[13:28:29] <jepler> I'm going to have limited internet access from Jan 14 to Feb 5. I hope no problems crop up with the forum during that time, but if they do, seb_kuzminsky and cradek have credentials on the digitalocean hosting site, and there are a number of administrators, so if problems DO happen please do what needs to be done. I do hope to read my e-mail a few times a week, but won't necessarily be able to act
[13:28:35] <jepler> on them.
[13:38:14] <JT-Shop> going on a trip?
[13:38:49] <jepler> yeah, I'll be in India for a friend's wedding
[13:39:49] <JT-Shop> have a safe journey
[13:40:07] <jepler> thanks. It's my first trip to India, so I'm sure it will be different
[13:40:49] <skunkworks> pcw_home, do you remember making a bit file for genes bob?
[13:41:22] <JT-Shop> for his 7i90?
[13:41:32] <skunkworks> I think so yes
[13:41:40] <skunkworks> I would probably need it for the 5i25
[13:41:51] <pcw_home> Ive made so many custom ones they all blur together
[13:41:56] * JT-Shop tries to remember what he flashed that card with
[13:41:56] <skunkworks> heh - I bet
[13:42:24] <JT-Shop> you need a database for the names of bit files
[13:43:14] <jepler> pcw_home: hopefully in february my life will let me return to working on all those hostmot2 things we have discussed.
[13:43:49] <skunkworks> Actaully I need something a little different of course.. I am converting one of these emco lathes - servo. the 7i77 is a bit overkill - and I have some pwm input amc drives. So I could just use a 5i25 and have enough i/o for everything I need.
[13:44:32] <skunkworks> But I would need the analog out this card has for the spindle drive - and 2 pwm (pwm+dir) for the amc drives.
[13:46:52] <JT-Shop> I don't think I flashed anything to Gene's 7i90...
[13:47:34] <skunkworks> one of these http://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/GrIAAOSwI-BWL9rT/s-l1600.jpg
[13:48:39] <skunkworks> I will have to play around with it and see if I can figure out what pins I need
[13:51:33] <pcw_home> I think I may have a pinout for that
[13:51:52] <pcw_home> (not PWM of course)
[13:52:10] <skunkworks> right - I figured
[13:53:10] <pcw_home> can you get the encoder inputs through that card?
[13:54:02] <skunkworks> Probably not - I think the inputs to those cards require higher voltage to fire the optos... I was planning on using the second port of the 5i25
[13:54:19] <skunkworks> So that card was going to be limits and such
[13:55:25] <skunkworks> pcw_home, how low pwm will the 5i25 put out?
[13:55:48] <pcw_home> frequency?
[13:56:03] <skunkworks> yes - the amc drives are 5 to 20khz
[13:56:25] <pcw_home> down to a few hundred Hz
[13:56:34] <skunkworks> cool
[13:57:08] <pcw_home> maybe lower
