[12:42:51] <JT-Shop> what daughter card would work with a 5i23 for steppers?
[12:48:02] <Tom_L> looks like the 7i67 is step/direction. i used the 7i47s on mine but it may not be the best choice
[12:48:42] <Tom_L> meh, 7i67 isn't 50pin ribbon..
[13:07:09] <JT-Shop> IIRC I just made a breakout board for the 5i20 on my plasma
[13:07:36] <Tom_L> i wanted the differential inputs for stuff too
[13:07:44] <Tom_L> not quite as many io but enough
[13:08:45] <JT-Shop> I see the 7i47 card too
[13:09:04] <Tom_L> S has output for spindle
[13:09:17] <Tom_L> +10v
[13:09:22] <Tom_L> not +- 10v
[13:26:30] <pcw_mesa> 7I47, 7I47S, 7I52S 7I75 (7I75 is not buffered just I/O protection)
[13:30:18] <pcw_mesa> The 7I75 works well for for step/dir drives that have a common anode (common +5V or separate +- inputs)
[13:30:20] <pcw_mesa> but not for common cathode interfaced drives where the FPGA has to source rather than sink current
[14:22:05] <KGB-linuxcnc> 03Dewey Garrett 05master 2377a87 06linuxcnc 10src/hal/components/oneshot.comp oneshot.comp add reset 9602 * 14http://git.linuxcnc.org/?p=linuxcnc.git;a=commitdiff;h=2377a87
[15:02:02] <JT-Shop> thank pcw_home
