns don't kill ppl, ppl kill ppl
11:06 AM zeeshan: yessir
11:07 AM Tom_L: the ones that couldn't steal a gun used a knife
11:07 AM cradek: guns are super helpful though! you can't mow down a crowd of queers with a knife.
11:09 AM jthornton: speaking of guns many states have different laws regarding them, for example here in Missouri it's common to see guys with pistols hanging on their belt in WalMart or the Post Office and anywhere else for that matter
11:10 AM jthornton: lunch minute is up... back to work
11:15 AM Tom_L: i think they carry them quite a bit in the south
11:38 AM Rab: Texas has open-carry. But some municipalities have laws stipulating that you can't brandish them in a manner calculated to cause alarm, which I suspect has some latitude for interpretation.
11:40 AM Rab: You will occasionally see people openly carrying pistols or rifles in the city, but they're generally douchebags trying to make some point. If you're concerned with self-defense, showing off your weapons is like the dumbest possible tactical error.
11:45 AM beachbumpete1: Lunch time!
11:50 AM roycroft: oregon is an open carry state, and we have yahoos who do just that, almost always to make a point
11:50 AM roycroft: the point being that they're douchebags :)
11:51 AM roycroft: 100% of the open carry folks here are white, of course, becasue open carry laws (or even gun posession or finger pointing) do not apply to brown peopel
11:51 AM roycroft: if you're brown, even walking in the general direction of a white person is unsafe

02:58 PM CaptHindsight: have to carry a gun they are so afraid
02:58 PM fragalot: CaptHindsight: but they're the good guys so it's fine
02:59 PM CaptHindsight: not free, not brave
03:01 PM fragalot: free to do as you are told, obviously :)
03:02 PM CaptHindsight: what day is it, what should I buy, what do I think?

04:54 PM CaptHindsight: JT-Shop: no problem, was looking for part numbers
05:39 PM _unreal_: wtf
05:43 PM t4nk-freenode: _unreal_, I hope that was a lesson to ya. Next time I won't be as friendly.
05:43 PM t4nk-freenode: .... I'll tell peer to have at you.
05:45 PM _unreal_: right.........
05:45 PM _unreal_: and you made the lighting storm cause the power wtf thing that just happend as well right
05:45 PM t4nk-freenode: that goes without saying.
05:59 PM JT-Shop: I guess spilling your beer on the keyboard then hosing it off and blowing it out with compressed air is ok
06:12 PM Tom_L: sure is
06:19 PM _unreal_: finally cutting some parts for my daughters cnc machine
06:21 PM _unreal_: opinion question
06:21 PM roycroft: so for any of you who like this kind of stuff
06:22 PM _unreal_: I have two stepper motors one I know what its values are. the other I only have a few working specs
06:22 PM roycroft: i like using fender amplifier type lamp holders and jewels for my indicators
06:22 PM roycroft: and i just found a guy who has led lamps for them in both 120vac and 240vac
06:22 PM roycroft: also, he carries reproduction real glass jewels for them, made by the same outfit who made them for fender
06:23 PM roycroft: not the crappy plastic ones, but real glass ones
06:23 PM roycroft: he's sending me a full assembly to check out
06:23 PM * roycroft does like to bling out his machines a wee bit
06:23 PM _unreal_: the motor I have on my cnc machine is rated at 5.3v 1amp. nema 23, its a square shaped stepper 1.8 degree. I have an other stepper that is a round can style nema 23 its rated at 3.37v 2.57A and 100oz/in holding torque. I dont know the torque of the first motor.
06:24 PM roycroft: there's a very practical reason for using glass vs plastic jewels too, besides the bling factor - they transmit light a lot better, so they're a lot more visible
06:24 PM _unreal_: I'm trying to figure out what the chances are that this second motor may be more powerful the one that is 100oz/in
06:24 PM _unreal_: roycroft, any thoughts?
06:25 PM roycroft: only that i'm unqualified at this time to speculate about that
06:25 PM roycroft: i'm far from a stepper motor expert
06:26 PM _unreal_: I just wish I knew the holding torque of the current motor
06:26 PM _unreal_: :(
06:26 PM roycroft: there are several folks on this channel who would certainly be able to give you good feedback about that
06:26 PM t4nk-freenode: what's keeping you from testing it out, _unreal_?
