[07:41:20] <jepler> pi graphics (opengl / gles) are llvmpipe anyway, despite following heirloom internet advice for an hour :-P
[07:41:31] <jepler> someone mentions that with 4.4 kernel it's not working yet, I guess that's it
[07:41:45] <jepler> hm2_rpspi works though, so it's nice to experience that
[09:24:42] <seb_kuzminsky> gr8
[09:48:01] <tinkerer> jepler: nice or pretty nice?
[09:52:44] <jepler> tinkerer: whichever is better
[09:52:52] <tinkerer> hehe
[09:53:17] <tinkerer> thats the point
[09:54:40] <jepler> sorry for my bad english.
[09:54:46] <jepler> I don't grasp the idioms everytime
[09:54:57] <tinkerer> did you remote X?
[09:55:31] <jepler> no, it's on HDMI
[09:55:43] <tinkerer> never mind. ;)
[09:55:47] <tinkerer> aha
[09:57:10] <jepler> I'm not too worried about the opengl thing; as CaptHindsight points out, llvmpipe performs pretty well
[09:57:30] <jepler> better for the glue-gun crowd would be a preview mode in axis that shows a layer at a time, like so many of the grbl front-ends do
[09:57:39] <jepler> .. vs worrying about getting acceleration via OpenGL ES
[09:59:14] <tinkerer> I've used tklinuxcnc per remote x
[10:01:34] <tinkerer> for testing
[10:02:21] <jepler> my desk is a big mess right now, I have recently been using a BBB, a U3, an XU4, and now a PI3. plus there's a full-sized desktop and several mesa cards..
[10:06:20] <CaptHindsight> welcome to the club!
[10:06:42] <CaptHindsight> mine is a pile of boards and parts with legs
[10:08:14] <archivist> when the parts with legs land on the floor upwards....
[10:11:41] <tinkerer> in addition to my duties I tinker on some retro computing parts and lcnc by multiplexing
[10:15:16] <tinkerer> so my desk looks like a geologic sectional view
[10:24:27] <jepler> exactly
[20:41:00] <skunkworks> zlog
[20:41:36] <skunkworks> Stuart, Kim and John visited for a couple hours thursday. It was good to see them.
[20:43:09] <Tom_itx> was that this week?
[20:44:08] <skunkworks> no
[20:44:26] <skunkworks> thew were just passing trough the areA
[20:44:44] <Tom_itx> oh?
[20:44:59] <Tom_itx> coming from a trade show or something?
[21:05:49] <skunkworks> yes - and hgr
