10:10 AM jepler[m]: performing rsync backup of forum manually .. next: power off and create consistent snapshot at digitalocean
10:16 AM jepler[m]: can take up to 1 minute per GB, and we have 30GB, so it may be a moment
10:16 AM jepler[m]: also, confirmed ability to log in via remote virtual console
10:17 AM JT-Shop: I wish I could watch over your shoulder and see what all you have to do
10:18 AM jepler[m]: it's mostly running the ubuntu do-release upgrade in a terminal session
10:18 AM jepler[m]: plus some post-upgrade setup things that are in my notes from the test a few weeks ago
10:19 AM jepler[m]: plus some things within the digitalocean control panel, like making a snapshot in case it all goes horribly wrong
10:19 AM jepler[m]: and anyway how do I know .. I only do this once every 2 years
