09:47 AM seb_kuzminsky: who names their computer model SynQuacer?
09:49 AM jepler: I dunno, but you might be able to find out if you search the USPTO database
09:50 AM seb_kuzminsky: https://www.cnx-software.com/2017/09/24/gigabyte-synquacer-96boards-enterprise-platform-is-powered-by-socionext-sc2a11-24-core-armv8-soc/
09:59 AM jepler: "GIGABYTE taking care of manufacturing the hardware based on Socionext SC2A11 processor, while Linaro will provide support via 96Boards community." does this mean it's yet another device which will never run a mainline kernel, ever?
10:43 AM seb_kuzminsky: i think one of linario's goals is to mainline the kernel sources
11:22 AM jepler: maybe I'm being too negative
11:22 AM jepler: it does look like at least the .dts of the dragonboard 410c has been upstreamed
03:31 PM seb_kuzminsky: https://www.cnccookbook.com/loved-cnc-controls-2017-survey-results/
03:34 PM hazzy: Nice
04:17 PM JT-Shopp is now known as JT-Shop
05:14 PM skunkworks: hazzy, exciting having a configurable screen
05:15 PM andypugh: Yes, sounds like fun.
05:17 PM skunkworks: Hi andypugh how goes it? for some reason - the guy with g71 wanting to be paid urks me.. Shouldn't - I have been paid for linuxcnc things.
05:17 PM andypugh: It irks me too. SO I am ignoring him.
05:18 PM andypugh: We very nearly have a built-in G71 anyway.
05:18 PM skunkworks: yes - it is very cool
05:19 PM andypugh: I guess I need to prod Ben to see if he has totally lost interest or not :-)
05:21 PM skunkworks: There is so much stuff I would like to see get into master.. I just haven't had time to test and push
05:22 PM andypugh: I am holding back on some stuff until 2.8 is out, but I think that G71 could go in.
05:22 PM andypugh: But i need to remind myself how to code :-)
05:27 PM Tom_L: is that a lathe Gcode?
05:28 PM skunkworks: yes
05:30 PM Tom_L: thread cycle?
05:30 PM Tom_L: that's what okuma uses it for..
05:30 PM seb_kuzminsky: it's a roughing/finishing cycle
06:32 PM Roguish: hazzy: you there?
06:34 PM hazzy: Roguish: Yes, just finished mowing 3 lawns
06:34 PM Roguish: just went \through your build on cnczone. very nice
06:35 PM hazzy: Oh, thank you!
06:35 PM hazzy: Still not done
06:35 PM Roguish: looked at lot of the photos also. did you scrape the ways?
06:35 PM Roguish: scrape anything?
06:35 PM Roguish: other than a few knuckles
06:37 PM hazzy: I scraped a few things in addition to knuckles. Main thing I remember was the head to z-axis slide interface
06:37 PM Roguish: was is bad? rough? lumpy?
06:38 PM hazzy: It was pretty good, but had some high spots so it rocked a little bit. Shaped like a pringle
06:39 PM hazzy: Overall I was very impressed with the machine, for the cost
06:39 PM hazzy: I think I also scraped a bit on the column to base interface
06:40 PM hazzy: I may even have used an angle grinder on that, but I won't say for sure :D
