12:15 AM Lcvette: Alright alright alright! Got it mounted wired and the probe is charging
01:25 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: 😍
02:22 AM Lcvette: <Wandoo1980|Sebas "😍"> \o/
02:24 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: Unfortunately, my 3D Probe is wired
02:24 AM Lcvette: This is my first wireless probe
02:27 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: Looks great! i want work on my coolant system today 😁
02:34 AM Lcvette: Is it automatic?
02:35 AM Lcvette: That's a project on my list is to have self aiming coolant nozzles that adjust to the current too length offset and work piece top
02:46 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: That would be a great project too. Unfortunately, I can not use flood cooling on my machine. So I have to use a mist cooling. But the Fogbuster is not accurate enough for me. always you have to re-regulate the valve.
02:47 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: that's why i plan to use a peristaltic pump with a nema17 stepper to regulate the coolant flow
02:49 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: but all this is not built as a prototype. But I want to build it this weekend
08:16 AM Lcvette: nice!
08:16 AM Lcvette: update with pics!
08:55 AM Lcvette: Morning!
10:00 AM Lcvette: JT you made the ini generator, point and click?
10:04 AM hazzy-m: yo
10:04 AM * hazzy-m is back home!
10:06 AM hazzy-m: what spindle drive do you have? there has to be some way to get a power reading from it, if not directly then calculated from other data
10:08 AM hazzy-m: Wandoo1980 | Sebastian | End-CNC: Nice idea for the cooland pump! Will you still use a fog, or coolant stream?
10:26 AM JT[m]: Yo
10:27 AM JT[m]: Which ini generator
10:36 AM JT[m]: Roguish Yea I remember him
10:37 AM JT[m]: Can't post on emc from the phone
10:40 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: Some Pics for you from the 'Cold End' 😎
10:40 AM * Wandoo1980|Sebas uploaded an image: IMG_20191026_171109.jpg (3258KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/jauriarts.org/dvopaEHkDBwfPwVwGjggavQD >

10:41 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: That's the first prototype
10:47 AM hazzy-m: Wandoo1980 | Sebastian | End-CNC: Very cool!!
10:47 AM JT[m]: What is it
10:51 AM Tom_L: mist coolant
10:54 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: I forgot a mounting point πŸ˜… πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
10:55 AM hazzy-m: I thought you designed it for universal zip-tie mounting
10:55 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: πŸ˜‚ πŸ‘
10:55 AM JT[m]: LOL
10:56 AM hazzy-m: :D
10:57 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: The next one will have a mounting point 😁 I can now cool the new coolant system with the prototype coolant system πŸ€”πŸ€―
11:29 AM Lcvette: Universal ziptie mounting is awesome..lol
11:31 AM Lcvette: hazzy: i wish there was, I went through the manual, then co tacted the drive manufacturer and this model does no have a load output
11:32 AM hazzy-m: what outputs DOES it have?
11:32 AM hazzy-m: many drives don't have a direct power output, but have all the info to derive it
11:34 AM hazzy-m: even STMBL does not have a power pin, but it's easy to calculate power from the pins it does have
11:34 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: VectorImage_2019-10-26_122818.jpg (140KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/IIVzYWpgmKZrNWqYFWewQENU >
11:34 AM Wandoo1980|Sebas: @lcvette What kind of drive you have? Was it he CTB-Servo with the GH series amp?
11:36 AM * Lcvette posted a file: MK S Spindle Drive from Clint.pdf (1687KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/NkJvSXvZUDmcIINATqZUjXgG >
11:37 AM Lcvette: the manual
11:38 AM Lcvette: hazzy: ^^^
11:43 AM End-CNC: Damn, I was hoping to find something like modbus via RS485 or something similar
11:44 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: ApplicationFrameHost_FuoKH0jCjK.png (14KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/DlCXNIyhZWHYEfaNzrCBJcBe >
11:45 AM Lcvette: it has a din connector and i thought initially that connecting to that would offer some more input and output options but i was told that this drive does not offer that functionality
11:45 AM Lcvette: End-CNC: ^^^
11:45 AM Lcvette: and it isn't discussed in the manual
11:46 AM Lcvette: this servo is 6000rpm
11:46 AM End-CNC: yes, but there are no modbus addresses or something
11:46 AM Lcvette: i have been on the fence about getting a higher RPM spindle motor and drive so i may leave it be until i decide what i want to do there.
11:47 AM End-CNC: okay ^^
12:12 PM TurBoss: hello
12:14 PM End-CNC: hi TurBoss
12:14 PM roguish[m]: hola
12:15 PM TurBoss: O/
12:46 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: ☹️
12:46 PM hazzy-m: looks like RS485 is an option
12:46 PM hazzy-m: also "Product have telecommunication function, only need to connect with a SIM
12:46 PM hazzy-m: card module, available to operate the controller by handphone internet."
12:47 PM hazzy-m: so it can use a SIM card, but does not have a way to read the load lol
12:54 PM TurBoss: sup @hazzy
12:54 PM * TurBoss forgot its own birthday lol
01:31 PM Lcvette: happy birthday turboss!!
01:31 PM Lcvette: \o/
01:32 PM Lcvette: hazzy: i don't see any rs485 connection
01:32 PM Lcvette: what would make my mpg stop working?
01:32 PM Lcvette: im still seeing signals
01:32 PM Lcvette: hal has not changed
01:32 PM Lcvette: hat else could do it?