06:26 PM roycroft: so be patient and wait for one of them to unidle :)
06:27 PM roycroft: testing is always an option
06:27 PM _unreal_: A the motor is on the machine. the other one is not
06:27 PM _unreal_: it would take hours to setup
06:27 PM _unreal_: I'm going to use the motor anywas. I'm going to put it on my Z
06:28 PM t4nk-freenode: hehe.. so instead.. you would feel better if someone with less knowledge of the hardware guessed it for you?
06:28 PM _unreal_: I just wish I could solve which motor is the greater. ether I leave my X motor in place or I swap them and put my X motor upto Z and get rid of the current much smaller Z motor
06:28 PM Tom_L: put it in a vise powered up and turn the shaft with a torque wrench and measure it
06:28 PM _unreal_: :/
06:29 PM _unreal_: I'd have to do the same setup for both
06:29 PM roycroft: i'd not install the new motor on the machine to test
06:29 PM Tom_L: not rocket science
06:29 PM roycroft: i'd pull the motor off the machine and test both stand-alone
06:29 PM _unreal_: Tom_L, heh good plan. only issue is my machine design is not setup for FAST break down :(
06:29 PM _unreal_: roycroft, AGREED!
06:30 PM t4nk-freenode: lol... except for the occasional bearing that pops you in the face, ey, _unreal_?! :)))
06:30 PM t4nk-freenode: I'd call that pretty rapid breakdown
06:30 PM roycroft: _unreal_: taking the time to remove the current motor from the machine not only facilitates the testing, but it presents an opportunity to do some deep cleaning of that part of the machine that would otherwise not be done
06:31 PM _unreal_: not dirty
06:31 PM roycroft: and should you decide to swap motors after the testing, you're already halfway done
06:32 PM * roycroft is trying hard to make lemonade
06:32 PM roycroft: well
06:32 PM roycroft: to present a recipe for making lemonade
06:32 PM _unreal_: trying hard?
06:32 PM roycroft: but _unreal_ only sees lemons :(
06:32 PM _unreal_: roycroft, I love in south florida we have a keylime tree in the back yard
06:33 PM _unreal_: its very easy. lemons keylimes same thing
06:33 PM _unreal_: are you making a glass or a pitcher
06:33 PM roycroft: i'm using a metaphor
06:33 PM _unreal_: oh
06:33 PM roycroft: i'm not sure if it's a glass of metaphor or a pitcher of metaphor
06:33 PM _unreal_: I thought you where litteraly making lemondaid
06:34 PM roycroft: i do like key limes a lot though
06:34 PM _unreal_: key lime aid is easy
06:34 PM roycroft: i like to use them when i make mojitos
06:34 PM roycroft: mojitos being the closest thing to proof that a god exists that there is
06:35 PM _unreal_: 3-5 of them cut in half. squeeze drop entire keylime half into glass. add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon sugar mix done
06:35 PM _unreal_: and ice
06:35 PM _unreal_: mmmm mojito
06:35 PM roycroft: now i've piqued your interest
06:36 PM _unreal_: heh
06:36 PM _unreal_: I'm currently starting to mill parts for my daughters mini cnc machine
06:38 PM _unreal_: amazingly its like 19 parts
06:45 PM _unreal_: just made some klime/aid :)
06:45 PM _unreal_: noting like being able to make it when ever you want
06:45 PM _unreal_: just walk out to the back yard
06:46 PM _unreal_: hell I have a mango tree, coconut trees, loquat tree, I have different cactus that give fruit, I'm still waiting for my Star fruit tree's to get big enough to start making fruit
06:48 PM _unreal_: I even have touchy feely plants going that the leaves close up REALLY fast if you tuch them :)
06:48 PM _unreal_: cool as hell, have thorns but the leaves are fun to play with
06:51 PM _unreal_: so quiet now
07:12 PM _unreal_: DAMN IT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT I just cut the part out before I realized I'm missing a hole SHIT
07:12 PM _unreal_: not like I cant locate it but SHIT
07:12 PM _unreal_: part out from the holding tabs that is
07:13 PM _unreal_: !! doesnt matter I guess I need to do a reverse side milling
07:13 PM _unreal_: regardless
07:14 PM _unreal_: What a palm to face moment
07:14 PM * t4nk-freenode suddenly fancies a glass of palmonade
07:14 PM _unreal_: huh?
07:15 PM _unreal_: if your talking coconut and lemon. trust me its not a good combo
07:15 PM _unreal_: in drinking form
07:16 PM t4nk-freenode: nah, easy, squeeze 4 to 5 average sized palm trees into a small cup, add 1/3 lump of sugar, gently soak and enjoy
07:19 PM _unreal_: I'm milling a 3d part now
07:19 PM _unreal_: t4nk-freenode, do you know much about palm tree's?
