[00:45:42] <jac> whats the deal with all the joint_axes branches? how do they differ?
[00:55:35] <seb_kuzminsky> jac: they are successive rebases onto master
[00:56:20] <seb_kuzminsky> so higher numbers just means more recent master commits are included
[00:57:20] <jac> :seb_kuzminsky: ic, so if i wanted to play with gentrivkins for a dual drive gantry setup, would joints_axes6 be the best place to start?
[00:58:31] <seb_kuzminsky> yep
[00:59:54] <jac> cool. thanks much, thats very helpful.
[01:01:14] <jac> out of curiosity, which release is the joint_axes code being targeted for? or will it always be kept separate ?
[01:07:53] <seb_kuzminsky> that branch has some issues, when they are fixed it can be merged into master and included in whatever release comes after that
[01:08:27] <seb_kuzminsky> as far as i know no one is working on it at the moment, so i have no idea when that will be
[01:08:59] <seb_kuzminsky> if you use that branch, your experiences would be valuable input
[01:09:24] <jac> no worries, without taking too much of your time, would you mind elaborating on what the issues are with that branch ?
[01:11:52] <seb_kuzminsky> problems with nonconsecutive axes (xz for lathes, for example)
[01:12:20] <seb_kuzminsky> missing vel & accel limits for non-trivial kins
[01:13:37] <seb_kuzminsky> that's all i know of
[01:13:52] <jac> ic, well thanks again, ill spend some time with it and keep notes.
[01:16:19] <seb_kuzminsky> sweet
