10:11 AM IchGucksLive: till later its drippin outside nothing to call rain
11:05 AM JT-Shop: latest firefox improvement crashing tabs all the time lol
11:05 AM gregcnc: oh it's not just me?
11:06 AM archivist: I shall stick to my old version
11:07 AM archivist: been testing a few sites on the w3c validator, many have hundreds of errors, not surprised browsers fail to work properly
11:14 AM codepython777: what is the best place in the US to source carbon fiber sheets? (3/32" 12" x 12") ?
11:15 AM archivist: I imagine google has a better clue than me
11:58 AM codepython777: https://dragonplate.com/ecart/product.asp?pID=3958&cID=92 - I wish it was cheaper :)
12:17 PM codepython777: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251779641089 - Anyone has any suggestions for something better than this in this price range for CF cutting
12:19 PM IchGucksLive: hi from Germany
12:20 PM IchGucksLive: jthornton: ?
12:22 PM codepython777: IchGucksLive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251779641089 - any recommendations for bits like these to cut carbon fiber? Am thinking of trying them out
12:24 PM IchGucksLive: codepython777: http://www.ebay.com/itm/10pcs-Japan-RHM-FT-0-80mm-1-32-Router-Bit-for-PCB-diamond-cut-geometry-/121815304393
12:25 PM codepython777: IchGucksLive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/382002836984?
12:25 PM IchGucksLive: are you in the USA
12:25 PM codepython777: yes
12:26 PM codepython777: I like the kyocera one - looks good and decent price
12:26 PM IchGucksLive: codepython777: this are only bits to go from outside you show
12:26 PM IchGucksLive: nothing to mill into
12:26 PM codepython777: IchGucksLive: I cant use those to drill a hole?
12:27 PM IchGucksLive: no you cand
12:27 PM codepython777: spiral my way thru?
12:27 PM IchGucksLive: my link is to drill and mill
12:27 PM IchGucksLive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/50-PIECE-USA-MADE-CARBIDE-ROUTER-DIAMOND-CUT-FLUTE-BITS-VARIETY-PACK-5-/171284216994
12:27 PM IchGucksLive: go for zje used box
12:29 PM IchGucksLive: http://www.ebay.com/itm/1-16-Carbide-Router-Bit-Diamond-Cut-Flutes-Super-Value-CNC-PCB-Dremel-FT-/151166725974

