11:27 AM IchGucksLive: hi all people are strugeling on the eth we need to take real action to serve them with the wright DVD iso file
11:40 AM IchGucksLive: it cand bee that people need more then a week to get eth 7i80 7i92 7i76e to work
11:41 AM pcw_home: the stretch test ISO is probably the easiest current option
11:47 AM IchGucksLive: pcw_home, link
11:50 AM IchGucksLive: pcw_home, i woudt like to test this do i need to force 32bit or can i go 64 on this strectch to get uspace linuxcnc
11:56 AM pcw_home: There are both 32 and 64 bit images:
11:56 AM pcw_home: http://www.linuxcnc.org/testing-stretch-rtpreempt/
11:57 AM pcw_home: these also have the "meltdown" patches AFAICR
01:18 PM andypugh: The Touchy sim config is a bit useless, as far as I can see. Perhaps it ought to have a VCP jogwheel and buttons provided? Or is the fear that folk will then run machines that way, rather defeating the object of requiring physical buttons?
02:23 PM skunkworks: andypugh: I think that is exactly the feeling
02:23 PM skunkworks: iirc
02:40 PM JT-Shop: I wonder why Touchy requires physical anything when no other gui does
02:58 PM andypugh: The developer didn’t like the idea of a touch-screen causing machine movement. I agree with this, FWIW. Gmoccapy scares me that way.
03:28 PM JT-Shop: I agree it should have a hard wired start/stop estop
03:51 PM cradek: Half the widgets are run by wheel, too. There's no obvious replacement for that...
04:11 PM rene-dev: andypugh: you can disable touch jog in gmoccapy
