08:01 AM jepler: I've been using riot as an irc client and.. it's not as polished as discord or slack but it has newer on things people seem to like, such as emoji and no need to keep a client program always open
08:02 AM jepler: I am peripheral enough to the community now that my preference about chat servers is not too relevant
