12:44 PM Tom_L: CMorley what sort of mill do you have?
08:14 PM CMorley: Tom_L: emco f1 converted to linuxcnc, i also have a okuma bed lathe (currently with a dead drive) converted to linuxcnc.
08:15 PM CMorley: I got ffm and turn to work - I assume production milling won't work
09:18 PM hazzy-m: CMorley: talking of drives, have you done any more with your STMBLs?
09:18 PM hazzy-m: mine are still sitting on the test bench ...
09:19 PM Tom_L: worked on the macro a bit more
09:19 PM Tom_L: CMorley, no ffm takes it's place
09:19 PM Tom_L: but it's the same with more features
09:20 PM Tom_L: the macro will now do RH & LH threads starting from the top or bottom creating a Z leadin move either way
10:19 PM CMorley: Tom_L ok thanks alot - pretty damn cool
10:23 PM CMorley: hazzy-m: I was testing and had a problem with communication if i drove the motor very fast - probably interference. I decided to switch to my other mesaboard in prep for actually testing in the machine that will use it - had to figure out how to reflash - build a cable etc - so it has not progressed as far as I would like - as always.
