01:37 AM Not-5e4d: [02qtpyvcp] 07TurBoss commented on issue 03#26: Problem with vtk pachake by installation - 13https://git.io/Je6az
06:50 AM TurBoss: morning
06:59 AM hazzy-m: Lcvette: yes, I'm back home. Got really sick and been in bed since Sunday evening but gonna try to go into work today and then git back on dev
06:59 AM Lcvette: hope you feel better
07:13 AM TurBoss: hello!!
09:30 AM roguish[m]: hazzy: tooo bad. sound like airplane disease.....
09:31 AM roguish[m]: planes are filthy places. almost as bad as hospitals. maybe actually worse 'cause of the recirc air......
01:47 PM Tom_itx is now known as Tom_L
04:04 PM hazzy-m: roguish: yes, but unfortunately I think I was contributing to the filth since I started feeling a little under the weather sunday morning, probably brought on by dealing with union labor, lack of sleep might have contributed too
04:08 PM hazzy-m: BTW, early AM Monday morning (when I had a pretty good fever and a little delirious ) I got a call from one of the truck dispatchers saying a machine had fallen off one of the trucks and they had to get two recovery trucks to put it back on, that didn't help either
04:08 PM TurBoss: :O
04:09 PM hazzy-m: I went and inspected it today, and thankfully what they called a machine was just a backguage table, still heavy, but not the same magnitude of indecent lol
04:11 PM hazzy-m: think we will be able to repair most of it, and its for the same machine that got damaged at the show, so at least all the damage is isolated to one machine
04:12 PM hazzy-m: TurBoss: hey!
04:12 PM * hazzy-m needs to set up a new dev machine
04:12 PM TurBoss: cool
04:12 PM hazzy-m: old one got too slow lol
04:13 PM hazzy-m: did you make any progress on VTK?
04:13 PM hazzy-m: the notification improvements are great!
04:13 PM TurBoss: a visual glitch was fixed
04:13 PM TurBoss: and also that
04:13 PM hazzy-m: hurray!
04:14 PM TurBoss: so both methods can be used
04:14 PM TurBoss: i'm having issues drawing the rapids of moved offsets
04:14 PM hazzy-m: or neither for people like JT :)
04:15 PM TurBoss: the rapid betwen offsets
04:15 PM TurBoss: yes xD
04:15 PM hazzy-m: ah, I see, because the rapid needs to change with the offset
04:16 PM TurBoss: when reload the file is fixed
04:16 PM TurBoss: but is slow u know
04:17 PM TurBoss: i have some ideas...
04:25 PM TurBoss: good night
04:40 PM hazzy-m: gn8
04:52 PM jthornton: yea I just flashed the Tiny Whoop with the latest Betaflight
05:01 PM mozmck: anyone know anything about the new linuxcnc fork?
05:11 PM jthornton: didn't know someone had forked it
05:12 PM mozmck: https://forum.linuxcnc.org/show-your-stuff/37855-announcement-new-fork-opencn
05:12 PM mozmck: Looks interesting - limited jerk TP and etc.
05:13 PM hazzy-m: mozmck: no, looks very interesting
05:13 PM jthornton: interesting
05:13 PM mozmck: Yeah, it was done by folks here: https://heig-vd.ch/en
05:14 PM mozmck: I wonder if the TP can be ported back into LinuxCNC? Their system looks to only support EtherCAT
05:14 PM hazzy-m: wonder if any of that is related the the TP work Tormach is doing for their new router
05:15 PM mozmck: No idea, but the video here indicates they came up with their own algorithm: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUdvrO6lsX8
05:15 PM mozmck: paper on it here: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0010448518304305?via%3Dihub
05:22 PM hazzy-m: looks like they cleaned up the tree a LOT
05:23 PM hazzy-m: unless I haven't dug deep enough ...
05:29 PM jthornton: I'd like to convert our docs to RTD format
05:30 PM jthornton: but keep the PDF format for folks like Gene who prints them off
05:31 PM roguish[m]: hazzy: I just watched their youtubes. one one the TP. veryy high level math stuff.
05:33 PM hazzy-m: roguish: I need to find headphones. Are they in English?
05:33 PM mozmck: Yes, english. The math is not that bad if you've done any calculus.
05:34 PM hazzy-m: jthornton: the sphinx doc have the option for HTML, PDF, EPUB and many other formats, might be all we need ...
05:35 PM roguish[m]: mozmck: lol my calculus is 40 years old. kinda got cobwebs....
05:35 PM * hazzy-m has had lots of calculus but its getting rusty...
05:36 PM roguish[m]: jthornton: that RTD format is very nice.......
05:36 PM jthornton: I think I tried to make PDF before but failed for some reason
05:36 PM mozmck: What is RTD?
05:36 PM jthornton: Read The Docs
05:36 PM mozmck: Ah
05:37 PM jthornton: they would not need the buildbot to get built
05:37 PM roguish[m]: the general format this is in. Hazzy and JT have been using it. https://mecatronyx.gitlab.io/opencnc/doc/
05:38 PM roguish[m]: and this https://qtpyvcp.kcjengr.com/index.html
05:46 PM * hazzy-m posted a file: installation.pdf (52KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/lNpXDFypvlysgwaiMyZHWqQu >
05:48 PM hazzy-m: that is the QtHelp format, that's surprisingly reasonable
05:56 PM jthornton: looks reasonable except for the file location lol
05:57 PM jthornton: have you looked at fbs to make a python executable?
05:57 PM hazzy-m: lol
05:58 PM hazzy-m: yes, but I never succeeded in getting it to work with anything that has a lot of dependencies
05:58 PM jthornton: well that sucks
06:23 PM jthornton: just ordered a new fc for the tiny whoop so I can have OSD
