[20:25:16] <andypugh> It’s the lower pink casting. It used to hold the back-gears, so had real work to do. But even then most lathe manufacturers didnt hang their back-gears on 1.25” shafts with needle roller bearings.

[20:28:06] <andypugh> The resolver is nice. It has a splined and screwed shaft, and came with all the crimps and mounting screws and the speciall splined tab-washer and nut. it’s clearly an aircraft part, and says “£1450 firm” on the super-rugged packaging.