07:20 PM _unreal_: SOOO freaking cool doing 3d milling
07:20 PM t4nk-freenode: yes, I am an expert on palm trees
07:22 PM _unreal_: right...
07:22 PM _unreal_: one of my fave foods is "heart of palm"
07:23 PM t4nk-freenode: I never eat heart of palm; too much fish in it
07:24 PM _unreal_: right...
07:26 PM * roycroft likes dates and coconuts, and uses a fair amount of carnauba wax
07:26 PM roycroft: and we have palm trees way up here in eugene
07:27 PM roycroft: my neighbor across the street has one
07:27 PM _unreal_: try saying carnauba 5 times fast
07:27 PM roycroft: try even typing it five time fast :)
07:27 PM roycroft: i don't know what variety of palm grows here
07:27 PM roycroft: a fairly cold-tolerant one
07:28 PM roycroft: apparently several species can grow here
07:29 PM roycroft: https://oregonpalms.com/our-products
07:35 PM _unreal_: wtf https://oregonpalms.com/local-palm-project-pics
07:35 PM _unreal_: palm tree in snow
07:37 PM t4nk-freenode: that's a bit of old news, Berin, remember you are talking to palm experts here..
07:37 PM t4nk-freenode: on a more amusing note, undoubtedly, ... I am just 1 poke with a little lead into a breadboard away from blowng up.
07:41 PM _unreal_: check this out
07:41 PM _unreal_: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1KlrDeD0dtQeNwngWF64ZbjwVf4eQ8w6A
07:41 PM _unreal_: the part thats in the left hand side I have not removed yet. thats a 3d milled part
07:43 PM t4nk-freenode: you spilt lemonade all over your machine!

07:47 PM _unreal_: ?
07:47 PM skunkworks: currently printing a rpi4 case..
07:47 PM _unreal_: skunkworks, nice
07:48 PM skunkworks: _unreal_: what are those for?
07:48 PM _unreal_: last 2 links are an assembled image
07:48 PM _unreal_: I'm building it for my daughter
07:49 PM skunkworks: cool!
07:49 PM _unreal_: the work bed is going to be around 6x6"
07:50 PM _unreal_: whe I get it put together I'm going to set it up with a pen with an elastic band tentioner
07:50 PM _unreal_: so she can "learn" on it
07:50 PM _unreal_: when I feel she's grown enough I can switch it to a small mill head
07:50 PM t4nk-freenode: ok, that's it.... you stole my idea, buddy!
07:50 PM _unreal_: its sized for one of those MICRO spindles
07:51 PM _unreal_: micro spindle like I have. I may even go with a BLDC QUAD COPTER brushless spindle. much smaller same power
07:52 PM _unreal_: ! arg... ok almost 9pm time for a shower and making din
07:52 PM t4nk-freenode: hey; I didn't blow up!! .. having it work was just as scary though
07:54 PM _unreal_: ?
07:54 PM _unreal_: so you have a motor controller working ish?
07:55 PM t4nk-freenode: nope, just the one mosfet ;)
07:55 PM _unreal_: how big are the motors your trying to run?
07:55 PM _unreal_: or have you even collected any yet?
07:56 PM t4nk-freenode: printer motors, unreal, printer motors.. running this one off 12v the other one prolly needs like 40v
07:56 PM _unreal_: stick to one voltage for motors
07:57 PM t4nk-freenode: like epson did? ;)
07:57 PM _unreal_: its an un wise idea to have different voltages for different motors on one machine.
07:58 PM _unreal_: they mix servo and stepper but they are not doing combined xy motion its LEFT. ADVANCE, right ADVANCE, left. advance rig......
07:58 PM _unreal_: as a printer does
07:58 PM t4nk-freenode: I did contemplate taking another printhead motor from another printer though.. so I can run them both on 12v
07:59 PM _unreal_: much better to stick to one type of motor. all servo or all stepper
07:59 PM _unreal_: and all same voltage
08:00 PM _unreal_: then your only variable is steps per rotation
08:00 PM t4nk-freenode: yeh well, I don't really care too much.. working with what I got, nothing else
08:00 PM _unreal_: and leadscrew/threaded rod choice
08:00 PM t4nk-freenode: no it isn't, no stepper motors this time
08:01 PM t4nk-freenode: they're dc motors with encoders
08:04 PM t4nk-freenode: mmmm maybe kewl to just take 3 printhead motors and just use them exactly like I did with the dvd
08:58 PM _unreal_: do they have a ribbon encoder strip or do they have an encoder ON the motor its self?
