01:10 PM jthornton: can someone cherry pick or what ever you call it commit b1fb19c29e831698d5927dfee42deaf87223c56e Dewey Garret lowpass.comp man page help for setting gain pin to 2.7
01:12 PM seb_kuzm1nsky: sure
01:17 PM Tom_L: jthornton, back in the swamp now?
01:17 PM jthornton: aye
01:19 PM Tom_L: damn i wish there was a way to hide some of these cutter paths
01:19 PM Tom_L: like looking thru a fog
01:20 PM jthornton: Axis
01:20 PM jthornton: ?
01:20 PM Tom_L: no, my cad cam
01:20 PM Tom_L: using the same cutter alot makes it hard to see
05:09 PM pcw_mesa: Well thats nice, the RT kernel for the RPI I installed breaks USB, makes it a bit hard to fix
05:09 PM jthornton: wow
05:23 PM andypugh: pcw_home: Where did you get the RT kernel from?
05:26 PM pcw_mesa: rmu on irc had some debs...
05:27 PM andypugh: There’s an offical source repository here: https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/tree/rpi-4.14.y-rt
05:28 PM pcw_mesa: it may be I need some magic kernel command line options (its a pain to not have grub so you're back to bearskins and stone knives
05:28 PM pcw_mesa: if it doesnt boot)
05:29 PM pcw_mesa: Yeah source/patches for cross compiling... trying to avoid that pain
05:32 PM andypugh: The repository is pre-patched for both Pi and RT. You should just need to compile.
05:34 PM pcw_mesa: well setup a cross compiling environment (or ~8 hours ) and compile (and add the magic kernel command line stuff)
05:36 PM linuxcnc-build: build #553 of 4025.deb-jessie-armhf is complete: Failure [4failed shell_3] Build details are at http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot/builders/4025.deb-jessie-armhf/builds/553 blamelist: Dewey Garrett <dgarrett@panix.com>
05:49 PM seb_kuzminsky: gcc: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault (program collect2)
05:49 PM seb_kuzminsky: summer and cheap armhf buildslaves do not mix
06:03 PM andypugh: You need to Offshore the buildslave to Greenland.
06:05 PM jepler: forum restart soon due to package updates
06:06 PM jepler: and rebooting.!
06:16 PM pcw_mesa: do the armhf builds work on a a RPI?
06:34 PM linuxcnc-build: build #702 of 1540.rip-jessie-armhf is complete: Failure [4failed compile runtests] Build details are at http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot/builders/1540.rip-jessie-armhf/builds/702 blamelist: Kurt Jacobson <kcjengr@gmail.com>, Sebastian Kuzminsky <seb@highlab.com>
07:01 PM seb_kuzminsky: pcw_mesa: i think they should, if the rpi is running debian-armhf
07:18 PM linuxcnc-build: build #5517 of 0000.checkin is complete: Failure [4failed] Build details are at http://buildbot.linuxcnc.org/buildbot/builders/0000.checkin/builds/5517 blamelist: Kurt Jacobson <kcjengr@gmail.com>, Sebastian Kuzminsky <seb@highlab.com>
08:20 PM jepler: pcw_mesa: last time I checked, official "raspbian" is not truly "armhf". https://www.raspbian.org/RaspbianFAQ#Can_I_mix_packages_from_the_Debian_repositories_with_Raspbian.3F
08:21 PM jepler: the limitations that made them choose a different ABI than both "armel" and "armhf" on Debian don't actually exist on current rpi models, but they have preferred to maintain compatibility with all pi models in a single image so afaik they still maintain this incompatibility with debian armhf.
11:10 PM pcw_home: OK so you do need the funny kernel cmd line stuff or you lose USB on the RPI+preempt-RT kernel
11:11 PM pcw_home: dwc_otg.fiq_enable=0 dwc_otg.fiq_fsm_enable=0 dwc_otg.nak_holdoff=0
