02:09 PM probotix_: hey jeff - in axis, what would be the easiest way to disable all spindle and mdi functions until the machine is homed?
03:21 PM TurBoss: hello
03:22 PM TurBoss: a Wild TorBuss apeared
03:25 PM hazzy: Has anybody attempted porting LCNC to Py3, and if not (in broad terms) what would be required to do so?
03:25 PM hazzy: Many modern UI toolkits like QT5 seem to only support Py3, so even though Py2.7 will be around for a long time yet, it is still a limitation.
03:37 PM TurBoss: https://pythonclock.org/
03:37 PM hazzy: Obviously all the python scripts would need to be migrated to Py3 syntax, but what about other things like the python interface, which I assume is written in C
03:44 PM hazzy: I know it is quite straight forward to make python scripts so that they can be run with both 2.7 and 3 ...
04:12 PM andypugh: hazzy: I think there is even a tool for the purpose
04:12 PM hazzy: There is!
04:12 PM hazzy: https://github.com/PythonCharmers/python-future
04:13 PM hazzy: ^^^ Is that what you were thinking?
04:13 PM andypugh: Possibly.
04:13 PM andypugh: I found it a while ago and then forgot the details.
04:14 PM hazzy: There may be multiple, I would not be surprised
04:40 PM skunkworks: confused - why does limit3 in 2.7-limit3-issue-240 look the same as the old one?
04:43 PM skunkworks: I checked it out thinking it was the same as the machinekit one and it isn't..
04:43 PM skunkworks: so I must be confused :)
04:43 PM skunkworks: bbl will look back
06:48 PM skunkworks: anyone?
