08:47 AM JT-Shop: everything seems to be working except the new editor has issues
08:52 AM andypugh_: Many Issus https://github.com/Kunena/Kunena-Forum/issues
08:52 AM JT-Shop: ouch
08:52 AM andypugh_: It looks like mainly it’s problems with CKEditor
08:52 AM JT-Shop: aye
08:52 AM JT-Shop: I wonder why they release something that is so broken?
08:52 AM JT-Shop: anyway off to work
08:52 AM andypugh_: Yeah, ‘cos we never release anything buggy, do we :-)
09:03 AM JT-Shop: who us? no way :)
09:08 AM jepler: andypugh_ Tom_L: any further help with channel privs / topic setting needed? I want to make sure people who should be able to set topic and do other channel admin things have the permissions and I don't think andy does -- you have to "log in" and then I can set you a bunch of flags so you can have chanserv control the channels including the topics
09:20 AM JT-Shop: https://ckeditor.com/cke4/addon/preview I think this is the preview button for ckeditor
09:37 AM JT-Shop: hmm looks like they removed it https://www.kunena.org/forum/k-5-2-support-archive/161071-preview-button-missing
09:38 AM JT-Shop: https://www.kunena.org/forum/k-5-2-support/160646-preview-of-the-message-is-missing-after-k5-2-upgrade
10:26 AM jepler: Is there an alternative editor I should try enabling?
10:26 AM jepler: (the kunena/joomla/community builder updates are unrelated to OS updates, except that I think some of the php updates may have been held back by not having php 7.4 available on the old system .. a key reason to upgrade, because apparently 7.2 is too old now even though it's the newest in a still-supported-by-ubuntu lts)
10:26 AM * jepler uploaded an image: (13KiB) < https://libera.ems.host/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/PbropNmdAeUweGFtNXidcunr/image.png >
10:26 AM jepler: assuming it actually controls what editor the forum uses
10:26 AM jepler: I could change the default if it helps
10:26 AM jepler: .. no, it doesn't.
10:48 AM JT-Shop: I think just give everyone time to get used to it and hopefully they fix the code tags issue with the next update
11:22 AM Roguish: andypugh_, thank you for the release.....
12:37 PM Tom_L: jepler, andy needs to change to his registered nick then he could be, also JT used to be
12:37 PM Tom_L: just need to know which nick is registered
12:56 PM JT-Shop: I need to register here...
01:21 PM JT-Shop is now known as jthornton
01:25 PM jthornton is now known as JT-Shop
01:29 PM Tom_L: JT-Shop, which is your registered nick?
01:29 PM JT-Shop: jthornton
01:29 PM Tom_L: switch back to that for a sec
01:29 PM JT-Shop: k
01:30 PM JT-Shop is now known as jthornton
01:30 PM jthornton: k
01:30 PM jthornton: I'm grouping the rest to jthornton
01:30 PM Tom_L: ok well nevermind, it won't let me do it
01:31 PM Tom_L: jepler will have to
01:31 PM jthornton: do what?
01:31 PM Tom_L: give you ops
01:31 PM jthornton: I think you need a green button
01:31 PM Tom_L: yeah blue is just pretty, does nothing :)
01:31 PM jthornton: lol
01:32 PM Tom_L: i was able to change the topic
01:32 PM Tom_L: but i think that's about it
03:08 PM -!- #linuxcnc-devel mode set to +v by ChanServ
03:11 PM jepler_: jthornton: you now should be able to interact with chanserv to set the topic of #linuxcnc and #linuxcnc-devel, among other things, when you are signed in with services. You set topic via "/msg chanserv topic #linuxcnc ..." instead of "/topic ..." and do NOT need to get a +o flag in the channel itself
03:12 PM jthornton: thanks
03:14 PM jepler_: you can also /msg chanserv help which is not necessarily obvious
03:17 PM jthornton: I'll have to study that a bit
03:25 PM Tom_L: it's a little different from one network to the next
04:51 PM jepler: jthornton: so for problems on wip.linuxcnc.org I have the editor stuff which I can't do anything about (and is related to a community builder upgrade, not the OS upgrade) and the problem with that one forum that I fixed by mysql configuration. Any other items?
04:51 PM jepler: I'm around now, I'll look into delegating privileges
04:51 PM jepler: Did anyone else get a chance to look at wip.linuxcnc.org?
04:53 PM jthornton: I went through again on wip but didn't find anything
05:17 PM jepler: Thanks, I appreciate you looking!
05:18 PM jepler: I'm going to tentatively schedule upgrading the forum for July 17 (saturday) based on my own schedule. The forum would be set to read-only mode for part of the time, and "just down" for part of the time. Total time should be (substantially) under 4 hours
05:27 PM jthornton: ok
06:04 PM jthornton: jepler, tommylight tested out wip and didn't see any issues
08:23 PM jepler: OK, I've deleted `wip` and posted a notice about downtime.
08:27 PM jepler: huh maybe an old old bug that prevented us from running the linuxcnc testsuite in qemu (specifically affecting arm guests) is fixed ... ! https://gitlab.com/qemu-project/qemu/-/commit/228168cbb7cc40bfb1621b0b6868c018b522276a
08:27 PM jepler: in a qemu we'll be able to have on our debian systems in 3 years
