12:20 PM JT[m]: cool
12:21 PM TurBoss: lens is 130x
02:57 PM hazzy-m: jthornton: lol
02:57 PM hazzy-m: Those are probably worth a couple hounded each
03:14 PM JT-Shop: hazzy-m, how's the bar widget coming along?
05:36 PM roguish[m]: the entire SF Bay
05:36 PM roguish[m]: the entire SF Bay Area just received a
05:36 PM roguish[m]: a 'shelter in place order
05:37 PM roguish[m]: order from all the county governments. no 'non-essential' businesses can operate.
05:37 PM TurBoss: same here
05:37 PM roguish[m]: https://www.eastbaytimes.com/2020/03/16/coronavirus-six-bay-area-counties-to-shelter-in-place/
05:37 PM TurBoss: since today
05:38 PM TurBoss: i mean seriously today x
05:40 PM roguish[m]: you are in Spain, right?
05:40 PM TurBoss: yes
05:41 PM roguish[m]: cuidado
05:41 PM TurBoss: :-)
05:42 PM roguish[m]: I have a woman friend in northern Italy. she and her family have been locked in for at least a week now.
05:42 PM TurBoss: its scary
05:50 PM hazzy-m: yikes
05:50 PM hazzy-m: wonder if that will happen here
05:52 PM TurBoss: take food for 15 days
05:52 PM TurBoss: lol
05:53 PM TurBoss: nah
05:53 PM TurBoss: supermarket is open here
05:53 PM roguish[m]: time to go for a ride or hike or something....
05:53 PM TurBoss: tabako also
05:53 PM Lcvette: roguish: do you mountain bike?
05:53 PM roguish[m]: no, just rode bike
05:53 PM roguish[m]: for now at least.
05:53 PM Lcvette: gotcha
05:54 PM Lcvette: im shopping for mountain bikes for me and the wife
05:55 PM roguish[m]: ya might look into what is now being called a 'gravel bike' may be more versatile
05:56 PM roguish[m]: https://www.bikeradar.com/advice/buyers-guides/best-gravel-bikes/
05:56 PM roguish[m]: those are sorta expensive, but it shows what they are......
05:57 PM Lcvette: cool will look into it
05:57 PM Lcvette: ah yeah we are goin to ride all the trails we have locally
05:57 PM Lcvette: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv3xHwfL2Ng
06:00 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: I used to be into mountain biking, but with modern tires a road bike is almost more versatile and reliable
06:00 PM hazzy-m: I ride mostly on the road and packed trials though, so depends on how you like to ride
06:01 PM Lcvette: trails only
06:01 PM hazzy-m: those gravel bikes looks nice!
06:01 PM Lcvette: maybe around the neigborhood
06:01 PM Lcvette: i wanna jump things too
06:01 PM Lcvette: the motocrosser in me
06:01 PM Lcvette: lol
06:01 PM Lcvette: wife probably wont though
06:01 PM hazzy-m: hahaha
06:02 PM Lcvette: so i am looking at a full suspension bike
06:03 PM Lcvette: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/gravity/27.5plus-mid-fat-bikes-fsx-boost.htm
06:04 PM jthornton: that's what I need mine beats the crap out of me on the rough stuff
06:04 PM Lcvette: yeah i knew going in i wanted a plush ride over roots and stuff
06:04 PM jthornton: 27.5 I think is better than my 29er
06:04 PM Lcvette: my back can't take much of a beating anymore
06:06 PM Lcvette: yeah i looked at the 29er's but i think the 2.8 plus size tires and 27.5" like that one along with the suspension will give a pretty comfortable ride
06:06 PM Lcvette: may add lockout shocks down the road for more street riding
06:06 PM Lcvette: but will see
06:06 PM jthornton: I feel a bit tall with the 29er, the 26 was much more nimble
06:06 PM Lcvette: that bike seems to ave some nice features for the money and decent build parts to start off with
06:07 PM Lcvette: yeah thats what ive been reading
06:14 PM Lcvette: jthornton: do you mountain bike?
06:15 PM Lcvette: or gravel bike?
06:15 PM Lcvette: if so what bike do you have and do you like it?
06:15 PM Lcvette: other than the tallness? but more quality etc
06:15 PM jthornton: we have 25 miles of trails nearby and I have a Giant 29er but feel a bit too high sometimes
06:17 PM Lcvette: only front suspension?
