02:24 PM JT-Shop: I'm running Linux Mint 17.3 preempt master uspace and the pc locks up from time to time when trying to run linuxcnc, is there anyplace to view the errors as I have to power down and back up after that happens
03:03 PM pcw_home: JT-Shop: has linux crashed or just LinuxCNC or X?
03:04 PM JT-Shop: hmm, I think linux but not sure
03:04 PM JT-Shop: how do I tell if it is just X?
03:06 PM pcw_home: change to another virtual console
03:07 PM pcw_home: ( control-alt F1,F2 etc)
03:08 PM pcw_home: control-alt F7 is X (at least on Ubuntu/Mint)
03:09 PM pcw_home: what hardware? There are some video bugs with certain hardware/kernels that cause X crashes
03:15 PM JT-Shop: opps that HD is RTAI and I built master for uspace...
06:56 PM seb_kuzminsky: JT-Shop: still shouldn't crash, that's a bug
07:05 PM pcw_home: if they are X crashes and Its intel hardware I know a couple solutions
