07:48 AM Not-c468: [02probe_basic] 07dremeier commented on pull request 03#6: uptodate - 13https://git.io/Jvq74
08:06 AM dremeier[m]: I´ve a problem to pull from kcjengr/probe_basic to my dremeier/probe_basic. In GitKraken I got the Message: "fork_collab Fork collab can´t be granted by someone without permission"
08:07 AM dremeier[m]: in my there are some changed files, and whant to merge the new from your repro. What I´m doing wrong?
08:07 AM hazzy-m: Have you forked probe_basic?
08:08 AM dremeier[m]: sure
08:08 AM dremeier[m]: https://github.com/dremeier/probe_basic
08:08 AM hazzy-m: You need to pull and merge or rebase y
08:08 AM hazzy-m: Your changes
08:08 AM hazzy-m: Sek And I'll take a look
08:11 AM * dremeier[m] uploaded an image: pull-request.png (87KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/jauriarts.org/FRQceRRosnBbLMryvJglewKl >
08:11 AM dremeier[m]: this is what I did
08:29 AM hazzy-m: that will open a pull request
08:29 AM hazzy-m: all you need to do it pull and merge
08:32 AM dremeier[m]: yes, but why I got the error message: no permission?
08:33 AM hazzy-m: dremeier: do you have kcjengr/probe_basic added as a remote?
08:33 AM hazzy-m: show me what is under your remote tan on the left panel of gitkraken
08:34 AM hazzy-m: tan => tab
08:36 AM hazzy-m: what you need to do is drag and drop kcjengr/master onto dremeier/master and select merge
08:38 AM * hazzy-m uploaded a video: Peek 2020-01-26 09-30.mp4 (128KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/sZtyWPcYWMrMjSpEeSQjXXwG >

08:38 AM dremeier[m]: you mean this?
08:38 AM hazzy-m: perfect
08:39 AM hazzy-m: see them menu that popped when I dragged the first time? You will get that same menu when you drag the direction I did the second time
08:39 AM hazzy-m: when you get that menu select the item that says merge
08:46 AM dremeier[m]: ok that works, thank you so much
08:47 AM hazzy-m: absolutely!
08:47 AM dremeier[m]: so I don´t need a pull request, just drop your master over mine?
08:48 AM hazzy-m: yes, that's all you have to do to merge changes we make into your fork
08:48 AM hazzy-m: you only need to open a pull request if you want to merge your changes into the main kcjengr repo
08:48 AM dremeier[m]: perfect👌 🙏
08:49 AM dremeier[m]: so now I´ve to make a oilchange on my car😩 , see you
08:52 AM hazzy-m: can you do mine too? :D

01:59 PM Lcvette: do you guys know of any micro screw terminal pass through blocks?
02:00 PM Lcvette: i need to make some connections inside the small motor housing for the coolant aiming nozzle project and would like for them to be screw terminal type connections for mating two different sized wires
02:00 PM Lcvette: will be much easier
02:00 PM Lcvette: but nw sure where to find such a small screw temrinal pass through block
02:12 PM jthornton: Wago makes small spring connectors
02:16 PM Lcvette: cool i will check them out

02:53 PM Lcvette: nice
02:54 PM Lcvette: right
03:04 PM hazzy-m: Those old PBs are great
03:05 PM hazzy-m: The BP Romi lathe also runs on a 386, my favorite lathe control

03:46 PM hazzy-m: TurBoss: hello
03:46 PM hazzy-m: JT-Shop: what is that for?
03:47 PM hazzy-m: is that a angle motor for driving a conveyor?
03:51 PM JT[m]: It a DC driver that tightens large diesel connecting rod cap bolts
03:53 PM JT-Shop2: I forget the torque but the second part is a safety cage so if the bolts break it won't break someones leg

