08:13 AM jthornton: pcw_home: I built the lubuntu 18.04 5.0.14-rt9 #1 SMP PREEMPT kernel and my latency test with just a 1ms servo thread is 7,812,443 after running a few minutes, what kernel are you using with ubuntu 18?

10:53 AM pcw_home: the 5.x kernel did change where the RT option is in xconfig
10:56 AM pcw_home: If LinuxCNC says "using POSIX non-realtime" that really sounds like you built a stock kernel
