11:38 AM skunkworks: I seem to only have better latency with idle=poll and sometimes isolcpus
11:42 AM skunkworks: with rt-preempt.. The hp 8300 have individual caches for each core which I think made isolcups work really well
11:44 AM jthornton: is there a 2.8 deb somewhere?
11:45 AM Tom_L: just master on buildbot
11:45 AM Tom_L: http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/
11:46 AM Tom_L: those may need updated since master is 2.9? now
12:09 PM jthornton: I was looking for a deb in http://linuxcnc.org/dists/stretch/
12:12 PM jthornton: I wonder if there is a buildbot 2.8 deb
12:13 PM jthornton: ah yes buildbot has 2.8 now
12:44 PM Tom_L: i could probably switch back to 2.8 now that i removed remap
12:51 PM mozmck_m: I have a simple run from line feature that I made and have been using successfully for several years. I meant to put it in master before 2.8 but never got it done. I'm thinking it might ought to go in anyhow.
12:56 PM jthornton: I think so as well
12:56 PM jthornton: mozmck_m: do we wait for the pre to be done for 2.8 before a deb is placed in linuxcnc.org/dists?
12:58 PM mozmck_m: I'm not sure.
12:59 PM mozmck_m: I'm out right now, but I'll try out later
01:10 PM jthornton: ok
04:33 PM jthornton: pcw_home: in the 7i92 manual page 7 it says "The 5V power option is individually selectable for each of the four I/O connectors." is four a copy and paste error?
09:54 PM pcw_home: Yes, should be 2, the 7I92 manual must have started as a 7I80DB manual
09:56 PM pcw_home: mozmck: I know about no_hz_full (periodic timer interrupts instead of no_hz seem to lower latency)