12:31 PM IchGucksLive: this might also be an option
12:31 PM codepython777: IchGucksLive: those can drill holes? titanium carbide ones that you linked?
12:31 PM IchGucksLive: all that i linked will do it
12:33 PM codepython777: CVD seems to be known to be better than anyhthing else for CF
12:33 PM codepython777: so the kyocera one still looks good to me?
12:33 PM codepython777: The ones you linked, i dont see anyone in particular that can drill holes?
12:35 PM codepython777: IchGucksLive: what is the correct type to drill holes?
12:35 PM IchGucksLive: fishtail dimondcut
12:36 PM codepython777: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kyocera-2121-0625V255F-Down-Diamond-Router-1-16in-Dia-1-8in-Shank-CVD-Fish-Tail-/332070340752 ?
12:38 PM IchGucksLive: i woudt stay for first with the lowcost used
12:38 PM IchGucksLive: as it comes from a Carbon factory
12:38 PM gregcnc: diamond coat would last longest
12:38 PM IchGucksLive: and it will fill your need
12:39 PM IchGucksLive: as you dont plan for now to go in production
12:39 PM codepython777: gregcnc: you mean this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kyocera-2121-0625V255F-Down-Diamond-Router-1-16in-Dia-1-8in-Shank-CVD-Fish-Tail-/332070340752 ?
12:39 PM IchGucksLive: They will not sell broken ones
12:39 PM gregcnc: i mean in CF
12:39 PM codepython777: IchGucksLive: The ones you linked, i dont see a fishtail?
12:40 PM IchGucksLive: the dimonds do only got a sharp front as a Fishtail
12:41 PM codepython777: thanks :)
12:41 PM codepython777: Let me try some, will let you know how it went
12:45 PM chopper79: Afternoon
12:46 PM IchGucksLive: codepython777: you got benefit as 50bits
12:46 PM IchGucksLive: so on that money you got lots of options
12:46 PM IchGucksLive: codepython777: maybe the 2,4mm are the most used
12:46 PM codepython777: I am also looking for a remote switch for my CNC - so that I can switch it off from a distance? Any suggestions? :)
12:46 PM IchGucksLive: but how do you kow
12:47 PM codepython777: 110v 20A - preferably 110v 30A
12:47 PM IchGucksLive: A remote powerplug
12:47 PM gregcnc: is it that scary?
12:47 PM IchGucksLive: in the next 1Dollar shop they will have one
12:47 PM IchGucksLive: at radioshak
12:48 PM IchGucksLive: or simply use your smartphone
12:48 PM IchGucksLive: as you always have it in 40cm reatch
12:48 PM IchGucksLive: :o ;-(
12:51 PM IchGucksLive: HC-05
12:51 PM codepython777: the probeem is the Amperage rating
12:51 PM IchGucksLive: is that amound alowed in the USA
12:51 PM gregcnc: what sort of switch though?
12:51 PM codepython777: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001Q9EFUK/ref=asc_df_B001Q9EFUK4960067
12:51 PM IchGucksLive: use a Realy
12:51 PM codepython777: something like this - but want to make sure that the CNC won't fry it with its power draw
12:52 PM gregcnc: are you using a 20A outlet now?
12:53 PM codepython777: 2.2kw spindle
12:53 PM codepython777: gregcnc: yes
12:54 PM IchGucksLive: codepython777: the spindle takes 4.5A on the 230V
12:54 PM IchGucksLive: did mesure it on monday
12:55 PM IchGucksLive: last monday
12:55 PM IchGucksLive: as we changed from 1.1 Aircooled
12:55 PM IchGucksLive: to the 2.2 water
12:55 PM codepython777: Mine is on 110V
12:56 PM IchGucksLive: the China KW are only the RPM error power
12:56 PM gregcnc: RPM error power?
12:57 PM IchGucksLive: they mesure at 80% RPM the Input A to get it Stalling
12:57 PM IchGucksLive: till the VFD error goes on
12:57 PM gregcnc: full load, why would it be rated at anything less?
12:58 PM IchGucksLive: the highest RPM will not give you the max Force
12:58 PM IchGucksLive: chip load
01:03 PM IchGucksLive: so tomorrow first 100days in White casel WASTE clock is at 86Mio USD for personal Use
01:03 PM IchGucksLive: OB did spend 76 Mio in 8Years on personal travel

01:31 PM Crom: morning
02:26 PM Crom: hmmm found some brushless 52mm spindles 600w
04:05 PM RomanC: guten Abend :-)
04:17 PM RomanC: Kann mir jemand eine kurze Frage bezgl. Mesa-Karten beantworten?
04:29 PM pcw_mesa: The 7I76E is standalone (just needs linuxCNC host computer with free Ethernet port)
04:29 PM JT-Shop: RomanC: the 7i76e requires Linuxcnc Uspace and the Rtpreempt real time kernel and uses the mother board ethernet port
04:30 PM JT-Shop: https://mesaus.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=68&product_id=72
04:31 PM * JT-Shop gets back to chicken coop construction :)
04:47 PM RomanC: thank you for your quick replay
04:53 PM RomanC: There are no imagefiles around a hard disk itself to make a Uspace?
04:56 PM JT-Shop2: http://linuxcnc.org/docs/2.7/html/getting-started/getting-linuxcnc.html#_installing_on_debian_wheezy_with_preempt_rt_kernel
04:57 PM JT-Shop2: you have to build it from the documents for Debian
04:57 PM JT-Shop2: or for Linux Mint look on the forum
05:01 PM Deejay: gn8
05:09 PM JT-Shop2: RomanC: https://forum.linuxcnc.org/9-installing-linuxcnc/32193-complete-how-to-linux-mint-18-1-32-64-rtai-or-preempt-with-rip-install-or-deb
05:10 PM RomanC: perfect!! thank you
05:10 PM RomanC: im a linux nub
05:10 PM RomanC: sorry.. I `am
05:13 PM JT-Shop2: everyone starts out that way

