07:21 AM hazzy: Roguish: Believe it or not, this is (was?) a G0704: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=384138&stc=1
07:23 AM hazzy: Fantastic conversion thread by Stuart and Nick Miller over on CNCzone: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/benchtop-machines/324194-cnc-51.html
07:23 AM hazzy: Too bad they used mach4 instead of LCNC ...
12:05 PM seb_kuzminsky: who is islander261?
12:12 PM skunkworks: forum person
12:15 PM skunkworks: https://forum.linuxcnc.org/plasma-laser/33788-anyone-actually-using-external-offsets-branch-for-thc?limitstart=0
12:15 PM seb_kuzminsky: ah, thx
01:17 PM jasen: hi all , i need some help for my gui , to show the abs. position , i am using X = emcStatus->motion.traj.actualPosition.tran.x - emcStatus->task.toolOffset.tran.x , but to show the relative that is set (g54,g55...) I am using X = emcStatus->motion.traj.actualPosition.tran.x - emcStatus->task.toolOffset.tran.x - emcStatus->task.g92_offset.tran.x;
01:17 PM jasen: looks like that is wrong as both return the same position
01:18 PM jasen: any sugestion?
02:54 PM sync: jepler_: did you read the ethercat.org website wrt to the GPL2 restriction? I don't think it actually restricts it
05:36 PM mozmck: I just had a user email and suggest a Nativecam subcategory subfolder under the CAD CAM category on the forum. That makes sense to me - more than 54 page thread we have on it now!
05:37 PM mozmck: Any objections?
05:38 PM seb_kuzminsky: fine by me
05:38 PM seb_kuzminsky: what's the status of nativecam these days? what work does it need at this point?
05:39 PM mozmck: I don't know - I really should try it out.
05:40 PM mozmck: If I make the sub-category - should I move NativeCam thread over to it?
05:40 PM skunkworks: what about hosting the deb here?
05:42 PM seb_kuzminsky: yeah we should do that
05:42 PM seb_kuzminsky: are there a lot of nativecam users? do people like it?
05:42 PM mozmck: I dunno, but there's one 54 page thread, and several other long ones on it.
05:43 PM seb_kuzminsky: that sounds pretty active
05:43 PM mozmck: https://forum.linuxcnc.org/40-subroutines-and-ngcgui/31659-nativecam-is-features-renamed?limitstart=0
05:43 PM skunkworks: https://forum.linuxcnc.org/40-subroutines-and-ngcgui/32891-use-nativecam-as-a-deb-package-now?start=100#105441
05:43 PM seb_kuzminsky: i'm so glad you guys are active in the forum
05:44 PM mozmck: Heh, I'm not really - I'm a moderator and look at it a little bit is about all!
05:44 PM seb_kuzminsky: that's more than i do
05:44 PM mozmck: I really like that it will email me for every post - so I can get an overview without going to the forum in a browser.
05:45 PM skunkworks: I have not been active much...
05:45 PM mozmck: Who is Skullworks? That's not you is it skunkworks?
05:45 PM skunkworks: no
05:45 PM seb_kuzminsky: heh
05:45 PM skunkworks: 2 totally different things
05:46 PM mozmck: thought maybe you forgot your name ;-)
05:46 PM seb_kuzminsky: what about scorchworks? http://www.scorchworks.com/
05:46 PM mozmck: mmm, salty air popped corn...
05:47 PM seb_kuzminsky: i made a note to talk to fern about hosting the deb on wlo
05:49 PM skunkworks: heh
05:53 PM mozmck: I posted on the 54 page thread about making a category. I'll wait a bit and see before making the category.
05:53 PM skunkworks: thanks mozmck for your help on the forum
05:54 PM mozmck: No problem - I don't really do much - not enough I'm sure!
06:52 PM Chris_Morley: Not sure who to ask directly - but could we allow python files to be attached on the forum please. iIt's painful having to to cmpress them or change the ending to txt
07:05 PM hazzy: Hear! hear! Chris
07:53 PM mozmck: Chris_Morley: I just added .py as an allowed file type. If someone knows a reason that should not be, we can always remove it again.
08:29 PM seb_kuzminsky: i think it's a good idea to allow it
08:30 PM seb_kuzminsky: it might be slightly dangerous, mean jerks might post malicious code and it'd be slightly easier for naive innocents to click on it and run the malicious code on their machine
08:51 PM Chris_Morley: mozmck: Thank You -hopefully it won't cause any problems.
09:51 PM mozmck: seb_kuzminsky: since it would probably only run in IE on Windows, do we even care? ;-)