08:59 PM Tom_L: i used the encoder off one of those on my sherline spindle for quite a while
09:01 PM _unreal_: a strip encoder?
09:01 PM _unreal_: I assume it worked rather well?
09:01 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/new_pulleys/old_pulley1.jpg
09:01 PM _unreal_: thats a disk
09:01 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/new_pulleys/new_pulley_mounted1.jpg
09:01 PM Tom_L: that's after i switched to timing belts for the drive
09:02 PM _unreal_: oh spindle that explains the low line count
09:02 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/new_pulleys/spindle_enc1.jpg
09:02 PM Tom_L: then i switched to a quadrature encoder
09:11 PM t4nk-freenode: mzzz these motors really aren't very strong dunno how much they need, but at 12v they aren't really tough
09:11 PM t4nk-freenode: paper feed should be a bit stronger
09:46 PM _unreal_: t4nk-freenode, they are likely geared in the printer
09:46 PM _unreal_: there for the apear to be very strong
09:46 PM _unreal_: I'm now milling my next 3d nut retainer
09:49 PM _unreal_: sigh
09:50 PM t4nk-freenode: I hope they work for you; ahhh to finally be able to go out in public again!
09:50 PM _unreal_: ?
09:52 PM t4nk-freenode: ?
09:52 PM Tom_L: ¿
09:54 PM t4nk-freenode: ¿
10:00 PM _unreal_: There now I have a few profiles combined so I can do the entire miling job in one shot for these parts :)
10:00 PM _unreal_: Tom_L, I'm from the tinker toys days
10:00 PM _unreal_: I didnt get into legos till I was older
10:01 PM Tom_L: lincoln logs & tinker toys
10:01 PM Tom_L: erector set
10:01 PM _unreal_: I rememberbeing so ANGRY
10:02 PM _unreal_: I use to have those
10:02 PM _unreal_: and I use to have a 24" tall voltron figure that all the cats transformed
10:02 PM Tom_L: _real_ xtal radio. not the 'toys'
10:02 PM _unreal_: my @#$@#$2 parents made me toss them all when I "got to old"
10:02 PM _unreal_: That voltron figure is worth $5k today
10:03 PM Tom_L: gumby
10:03 PM _unreal_: :(
10:03 PM Tom_L: here's one you won't remember.
10:03 PM Tom_L: gaylord
10:04 PM _unreal_: rings a bell cant place it
10:04 PM Tom_L: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlYDsNkO6Pc
10:05 PM _unreal_: !!! I've seen those before long time ago but!
10:07 PM _unreal_: when i was 4 I had this little car that was a wall climber meaning it just went straight hit a wall climbed rolled over backwards rolled over and went fwd again to the next object to climb
10:08 PM _unreal_: I remember it had a red body and a single in line "studs" studded tires that were black

10:10 PM _unreal_: OMG I found it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idDFVx8TFgs
10:11 PM t4nk-freenode: darn, I always keep fighting with those mosfets
10:12 PM Tom_L: http://www.samstoybox.com/toys/PowerShop.html
10:12 PM Tom_L: i still have that
10:14 PM _unreal_: I remember seeing those and always wanted one
10:14 PM Tom_L: my uncle worked at Texaco and got me the fire truck
10:15 PM _unreal_: I have a very rare nintendo device
10:15 PM _unreal_: special gaming chair. it auctions today for 10k
10:15 PM _unreal_: when ever they pop up
10:15 PM _unreal_: :)
10:16 PM _unreal_: it was called the sega hot seat for nintendo
10:20 PM _unreal_: two more parts for my daughters cnc machine have been now cut
10:30 PM skunkworks: tinker toys and legos. Some erector sets.. mostly loved the technic lego sets.. gear and such
10:31 PM skunkworks: capsela?
10:33 PM skunkworks: omg -they still make it https://www.amazon.com/IQ-KEY-Perfect-600-Educational/dp/B07DZTVPKG/ref=asc_df_B07DZTVPKG/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=312112107588&hvpos=1o2&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6580385959402068050&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=1027978&hvtargid=aud-798931705416:pla-619570777564&psc=1

10:41 PM skunkworks: (we were living in the basement of the house my parents were building...
11:23 PM _unreal_: I'm going to use these on my daughters cnc machine https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W1YVVSL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
