[13:25:16] <skunkworks> does someone have master they could test something on?
[13:28:11] <skunkworks> load linuxcnc - home - start running the splash program.. hit F1 to estop. Now load another program. Here it pauses for a good 20 seconds before it loads.
[13:29:14] <skunkworks> sim axis does it.
[13:50:31] <skunkworks> if you try to load another program - it does the same thing. it doesn't seem to fix itself until you bring the machine out of estop and on.
[14:21:07] <Tom_itx> skunkworks, load another gcode file?
[14:21:12] <Tom_itx> loads right away here
[14:21:41] <skunkworks> so you started the linuxcnc - started running a program - estop - then load another program?
[14:21:53] <skunkworks> then it just must be this computer
[14:23:30] <Tom_itx> started lcnc, homed the axis sim, started to run the test program which errored because of limits, loaded another gcode file and it loaded right away
[14:24:55] <Tom_itx> try rebooting and running it again?
[14:25:15] <Tom_itx> wiggle the ram chips
[14:25:36] <Tom_itx> wiggle all the slot connectors
[14:25:53] <Tom_itx> all else fails, aim jt's cannon at it
[14:26:41] <Tom_itx> i've fixed many issues thru the years by reseating ram
[14:27:57] <zeeshan> need some advice. i am communicating with my vfd through modbus. i have a pin called "mvx9000rtu.fault" when its 1 vfd is in fault mode, when its 0 vfd is not in fault mode.
[14:28:03] <zeeshan> i want to associate this pin with e-stop
[14:28:09] <zeeshan> how can i do this? i really don't know how to start.
[14:28:26] <skunkworks> Tom_itx, this is a sim install on my laptop
[14:28:33] <skunkworks> not running a real machine
[14:29:07] <Tom_itx> i know
[14:29:09] <Tom_itx> i was too
[14:29:27] <skunkworks> I will reboot and try again.. It has been up for a few weeks
[14:29:41] <Tom_itx> shouldn't matter but it's always worth a try
[14:34:21] <skunkworks> right
[14:34:28] <skunkworks> this is 12.04 also
[15:37:03] <KGB-linuxcnc> 03Dewey Garrett 05master a3902a9 06linuxcnc xhc-hb04 wireless USB MPG pendant (branch merge) * 14http://git.linuxcnc.org/?p=linuxcnc.git;a=commitdiff;h=a3902a9
[20:35:29] <KGB-linuxcnc> 03Dewey Garrett 05master ea484a1 06linuxcnc 10nc_files/gcmc_lib/drill.gcmc drill.gcmc: rename repeat to repeatct * 14http://git.linuxcnc.org/?p=linuxcnc.git;a=commitdiff;h=ea484a1
[20:36:38] <skunkworks> re-boot didn't help. Odd. I should have tried the other computers
[20:43:42] <dgarr> skunkworks: i can duplicate the behavior you describe in sim (master)and have seen it on running machine in 2.5 too. it is a timeout somewhere, i looked into it once but never understood exactly what causes it or why it doesn't always occur
[20:49:29] <skunkworks> ah - ok. If I don't see a bug report - I will make one. Thanks!
[20:49:53] <dgarr> so you're not crazy (or we both are)
[20:50:03] <micges> skunkworks: I see error, task won't escape exec state on estop
[20:50:10] <micges> it's a bug
[20:51:45] <skunkworks> there must be a time out?
[20:52:30] <micges> yes going trought all timeouts makes it as hang for a while
[20:52:51] <skunkworks> boy I remember an issue like this a while ago.. I think it had to do with estopping while a tool change..
[20:53:11] <micges> probably estop from F1 doesn't syncing all stuff
[20:53:40] <skunkworks> if you hit he button on axis you get the same behavior.. If that matters
[20:54:08] <skunkworks> micges: how are things by you? Still stable?
[20:55:37] <micges> you asinh about ethernet?
[20:55:40] <micges> asking
[20:57:42] <skunkworks> I meant more about the ukrane...
[20:57:57] <micges> ah
[20:58:03] <micges> not good
[20:59:06] <micges> 100 deaths, totall desinformation
[21:00:50] <micges> rioters made ultimatum that president must dismiss by tomorrow 10.00
[21:02:08] <skunkworks> yeck
[21:04:08] <micges> imo there are 4 group of interest there, that's why it is lasting 3 months now