06:17 PM jthornton: after falling in the creek a few months back and not being able to stop the fall I started thinking about a 27.5"
06:17 PM Lcvette: ah gotcha
06:17 PM Lcvette: yeah im right i between sizes too so i think i may opt for the siz smaller frame
06:18 PM jthornton: looks like I can ride the smaller frame at 5'9" - 1/2" of shrinkage over the years
06:18 PM Lcvette: yeah..lol im with ya
06:19 PM Lcvette: im getting the wife the smaller bike
06:19 PM Lcvette: with the ladies specific saddle
06:19 PM Lcvette: http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/mercier/womens-mountain-bikes/mtelle-elite-ladies-mountain-bikes.htm
06:19 PM Lcvette: looks like its the same bike in girlly colors ad smaller frame size offerings
06:21 PM Lcvette: jthornton: and im getting somethign like this too..lol
06:21 PM Lcvette: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07ML5YTFM/ref=sspa_dk_detail_2?psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzTlI3UFcyR0hMWUJaJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMjY3ODAxM1VSRVE3UTNDN0RLNCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwMjYwNjgyTVROMUpXN1k5SU40JndpZGdldE5hbWU9c3BfZGV0YWlsMiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU=
06:21 PM Lcvette: big cushiony saddle with springs
06:21 PM Lcvette: i like to be comfy
06:26 PM jthornton: I stand more than sit but I have the foam tights I wear too
06:27 PM jthornton: looks like a nice seat
06:34 PM roguish[m]: ok, just ordered a toy to play with https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07VFCB192/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_image_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
06:34 PM roguish[m]: while in lock down
06:36 PM roguish[m]: jthornton: what mesa board did you say was good with the Pi ? similar to the 6i24. adn do you have oone in stock?
06:36 PM jthornton: any Ethernet board
06:36 PM jthornton: stepper or servo?
06:36 PM roguish[m]: servo, for sure.
06:37 PM jthornton: you have a 7i77 now?
06:37 PM roguish[m]: 6i24
06:37 PM jthornton: ah 50 pin
06:37 PM roguish[m]: yeah
06:38 PM roguish[m]: oh, and would I need a usb nic also?
06:39 PM jthornton: well if you want to surf yea
06:39 PM jthornton: hmm 7i93 has two 50 pin headers
06:40 PM jthornton: 7i80HD-16 has 3 50 pin headers
06:42 PM roguish[m]: 7i93 is $60 less than the 7i80
06:42 PM roguish[m]: $90 vs $150
06:44 PM roguish[m]: just checked. the mill uses all 3 headers on the 6i24
06:51 PM jthornton: 7i92M and 7i77 would work as well
07:12 PM hazzy-m: roguish: that's the same kit I have, its pretty good
07:13 PM hazzy-m: I think JT has the same one too
07:14 PM roguish[m]: right now i have all 3 50-pin headers in use, but not stuffed. I may be able to consolidate to 2 headers. then the 7i93 would be fine. my 'servos
07:15 PM roguish[m]: servos take pwm/dir inputs, not 0-10 volts
07:15 PM roguish[m]: at least right now.
07:16 PM roguish[m]: i'll see how this week shakes out for work. i think the company i'm working with is going to hacew to close. we'll probably keep engineering though....who knows.....
09:05 PM Not: [02qtpyvcp] 07TurBoss pushed 031 commit to 03opencv [+1/-0/±2] 13https://git.io/JvP97
09:05 PM Not: [02qtpyvcp] 07TurBoss 03e37bdf3 - fix svg slider on designer
09:09 PM TurBoss: CaptHindsight: how are thos svg files?
09:09 PM TurBoss: can I have anexample?
09:11 PM CaptHindsight: let me see
09:11 PM CaptHindsight: Slic3r can create them from STL files, but let me look for one I can pastebin
09:12 PM TurBoss: cool
09:18 PM CaptHindsight: https://garyhodgson.github.io/slic3rsvgviewer/
09:18 PM CaptHindsight: 3 example svg's here and an HTML viewer to see all the layers
09:19 PM TurBoss: i see
09:19 PM TurBoss: how can I download them?
09:21 PM CaptHindsight: https://github.com/garyhodgson/slic3rsvgviewer
09:21 PM CaptHindsight: https://github.com/garyhodgson/slic3rsvgviewer/tree/gh-pages/examples
09:21 PM TurBoss: ty
09:23 PM CaptHindsight: Andys slicer and Slic3r create different SVG files
09:23 PM TurBoss: what do you need?
09:24 PM CaptHindsight: but Andywas working on slicing 3d models right from an autodesk model, think it was Inventor
09:24 PM CaptHindsight: Slic3r
09:24 PM TurBoss: ok
09:24 PM CaptHindsight: i just had to change how the xml is parsed in Andy SVG viewer
09:25 PM CaptHindsight: think it was just the namespace
09:26 PM CaptHindsight: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ChKmIHP7G_U if you watch the video up close you can see the HAL commands Andy used for his viewer
09:28 PM hazzy-m: CaptHindsight: how are the tool paths defined for each layer?
09:28 PM CaptHindsight: hazzy-m: resin printers are raster
09:28 PM hazzy-m: duh
09:29 PM CaptHindsight: heh
09:29 PM * hazzy-m should go back to sleep lol
09:30 PM CaptHindsight: hazzy-m: but a printer can have more than just Z axis motion
09:31 PM CaptHindsight: there might be a wiper that wipes over the surface of the resin after each layer
09:31 PM CaptHindsight: or step X and Y and stay on the same Z
09:31 PM CaptHindsight: for larger print area with a single projector
09:32 PM CaptHindsight: or you might have a projector and inkjet heads that scan over the resin
