01:58 PM hazzy-m: I turned my first polly-v on a manual lathe, it took a full day, but worked
01:58 PM Joco[m]: Think so. Once keyway is cut i will put in the 2 set screws. One goes directly on the key. So need that feature in first.
02:01 PM Joco[m]: The most time consuming part was actually the bore. I wanted a nice tap onto a 16mm motor shaft. Got the bore 16.01mm to within 0.003mm.

02:03 PM Joco[m]: The actual grooves didn’t take too long. But i did have a detailed drawing. And dro on lathe makes a big difference.

02:05 PM Joco[m]: I had mine all layed out and proofed before starting with the form tool.
02:06 PM Joco[m]: Heh. Ive gotten more patience as gotten older.
02:07 PM Joco[m]: I think seeing two kids through their teenage years helped.
