11:34 AM TurBoss: JT-Shop: Up
11:34 AM Lcvette: its fixed?
11:34 AM Lcvette: :o
11:34 AM TurBoss: not done yet
11:34 AM TurBoss: it runs from the line where the cursor is
11:34 AM TurBoss: not the one you clicked on the menu
11:35 AM TurBoss: so you must click first to set focus
11:35 AM TurBoss: then run from here
11:36 AM JT[m]: looking good, you might want to disable it if program run is not enabled
11:36 AM JT[m]: just tested it...
11:36 AM TurBoss: very true
11:36 AM * JT[m] goes back to work now
11:37 AM Lcvette: i just tried it but i can't make it work
11:37 AM TurBoss: what happends?
11:37 AM Lcvette: nothing
11:37 AM Lcvette: not sure how to select the run from here line in probe basic
11:38 AM TurBoss: right click on line
11:39 AM Lcvette: that worked
11:39 AM Lcvette: how do i make the run from here button?
11:40 AM TurBoss: cool
11:40 AM Lcvette: should be clicked?
11:40 AM TurBoss: how do you run from here?
11:40 AM Lcvette: ]i rigth clicked like you said, but there is usually and button for it
11:41 AM Lcvette: not sure how it normally works in linuxcnc
11:41 AM TurBoss: right click
11:41 AM Lcvette: in mach3 there is a button and you scroll the window to the line you want to start from
11:41 AM TurBoss: oh
11:41 AM Lcvette: click the button to high light it then press cycle stsart
11:41 AM TurBoss: you can give a try
11:41 AM TurBoss: :D
11:42 AM Lcvette: then it asks a series of questions about starting the spindle etc
11:42 AM TurBoss: you/me
11:43 AM TurBoss: I'll add a signal that sends the selected line to a label maybe?
11:43 AM TurBoss: or a button directly
11:43 AM Lcvette: maybe?
11:43 AM Lcvette: i dunno its greek to me in linuxcnc
11:44 AM JT-Shop: that would be great TurBoss
11:44 AM Lcvette: or a pop up?
11:45 AM Lcvette: would be great if it popped up a blurb
11:45 AM Lcvette: with a note about starting the spindle
11:46 AM Lcvette: or does linuxcnc cycle through the code and auto start the spindle?
11:48 AM TurBoss: it runs from there if is off it continues off
11:48 AM Lcvette: so maybe have a pop up that says what line it is going to run from and a yes/no question on do you want to start the psindle
11:48 AM Lcvette: spindle
11:49 AM Lcvette: does that make sense?
11:52 AM roguish[m]: JT-Shop: hey, excuse the intrusion...... did you get your thread mill ordered yesterday?
11:52 AM roguish[m]: from onlinecarbide
11:54 AM TurBoss: Lcvette: yes sound fine
12:15 PM Not-5e4d: [02qtpyvcp] 07TurBoss pushed 031 commit to 03ContextMenu [+0/-0/±1] 13https://git.io/Je7DN

12:22 PM Lcvette: whats this?
12:22 PM Lcvette: lol
12:23 PM Lcvette: this is after aborting and going home then restarting the program
12:23 PM Lcvette: did this wierd move before going to the part
12:23 PM TurBoss: is chips 2X?
12:23 PM TurBoss: in what branch?
12:24 PM Lcvette: just regular chips
12:24 PM Lcvette: your latest
12:24 PM TurBoss: ☹️
12:25 PM TurBoss: ok
12:25 PM TurBoss: i think i figured
12:25 PM Lcvette: how i made it happen is running the program, then aborting, then hitting go to home then restarting the chips with cycle start
12:26 PM TurBoss: nop
12:26 PM TurBoss: not the same
12:29 PM Lcvette: now i can't repeat it either
12:29 PM Lcvette: :o
12:29 PM Lcvette: oh well
12:29 PM Lcvette: wierd
12:30 PM Not-5e4d: [02qtpyvcp] 07TurBoss pushed 031 commit to 03ContextMenu [+0/-0/±1] 13https://git.io/Je7yO

01:09 PM TurBoss: JT: enabled disabling run from here on menu
01:11 PM JT[m]: ok just tested signal
01:11 PM * JT[m] goes back to work
01:15 PM TurBoss: :)
01:47 PM TurBoss: roguish: just found this useful https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/stylesheet-reference.html
01:58 PM roguish[m]: TurBoss: thanks. i'm making progress.

