#linuxcnc-devel Calendar
10:17 AM seb_kuzminsky: pere: the 1327 branch introduces a number of differences in the packages, compared to its merge-base with master
10:23 AM seb_kuzminsky: debdiff shows it clearly
11:00 AM -!- #linuxcnc-devel mode set to +v by ChanServ
11:08 AM pere: I expect a lot of hard links to become symlinks, for example. anything problematic?
11:27 AM seb_kuzminsky: yeah, the hardlinks are fixed in that branch, that's good!
11:27 AM seb_kuzminsky: there were some debian/* files accidentally included in the install, and some other things like that
11:28 AM seb_kuzminsky: the branch `test-dh-install` in LinuxCNC/linuxcnc.git is the beginnings of some fixes
11:28 AM seb_kuzminsky: (i wish there was an easier way for us to collaborate on that branch, rather than passing it back and forth among our three separate repos...)
11:31 AM pere: seb_kuzminsky: yeah.
11:34 AM pere: seb_kuzminsky: looking at it now. did the spanish man page rename look good, btw?
11:42 AM pere: seb_kuzminsky: for the po4a migration, I added support for (some) man pages, and started looking at converting the existing translations to PO files.
11:59 AM seb_kuzminsky: thanks for trying to preserve the work that the translators have already done!
11:59 AM seb_kuzminsky: i've got to run, more later :-)
12:09 PM pere: see you. :)
12:50 PM -!- #linuxcnc-devel mode set to +v by ChanServ
03:11 PM pere: seb_kuzminsky: the only real problem I have found so far is /usr/share/metainfo/linuxcnc-uspace.metainfo.xml. Are you aware of anyone else?
03:30 PM pere: seb_kuzminsky: ran 'diff' on debian/ build from master and test-dh-install, and do not find any other problematic changes.
05:08 PM seb_kuzminsky: pere: in linuxcnc-uspace.deb, the metainfo file and the lintian override went missing, the rest of the changes look right
05:08 PM seb_kuzminsky: i haven't checked the other debs yet but they're simpler and may be right or closer to right already
07:38 PM sparafuc1le: causes spurious messages like: sh: 1: PATH: not found
07:40 PM sparafuc1le: In commit 3282ff1c1c533d, shoud it be ${PATH} instead of $(PATH) ?
08:22 PM seb_kuzminsky: sparafucile: you're absolutely right, thanks for the bug report
09:07 PM seb_kuzminsky: should be fixed in the next build of 2.9/master
11:45 PM pere: seb_kuzminsky: right. I'll fix those if you have not already?