06:58 PM Lcvette: ok, what else do you guys think it may need?
06:59 PM Lcvette: I put a home switch in it, the step motor and a micro screw terminal board
06:59 PM Lcvette: to make wiring connections easier
07:07 PM * roguish[m] uploaded an image: image.png (122KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/pKcovKqqKbasaTNadGRgFIth >
07:08 PM Lcvette: roguish: whatcha got there?
07:09 PM Lcvette: i plan on having home be perpendicular to the spindle shaft
07:09 PM Lcvette: and have the motor on an axis
07:09 PM roguish[m]: Lcvette: that's from the old Haas V4. it has a controlled coolant nozzel. not sure how to turn it on. I think it's by amanual valve.
07:09 PM Lcvette: and moves will be in G90 G53 so always relative to the home position angle which will be zero
07:09 PM roguish[m]: then the usual m8/m9
07:10 PM Lcvette: yeah this will just be activated with m8/m9
07:10 PM Lcvette: its just a flow through
07:10 PM Lcvette: but the aiming of it is what is important to me
07:10 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: mspaint_puRKYseJ4O.png (13KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/HQyttbmYeNDOfnzaDRngTzlt >
07:11 PM Lcvette: this is the calculation i made yesterday to use in the macro
07:11 PM roguish[m]: the Haas only moves in one plane. I think up and down. Haven't ever tried to use it
07:11 PM Lcvette: so on tool changes it will pull in the tool length offset
07:11 PM roguish[m]: yeah. saw that yesterday. the programmer has turned mathematician.
07:11 PM Lcvette: and with that it will have all the data needed to aim at the tool at the correct angle
07:12 PM Lcvette: no just my way of hashing out what i want a macro to do
07:12 PM Lcvette: lol
07:12 PM Lcvette: i need pictures
07:12 PM Lcvette: lol
07:12 PM roguish[m]: dude not a problem. pics always help. lessons the confusion.
07:13 PM roguish[m]: and good for later reference when you have totally forgotten what you did........
07:13 PM Lcvette: that is a true statement..lol
07:13 PM Lcvette: madcow gets me everytime i try and remember something
07:14 PM roguish[m]: well. no madcow here. just
07:14 PM roguish[m]: A
07:14 PM roguish[m]: G
07:14 PM roguish[m]: E
07:14 PM Lcvette: lol
07:14 PM Lcvette: crs
07:14 PM Lcvette: can't remember shit
07:15 PM roguish[m]: when you get it working. think about how to 'monitize' it. maybe a product....
07:15 PM Lcvette: im excited about this project!
07:15 PM Lcvette: you guys ever have circuit boards made?
07:15 PM roguish[m]: once.
07:15 PM roguish[m]: easy
07:16 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: yeas, very cheap and easy
07:16 PM Lcvette: i made one up for the temrinal block because for some reason no one offers anything this small
07:16 PM hazzy-m: just walk to the lab down the hall and give them the eagle cad schematics and pick it up the next morning
07:16 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: image.png (74KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/DQPgKWGUmRXpuampljoQkMPf >
07:16 PM hazzy-m: I got spoiled working in a research lab lol

07:18 PM Lcvette: its for the little screwtemrinal passthrough board i made there to fit inside thios contraption
07:18 PM hazzy-m: I bet I do, but I haven't tried in a while, last thing I got done was some water jetting, and nobody even asked if I was still working their lol
07:18 PM Lcvette: because i know its probably the easiest way to make connections for the motor and optical home switch
07:19 PM hazzy-m: Looks like a slick design
07:19 PM hazzy-m: are those standard gears?
07:19 PM Lcvette: yes
07:19 PM Lcvette: i made sure everything i used was in stock
07:19 PM Lcvette: and used the models for them
07:19 PM Lcvette: sdpsi
07:20 PM Lcvette: maybe i jumbled the letters
07:20 PM Lcvette: the shaft is a standard 8mm shaft
07:20 PM Lcvette: the end bearings are cheap 608-2rs bearings
07:20 PM Lcvette: its a very inexpensive thing to buy all the parts for
07:20 PM Lcvette: but that screw temrinal board is custom because nothing else i found would fit that i could source
07:21 PM Lcvette: including stock, all parts come in under $100
07:45 PM Lcvette: hazzy: do they assemble there too?
08:07 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: yes, they have a pick n place robot
08:08 PM Lcvette: :o
08:08 PM hazzy-m: SDP/SI is awesome!
08:08 PM Lcvette: yes
08:08 PM Lcvette: been using them for over a decade now
08:08 PM Lcvette: low them
08:08 PM hazzy-m: get all my timing belts and pullies from them
08:08 PM Lcvette: lcvette is very confused trying to find a place to make complete pcbs
08:08 PM Lcvette: seems like a simple enough thing
08:08 PM hazzy-m: china lol
08:11 PM hazzy-m: these guys are local, but not sure theyll do small quantities of

08:13 PM Lcvette: i bet pcw_home would know
08:13 PM Lcvette: but i have not see him active in a while
08:13 PM Lcvette: maybe he can help, i have been selling lots of his cards for him lately
08:13 PM Lcvette: lol
08:14 PM Lcvette: 4 cards just in the last week
