12:02 PM roguish[m]: seb_kuzminsky: what's up with buildbot2 ? seems like a lot of orange warnings and a bunch of red fails..... I'm principally watching bullseye master builds......
12:31 PM seb_kuzminsky: roguish[m]: the link for the "30-dsc-uspace.debian-12-bookworm" failure above shows that it was a lintian failure on a PR
12:32 PM seb_kuzminsky: looks like an easy fix, someone added an html file, which lintian thinks should be built from some non-html source format. we have lintian overrides for other html files already, so it'd be a simple copy/paste fix for these new errors
02:21 PM pcw-home: andypugh: do you mind if I add PktUART version 2 support to pktuart.c and mesa_modbus.c ?
02:36 PM andypugh: I am nearly finished doing exactly that.
02:36 PM andypugh: (It requires replacement of the existing hm2_pktuart_setup function)
02:39 PM pcw-home: Yes, I was going to add the filter count to the parameters passed since mesa_modbus should not really know anything about register addresses etc
02:40 PM pcw-home: (the filter count is now split into two 8 bit fields)
02:41 PM andypugh: I have added two new setup fnctions (keeping the old one in case anyone is using it)
02:41 PM andypugh: Should be finished this evening.
02:44 PM pcw-home: I guess the badpop pin could be brought out as a hal bit for debugging
02:44 PM pcw-home: badpop bit I mean
02:45 PM pcw-home: I bought one of those relay modules to test here (not sure if its the same or not)
02:49 PM roguish[m]: seb_kuzminsky: thanks for the explanation. is that up to you to fix, or the guilty one???? no hurry, just watching. I'm helping cmorley and rodw work on probing stuff in qvcp and qtdragon gui.....
03:34 PM linuxcnc-build2: Build [#839](http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#builders/8/builds/839) of `30-dsc-uspace.debian-12-bookworm` 8completed with warnings.
03:41 PM linuxcnc-build2: Build [#975](http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#builders/13/builds/975) of `00-checkin` 3completed successfully.

06:00 PM seb_kuzminsky: roguish[m]: i'm hoping that whoever broke it will fix it
06:00 PM seb_kuzminsky: or ask for help if they don't know how
06:29 PM andypugh: seb_kuzminsky: Broke what? (Was it me?)
06:56 PM seb_kuzminsky: andypugh: oh, roguish pointed out that lintian was failing: http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#/builders/8/builds/838
06:57 PM seb_kuzminsky: i just fixed that particular problem on 2.9 and master, but there might be more
06:59 PM andypugh: linuxcnc source: very-long-line-length-in-source-file 98220 > 512 [src/hal/drivers/mesa-hostmot2/firmware/7i43/CPLD/SOURCE/7I43.ISE:1253]
06:59 PM andypugh: I am not at all sure that file belongs there.
07:01 PM andypugh: pcw-home: I think that this is out of place and out of date? https://github.com/LinuxCNC/linuxcnc/tree/2.8/src/hal/drivers/mesa-hostmot2/firmware/7i43/CPLD
07:02 PM andypugh: Actually seb_kuzminsky put it there in 2008…
07:06 PM seb_kuzminsky: yeah, when i first added hm2 we had the hm2 vhdl and the cpld source code in linuxcnc.git (or was it emc2.git back then...)
07:06 PM seb_kuzminsky: since hm2.git never included the cpld source we opted to keep a copy
07:06 PM seb_kuzminsky: not sure that's useful or practical in any way, but that was the reasoning at the time
07:50 PM linuxcnc-build2: Build [#841](http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#builders/8/builds/841) of `30-dsc-uspace.debian-12-bookworm` 4failed.
07:57 PM linuxcnc-build2: Build [#977](http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#builders/13/builds/977) of `00-checkin` 4failed.
09:31 PM pcw-home: Probably not any more out of date then the 7I43
09:31 PM pcw-home: than the
09:47 PM linuxcnc-build2: Build [#842](http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#builders/8/builds/842) of `30-dsc-uspace.debian-12-bookworm` 8completed with warnings.
09:54 PM linuxcnc-build2: Build [#978](http://buildbot2.highlab.com/buildbot/#builders/13/builds/978) of `00-checkin` 3completed successfully.
