04:15 AM pere: hi

04:49 PM CaptHindsight[m]: is anyone here happy with the current editor for the LCNC forums? :)
05:16 PM JT-Shop2: and you have a way to fix it?
05:17 PM CaptHindsight[m]: is it tied to the CMS system there?
05:18 PM CaptHindsight[m]: can it be fixed without just replacing the whole CMS system?
05:19 PM CaptHindsight[m]: JT-Shop2: https://forum.linuxcnc.org/38-general-linuxcnc-questions/47518-fixing-the-f-king-forum-editor
05:22 PM CaptHindsight[m]: JT-Shop2: they mentioned that looked at fixing it years ago, is it just baked into Kunena?
05:54 PM Tom_L: andypugh, done
05:55 PM JT-Cave: yes the editor is part of joomula
05:56 PM Tom_L: JT-Cave, the drive home a bit heavier?
05:56 PM JT-Cave: a tiny bit we did eat quite a bit lol
05:56 PM Tom_L: i thought you picked something up from grizzly
05:57 PM JT-Cave: oh you mean the 15" disc sander yes it
05:57 PM JT-Cave: 's a few hundred pounds
05:58 PM JT-Cave: not figured out how to lift the sander by myself... no obvious ways to lift it
06:02 PM JT-Cave: I'm just glad we only had some mist on the way home... forecast was for scattered thunder showers and the ridgeline bed is a bit small to close the tonneau cover on the bigger box so I had to put a tarp over it
06:21 PM andypugh: I think it would be hard to move away from Joomla and keep the forum content.
06:21 PM JT-Cave: I think so too
06:22 PM andypugh: Though it is possible that there have been updates to the editor.
06:22 PM JT-Cave: and that sucks were stuck with that crappy editor
06:22 PM JT-Cave: it's been a while since I updated... need to setup this pc to login
06:23 PM JT-Cave: I've been having pc issues down here in the cave were I do dev work but slowly sorting them out
06:23 PM JT-Cave: maybe Jethro Tull can help
06:23 PM andypugh: Looks interesting, just been spammed by DMM: https://dmm-tech.com/DYN5_main.html
06:24 PM roguish[m]: JT-Cave: how about Janis Joplin
06:24 PM andypugh: Supports a whole bunch of ethernet protocols.
06:24 PM JT-Cave: Janis is good too
06:24 PM roguish[m]: andypugh: you guys made the next round..
06:25 PM andypugh: Did we? I was too busy polishing snuff boxes :-)
06:26 PM JT-Cave: pocket box or table box?
06:26 PM andypugh: Sort of between the two
06:26 PM andypugh: Let me get a photo.
06:26 PM JT-Cave: ok
06:30 PM andypugh: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Td9MdurVXkpwnAq28
06:31 PM JT-Cave: interesting design
06:31 PM andypugh: It’s the centenary of the ’22 club (founded in 1922…) and I am making these to pass around at the centenary ball.
06:31 PM JT-Cave: did you cast those?
06:31 PM roguish[m]: andypugh: during yesterday's meeting, there was talk of 2 type of .iso files. a slim, bare basic, and a fat, fluffy one with lots of additional programs. how about a poll on the forum to see what folks want in the fluffy one...????
06:31 PM andypugh: Yes, 3D printed pattern and then cast in pewter in the silicone moulds in the photo
06:31 PM JT-Cave: very nice indeed
06:32 PM andypugh: There will be a YouTube in time. I am quite pleased with the integrally-cast hinges.
06:33 PM andypugh: Some are better than others, I don’t think that there is a single perfect one.
06:33 PM JT-Cave: perfectly unique

06:34 PM andypugh: Did I show this too? I have been making gun parts: https://photos.app.goo.gl/XQ3YGGngsdcUKvG7A
06:36 PM JT-Cave: yes and very nice work
06:37 PM JT-Cave: I shoot my M1 Garand and a few AR-15's and some .22's at a friends range
06:39 PM andypugh: This is for a workmate’s full-bore target rifle, he has been chosen to shoot for England in the Commonwealth Games.
06:39 PM JT-Cave: wow, that's pretty cool
06:39 PM JT-Cave: what caliber of rifle?
06:39 PM andypugh: 7.62 / 308
06:40 PM JT-Cave: I had a .308 a long time ago it's a nice round
06:41 PM andypugh: I shot a ton of .303 back in the day, old Lee Enfields with the Air Cadets. (and, later shooting for my University)
06:42 PM andypugh: Despite what you might thing, there is still sport shooting in the UK.
06:43 PM JT-Cave: ah now I remember it was a .303 enfield I had... dunno what happened to that rifle
06:44 PM JT-Cave: been a long day here traveling so time to retire