05:30 PM RomanC: @jt shop. Please tell me the shipping costs for a uspace to switzerland?
05:33 PM JT-Shop2: you can add it to your cart and then calculate shipping
05:33 PM Crom: nice, Mine is 27cmx37cm ebay 3040
05:34 PM JT-Shop2: there was no better sight in the world as a Swissair plane touching down in Kinshasa
05:35 PM RomanC: swissair :-) that was before a long time :-)
05:36 PM RomanC: mesaus shop`
05:36 PM RomanC: ?
05:38 PM RomanC: ah okay.. now i understand.. john
05:41 PM JT-Shop2: yea that was a long time ago
05:41 PM JT-Shop2: yes I'm mesaus.com
05:44 PM * JT-Shop2 listens to Peter Frampton
05:50 PM Crom: I'm listening to Men at work
05:59 PM Crom: yeah, jetdirect is working wonderfully. I have a printer again
06:01 PM JT-Shop2: I like Men at Work... fried out combi
06:02 PM JT-Shop2: damn wife is doing jury duty and they ordered dinner for them...
06:02 PM JT-Shop2: or damn,
06:03 PM Jymmm: I choose the former! Translation: She won't be making be dinner tonight! lol
06:03 PM Jymmm: She couldn't get out of it huh?
06:04 PM JT-Shop: well I picked up Papa Murphy's
06:05 PM Jymmm: Well, you can get the pizza YOU wanted then =)
06:05 PM Crom: now listening to Men without hats... just how the rotation came up
06:11 PM * JT-Shop2 ponders how he wants to build the nest boxes
06:11 PM Jymmm: for birds?
06:12 PM Crom: I like the slant side nests, so you open them and then you can store them all stacked inside one another
06:12 PM Jymmm: or you mean like permantnt outdoor ones?
06:14 PM JT-Shop2: Jymmm: thing chickens
06:15 PM Jymmm: ah
06:17 PM Crom: nest boxes and nest trays you can take out and clean?
06:17 PM JT-Shop2: I'm thinking of a door on the outside that opens up to clean and rob
06:21 PM JT-Shop2: I'm glad you mention cleaning, I just moved the outside 2x3 to below the nest
06:26 PM JT-Shop2: yep make the floor slide out for cleaning
06:26 PM jym: I'd suggest a grate, 1/2" wire mesh
06:27 PM jym: ?
06:27 PM jym: if you mean the floor of the nest boxes that is
06:35 PM JT-Shop2: nest box is lined with straw or pine chips so a grate is not useful
07:11 PM {HD}: WooHoo I just ordered the shielding gas kit for my mig welder!
07:33 PM Crom: I wish I had a gas capable welder
08:34 PM Cromaglious_: hmm?
09:18 PM {HD}: Hmm what?

09:49 PM roycroft: ha
09:49 PM roycroft: i
09:49 PM roycroft: am glad i didn't finish making my leveling leg mounts
09:50 PM roycroft: the leveling legs that i bought with the 3/4"-10 shafts arrived with m20x2.5 shafts
09:50 PM roycroft: since they are japanese, i strongly suspected that would be the case
10:09 PM {HD}: HD cancelled my order!
10:09 PM roycroft: hd?
10:09 PM {HD}: Home Depot
10:09 PM roycroft: oh
10:10 PM roycroft: that seems unlike them
10:10 PM roycroft: they like money
10:10 PM {HD}: I am on the phone with them now
10:27 PM Cromaglious_: hmmm I don't have metric taps over 8mm
10:27 PM Cromaglious_: Received a CTCP VERSION from noceq
10:32 PM Cromaglious_: heh... didn't you read my credit card when you charged it for this order? It plainly stated on cancelled orders the card is used for there is a 10000% restocking/annoyance fee
10:36 PM Cromaglious_: heh... didn't you read my credit card when you charged it for this order? It plainly stated on cancelled orders the card is used for there is a 10000% restocking/annoyance fee
10:42 PM roycroft: i have the m20x2.5 tap
10:43 PM roycroft: and a 2.5 thread pitch is very close to 10tpi, but it's not close enough
10:43 PM jym: I think he needs a new drillbit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEl-Y1NvBVI
10:55 PM Cromaglious_: That was a great episode!
10:56 PM Cromaglious_: just watched Myfordboy using a chair leg or a banister spindle to tramp his casting sand https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfaGV6RVEq8
10:59 PM Cromaglious_: just waiting for primitive technologies to start making copper items
11:03 PM jym: Cromaglious_: He made a primative hydralic hammer

11:04 PM Cromaglious_: I seen the listing hadn't watched it yet... gotta catch up on my Trucker Josh
11:34 PM jym: Cromaglious_: You were mentioning copper? He's getting there... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVV4xeWBIxE
