05:24 PM fred4106: hey, so quick question about building linuxcnc with 4.1.0-1-rtai kernal (32) bit.
05:26 PM fred4106: Im following the instructions from post 3 on building/installing on mint 18.1
05:26 PM fred4106: I get to the step where I use the following commands "cd linuxcnc-devel/debian", "./configure -r".
05:26 PM fred4106: The problem is I get this output "your kernel '4.1.0-1-rtai-686-pae' is not known. There might be needed dependencies which won't get set automatically."
05:26 PM fred4106: So it claims to have succedded, but do I need to worry about that?
06:04 PM rene-dev: if it works it works. rtai should be ok if it works, the rt preempt can run, but without realtime if you dont have the right kernel. I think on rtai that cant happen, but Im not 100% sure
