12:33 PM andypugh: Hmm, actually I knew the actual answer to Droid3’s question, and it has little to do with competitiveness. It is about having access to the history of how the model was made. And that is very much dependant on the CAD package itself.
12:35 PM andypugh: Even Fusion isn’t necessarily backwards-compatible with itself (part of why they want to hold your models on the web, so they can convert on the fly). The file that is saved is almost just a memory dump of the model history.
