12:40 PM rigid: andypugh: did you follow #debian-mentors? It seems line 2 here is the culprit: https://sources.debian.org/src/linuxcnc/2.9.1-2/debian/linuxcnc-uspace.manpages/#L2
01:20 PM pere: <URL: https://yewtu.be/watch?v=GWYhtksrmhE > :)
05:21 PM Unterhaus_ is now known as Unterhausen
06:12 PM andypugh: rigid: Is it the same in https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc-gbp ? That’s what builds the debian debs.
06:13 PM andypugh: To be honest my enthusiasm for being “in debian” has waned to zero. I didn’t put it there, the folk who didput it there are doing nothing to keep it there.
11:23 PM XXCoder: looks like yes
11:24 PM turboss: Hello, I'm goin to bridge this room with the discord and matrix rooms, hope all goes okay, thanks
11:29 PM lcnc-relay: <bioapfelsaft> * I'm trying to implement a small user space component in python. On 2.8 everything works fine but after seeing that linuxcnc 2.9 supports python3 I want to give it a try. So far without luck. I cant even get pip to install my dependencies. It always failed with "error: externally-managed-environment". From the general error message I understand what it's telling me but I have not clue how to fix
11:29 PM lcnc-relay: <bioapfelsaft> it. Is linuxcnc using a venv since 2.9 ? If not i think it might be okay to ignore/dislabe the error. I'm using the latest 2.9.1 pi image.
