03:06 PM jepler: JT-Shop: andypugh if either/both of you want additional permissions on the channel I believe I can provide them.
03:10 PM jepler: here or #linuxcnc
03:57 PM JT-Shop: yes thanks
04:01 PM jepler: To have channel permissions you have to be a registered, logged in user. JT-Shop are you? From your "/whois" info it seems like no , because it shows you by IP address
04:01 PM Tom_L: i think you have to be registered to be on freenode anymore
04:01 PM jepler: weird, I thought that non registered users couldn't speak (it's what the topic says)
04:01 PM Tom_L: or it would switch to guestxxxx
04:01 PM Tom_L: times have changed
04:02 PM jepler: OK I see where it says 'account' in whois
04:02 PM Tom_L: since the last hack attack
04:02 PM jepler: JT-Shop: which account(s) do you need me to register with chanserv?
04:02 PM Tom_L: he likely only has one
04:02 PM Tom_L: the others are registered under it
04:02 PM Tom_L: that's how mine is anyway
04:03 PM Tom_L: you just identify as and it associates the nick

04:06 PM jepler_: I agree, it is possible to have multiple connections at the same time with the same account and different nicks. but jt-shop jt-shop2 and jt-cave all seem to be distinct freenode accounts
04:06 PM Tom_L: that's also possible
04:07 PM -!- #linuxcnc-devel mode set to +v by ChanServ
04:07 PM jepler: well, here, have candy
04:08 PM Tom_L: who's the founder? alex?
04:08 PM Tom_L: i could check but i'm lazy
04:08 PM JT-Shop: alex has been here a long time, he is the one that got me started by giving me clues to solve my problems
04:26 PM JT-Shop: IIRC they are separate accounts, I should start using jthornton again downstairs
04:34 PM JT-Cave is now known as jthornton
04:35 PM jthornton: jthornton is good enough
