01:20 AM Joco[m]1: has anyone gotten a linux/qtpyvcp dev setup running in a virtual machine? I have tried virtualbox but getting issues with GL version not being high enough.

04:15 AM TurBoss: ops
04:16 AM Joco[m]1: my work machine is a macbook. So trying to get a setup where I can tinker on my UI when on the train in the morning going to work then coming home.
04:17 AM Joco[m]1: virtualbox has been my go to for years. Now its failing me.

04:12 PM Joco[m]1: Yah. MacBook VM for working on qtpyvcp and own gui worked an treat on train into work this morning
04:14 PM Joco[m]1: hazzy: are you still tinkering with that pull request or are you waiting for me to do something ? Sorry lost track.
05:12 PM Joco[m]1: question: seeing this warning in designer under Debian 9. This results in the UI not loading correctly. Works fine under Mint 19 so guess some QT version difference.
05:12 PM Joco[m]1: ```
05:12 PM Joco[m]1: WARNING virtual QVariant QDesignerPropertySheet::property(int) const invoked for "a_dtg" was passed an invalid index -1 .
05:27 PM Joco[m]1: do I need to install something extra or is this just a good old version compatability issue.
05:44 PM hazzy-m1: Joco: can you tell what's triggering that warning?
05:45 PM hazzy-m1: I'm tinkering with the PR, sorry for the delay. Been working long days
05:52 PM Joco[m]1: hazzy: I’ll check. It’s either a dro widget or a label.
05:52 PM Joco[m]1: hazzy: re delay - don’t be silly. Was just making sure I wasn’t the hold up. :-)
05:56 PM Joco[m]1: hazzy: it’s a DROwidget triggering that message.
07:09 PM hazzy-m1: Joco: Ah, ok. so the new DROWidgets will resolve that
07:10 PM Joco[m]1: <hazzy-m1 "Joco: Ah, ok. so the new DROWidg"> Cool. Looking forward to using them.
07:13 PM CaptHindsight: hazzy-m1: business is still brisk?
07:14 PM CaptHindsight: FABTECH is November 18-20 in Las Vegas
07:17 PM CaptHindsight: IMTS Chicago is cancelled
07:18 PM hazzy-m1: CaptHindsight: business is unbelievable. Can't keep up. One of our best months ever in may, and june is looking even better
07:20 PM hazzy-m1: MetalCon, IRE and FABTECH all all within a month of each other and all in Vegas this year. Not looking forward to it
07:21 PM CaptHindsight: hazzy-m1: will you be at all 3 in Nov?
07:24 PM hazzy-m1: yes, and I'm in charge of all three. Usually they are a little more spread out and its still a marathon. I'm hoping to just leave some of the machines in Vegas if I can find a storage location, rather then keep shipping them back and forth across the country.
07:32 PM CaptHindsight: i have space in Chicago if it comes up
07:32 PM CaptHindsight: keep and eye on them, lubed etc
07:39 PM Joco[m]1: hazzy: what type of machines you having to get lugged about?
07:44 PM hazzy-m1: CaptHindsight: I'll keep that in mind, could be beneficial for both of us
07:46 PM hazzy-m1: Joco: large format industrial sheet metal folders. Up to 20mm thick mild steel 5m long
07:48 PM Joco[m]1: yikes. Big/heavy stuff.
07:51 PM hazzy-m1: We have a very large range of machines, small highly automated, to large and relatively dumb.
07:51 PM hazzy-m1: Here I am folding up a small Siemens electrical enclosure: https://youtu.be/DldU_3NFmDc
07:51 PM hazzy-m1: trying to film and run the machine at the same time does not work so well lol
07:54 PM hazzy-m1: ATC on that same machine: https://youtu.be/moyABjp8Zdw
07:58 PM hazzy-m1: I miss my baby. I did so many demos and shows on that machine. Then somebody in texas needed a machine a few months ago and we couldn't get one from Europe because of COVID, so I had to give her up. But she is in good hands.
08:55 PM Joco[m]1: Heh. Know the feeling. My little workshop is full of my babies.

09:11 PM Lcvette: \o/
09:11 PM Lcvette: looking good hazzy
09:11 PM hazzy-m1: hahaha
09:11 PM Lcvette: try a charcoal with white letter for the editor
09:11 PM Lcvette: would look sharp with that blue
09:12 PM hazzy-m1: I'm not worried about colors now, just function\
09:12 PM hazzy-m1: but this is more bearable then the orange
09:12 PM hazzy-m1: it will be nice to be able to have the codes bold. and the values normal
09:13 PM hazzy-m1: etc.
09:13 PM hazzy-m1: I think i'm gonna push, so joco and admire the royal mess I have created lol
09:14 PM CaptHindsight: i lost track of the work here 1-2 months ago during the lockdown
09:14 PM hazzy-m1: gn8
09:15 PM CaptHindsight: have some updatin to do
09:16 PM CaptHindsight: Lcvette: I saw some pics you posted, is it a small ATC or similar?
09:16 PM hazzy-m1: CaptHindsight: not too much new in master, I'm holding up the merge of all the new goodies as usual

09:18 PM Lcvette: CaptHindsight: that is a power upgrade for the G0704
09:18 PM Lcvette: www.smallshopconcepts.com
09:18 PM Lcvette: more info there
09:18 PM Lcvette: but yes we are developing an atc to go with it
09:18 PM Lcvette: \o/
09:21 PM CaptHindsight: should the surface of your coolant tank look like a National Geographic focus on water problems?
09:22 PM CaptHindsight: ah these https://www.grizzly.com/products/Grizzly-7-x-27-1-HP-Mill-Drill-with-Stand/G0704
09:28 PM Lcvette: ?
09:28 PM Lcvette: yes coolant should look nasty
09:28 PM Lcvette: lol
09:28 PM Lcvette: no.. get a filter and keep tramp oil removed with a skimmer
09:29 PM CaptHindsight: i use an antibacterial coolant that never has an odor
09:30 PM CaptHindsight: i just happened to take a peak inside machine that was not run for 6+ months
11:21 PM Joco[m]1: <hazzy-m1 "I think i'm gonna push, so joco "> Lexer is finicky. I spent a lot of time steeping through code line by line to figure out what is happening. Plus reading the C++ docs. My original plan was to do small iterative releases. :-). All your clever italics/bold was next to do.