03:44 PM TurBoss: how do you guys show the axis next to the dro ?
04:02 PM Lcvette: TURBOSS, WHATCHA MEAN?
04:02 PM TurBoss: the axis letter
04:03 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-12-17_16-56-23.png (17KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/NATZstmqfdPVsyiDpFSfKJKm >
04:03 PM Lcvette: inmy case i use buttons
04:03 PM Lcvette: but you can use a label if you just want the letter to appear
04:04 PM Lcvette: make the label either the same background color as the portion of screen it is on or make it transparen
04:04 PM Lcvette: t
04:05 PM Lcvette: you can put the dro's and labels in a frame or qwidget and format the qwidget for vertical layout
04:05 PM Lcvette: then make little qwidgets for each row
04:06 PM Lcvette: or you can use a grid layout
04:06 PM Lcvette: turboss does that help you?
04:07 PM TurBoss: yes
04:07 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-12-17_17-00-38.png (6KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/CBlMyBJSGGrMzQzUezhbmajw >
04:07 PM TurBoss: i was trying to display the letter with the dro itself
04:07 PM Lcvette: x and Y there are shown in a label with a border
04:07 PM Lcvette: inside the dro?
04:07 PM TurBoss: ill add something a label or button
04:07 PM TurBoss: thanks
04:07 PM TurBoss: yes tried
04:08 PM Lcvette: you could make it look that way if that is what you want
04:08 PM Lcvette: remember how i made the timer
04:08 PM Lcvette: it is 5 different boxes but i made it look like one box
04:08 PM roguish[m]: downloading a new version of Solidworks. 200Mbit/s
04:09 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-12-17_17-02-30.png (1KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/QPWRjWiVWLrGsmNQOHcCwTgA >
04:09 PM Lcvette: turboss ^^^
04:10 PM TurBoss: oh
04:11 PM Lcvette: you just have to format the label and the dro box to do the same thing
04:12 PM TurBoss: i tried but seems buged
04:12 PM TurBoss: for some reason the letter is removed or did not tried well
04:13 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-12-17_17-07-03.png (2KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/RNPcgpdoXJZpQnIHywxTnGok >
04:14 PM Lcvette: ios this what you want?
04:14 PM TurBoss: yup
04:14 PM Lcvette: thats a dro and a label
04:15 PM TurBoss: ohhhhh
04:15 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-12-17_17-08-57.png (1KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/VLfyJAAfSQHosmatZKBUCFAr >
04:16 PM Lcvette: i made the dro container have no left border or radius
04:16 PM Lcvette: then i make the label have no right border or radius
04:16 PM Lcvette: then put them both in a qwidget container so they fit together and it looks like one box
04:16 PM TurBoss: nice
04:17 PM * Lcvette sent a long message: < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/xkwRZKyKNhJIHMmgcHYJpTjP >
04:17 PM Lcvette: thats the style sheet for it
04:21 PM Lcvette: turboss^^^
04:21 PM TurBoss: i saw
04:21 PM TurBoss: thanks!
04:21 PM Lcvette: ok, go forth and make it

05:16 PM Lcvette: you did it?

05:17 PM Lcvette: added a place to specify the axis?
05:17 PM TurBoss: was there
05:17 PM TurBoss: but didn't work
05:17 PM TurBoss: oops double push
05:17 PM TurBoss: 🥳

05:30 PM TurBoss: Lcvette: have you tried?
05:45 PM JT[m]: interesting if you double click a line the next line is the one that gets ran
05:45 PM TurBoss: hmmmm
05:45 PM JT[m]: but if you single click the line you clicked runs
05:45 PM TurBoss: checking
05:46 PM TurBoss: it should do nothing
05:46 PM TurBoss: on dobleclick
05:47 PM JT[m]: double click seems to select the carriage return as well as the line
05:48 PM TurBoss: it runs the line where the cursor is
05:48 PM TurBoss: its a bug
05:48 PM TurBoss: :/
05:49 PM JT[m]: yea that would be very cornfusing to most folks
06:03 PM JT[m]: if you click in the blank space after all the g code in that line you get what you expected and the line highlights a bit and the correct line number is shown. If you click on the line number it's the same result as double clicking on the line.

06:22 PM TurBoss: JT: the gcode editor has a marker you can move to the line you want
06:22 PM TurBoss: is ok to change run from here to run from marker per example?
06:33 PM JT[m]: one thing I noticed about the line marker is you can have more that one... but using the line marker would be good if there is only one at a time
06:33 PM TurBoss: oh ok
06:33 PM TurBoss: nah i discarted that idea
06:33 PM TurBoss: is confusing
06:33 PM TurBoss: you should be not able to move the marker
06:33 PM TurBoss: i think
06:34 PM JT[m]: yea if it just indicates the current line you should not be able to add more or move it
