[11:07:15] <jepler> seb_kuzminsky: branch jepler/2.6/checkglade checks at build time for duplicated IDs. Without the last commit, it's just a warning. There's a block in the new file scripts/checkglade if we want to disable checking for duplicate IDs of certain kinds.
[11:08:13] <jepler> seb_kuzminsky: as far as stepconf goes, I would prefer to hand this over to cmorley, who can arm himself with this script and properly fix it
[11:08:24] <jepler> .. I can bumble around using sed on .glade files but I'm sure that's not the right solution.
[11:08:29] * jepler will attach this info to the bug too

[18:50:24] <seb_kuzminsky> jepler: that's great
[18:51:34] <memleak> seb_kuzminsky, what problems arised again with the 3.4.96 kernel or whatever i made?
[18:51:45] <seb_kuzminsky> cradek: do you want that in 2.5? or do you think we're ready to retire 2.5 and not worry about fixing bugs in it?
[18:51:51] <memleak> you said something about kernel panics, any idea which functions triggered it?
[18:52:22] <seb_kuzminsky> memleak: i have a machine that would panic whenever i plugged in a usb wifi adapter, but i dont remember the details, sorry...
[18:52:40] <memleak> it was USB related not scheduler / IPIPE?
[18:52:45] <seb_kuzminsky> KGB-linuxcnc: why didn't you email me about jepler's push?
[18:52:46] <KGB-linuxcnc> seb_kuzminsky: My master told me to not respond.
[18:53:06] <seb_kuzminsky> memleak: it was triggered by usb plugging, but i dont remember the backtrace
[18:54:06] <seb_kuzminsky> maybe this one? http://highlab.com/~seb/linuxcnc/rtai-oops.jpg
[18:54:16] <seb_kuzminsky> not sure...
[18:54:18] <seb_kuzminsky> bbl
[19:49:49] <cmorley> Hi guys - back from my trip... As far as stepconf problem ... what distribution are you using? I still use 10.04 and it seems to work fine :(
[19:55:15] <cmorley> bbl
[21:09:20] <jepler> cmorley: this affects debian 7, the distro we want to encourage with 2.6.
[21:09:46] <jepler> you can see it if you run the new live dvd/usb
[21:13:34] <jepler> and it also affects ubuntu 14.04
[21:24:01] <jepler> .. I don't have a 12.04 to check
[22:06:40] <skunkworks_> logger[psha]:
[22:06:40] <logger[psha]> skunkworks_: Log stored at http://psha.org.ru/irc/%23linuxcnc-devel/2014-08-03.html
[22:43:27] <seb_kuzminsky> cmorley, jepler: it also affects ubuntu 12.04
[23:08:43] <cradek> seb_kuzminsky: I don't think I care whether 2.5 works on wheezy
[23:09:24] <cradek> in particular stepconf, since it's only used for making new configs
[23:46:58] <cmorley> oh when did we decide on debian? anyways I guess glade messed with how duplicate id's are handled...:(
[23:50:17] <cmorley> bbl
[23:55:51] <seb_kuzminsky> cmorley: i think it's always been a bug, it just didn't bite us until now because we're so lucky and handsome