01:33 PM Lcvette: loosing my mind
01:40 PM Lcvette: Is there a way to put it in mpg mode
01:41 PM Lcvette: I feel like maybe it's something in the GUI
01:50 PM Tom_L: mdi mode cancels mpg i think
01:50 PM Tom_L: it does on mine
01:51 PM Tom_L: there are certain modes you don't want it to move
01:51 PM Tom_L: like 'program run'
01:52 PM roguish[m]: http://12.201.135.206/Race%20Deck/videojs.htmlOK, how about a pretty view....
02:15 PM TurBoss: thanks @lcvette:matrix.org
02:22 PM Lcvette: \o/
02:22 PM Lcvette: its a turboss celebration
02:22 PM Lcvette: hurray!
02:22 PM TurBoss: drinking beer
02:23 PM Lcvette: Tom_L: i switched between all the modes, i checked the halshow and can see the pins change and can see the counter move can see the enable change but no movement
02:23 PM Lcvette: im so frustrated right now its driving me nuts
02:23 PM Lcvette: i have restarted everything
02:23 PM Lcvette: gone through and rechecked wires
02:23 PM Lcvette: although if halshow is working the wiring is ok
02:24 PM Lcvette: im at a loss
02:36 PM Tom_L: what was it last time you could see signals and no movement?
02:36 PM Tom_L: and what changed inbetween?
05:38 PM * JT[m] uploaded an image: VectorImage_2019-10-26_053213.jpg (152KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/DkDYvMfvngbTsZozbEMWosRM >
05:45 PM Tom_L: major overhaul?
05:46 PM JT-Shop: clean up the rust on my 22 year old trailer and make a better way to get the wires from the back to the front
06:18 PM Tom_L: JT-Shop some reason i can't get autologin to work...
06:19 PM jthornton: in?
06:19 PM Tom_L: stretch
06:19 PM Tom_L: i edited the lightdm.conf file
06:20 PM Tom_L: double checked it was in the right section this time :)
06:20 PM jthornton: did you edit the comments and not the real section
06:20 PM Tom_L: ^^
06:20 PM jthornton: stretch is 9?
06:20 PM Tom_L: yes
06:21 PM Tom_L: unless the section after the comments is empty...
06:21 PM jthornton: did you uncomment autologin-user-timeout?
06:21 PM Tom_L: ysz
06:21 PM Tom_L: yes
06:21 PM jthornton: post the lightdm.conf to paste.ubuntu.com
06:21 PM Tom_L: k
06:21 PM Tom_L: i'm sure i did something stupid, it was late
06:22 PM jthornton: I understand that
06:24 PM Tom_dev: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/c2SsKbR92Q/
06:26 PM Tom_L: everything seems to be commented out
06:27 PM jthornton: that look correct to me
06:27 PM Tom_L: not working
06:28 PM Tom_L: anything else in your file uncommented?
06:28 PM jthornton: comparing now
06:29 PM jthornton: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/GFQh5JskfF/
06:29 PM jthornton: the two files are the same AFAICT
06:30 PM Tom_L: odd
06:30 PM jthornton: very
06:31 PM Tom_L: i pasted yours just to see
06:32 PM Tom_L: trying to connect tot he 7i80 next
06:32 PM Tom_L: it worked that time
06:32 PM Tom_L: somthing must be different!
06:34 PM jthornton: weird
06:34 PM Tom_L: very
07:16 PM Lcvette: Tom_L (@freenode_Tom_L:matrix.org): it was some lines that needed adding in the hal file, they are still there
07:17 PM Lcvette: Only thing I changed was added the probe
07:17 PM TurBoss: hello
07:17 PM Lcvette: But I've since removed the probe as I was not getting a signal to show in Hal show for it
07:18 PM Lcvette: Even with the mpg connected and not the probe no movement with it
07:18 PM Lcvette: I dunno what else to look at
07:18 PM Lcvette: TurBoss (@TurBoss:matrix.org): \o/
07:19 PM Lcvette: Birthday party?
07:19 PM TurBoss: :)
07:19 PM TurBoss: its over
07:19 PM TurBoss: got a new keyboard!
07:19 PM Lcvette: Hurray!
07:20 PM TurBoss: Lcvette: you having issues with the probe
07:20 PM Lcvette: Yes
07:20 PM Lcvette: Could not get linuxcnc to see it
07:20 PM Lcvette: Thinking it's a resistor issue
07:21 PM Lcvette: Maybe wrong size
07:21 PM TurBoss: can I see?
07:21 PM TurBoss: now I'm curious
07:21 PM Lcvette: See what?
07:21 PM TurBoss: is the paper you posted before?
07:21 PM Lcvette: Yes
07:22 PM Lcvette: And it made my Axis's act funny when connected
07:25 PM TurBoss: in halshow it doesn't show it ?
07:25 PM Lcvette: No
07:25 PM TurBoss: whats the starte of the pin
07:26 PM Lcvette: Starte?
07:26 PM TurBoss: state
07:26 PM TurBoss: :)
07:26 PM Lcvette: Duh
07:26 PM Lcvette: Off
07:26 PM Lcvette: On
07:26 PM Lcvette: Can't remember
07:26 PM TurBoss: but doesn't change?
07:26 PM Lcvette: No change
07:27 PM TurBoss: what kind of input is the TB7
07:27 PM Lcvette: I tried changing the hal from -not to normal and it just changed the expected start but no change when triggered
07:28 PM Lcvette: I have connected to tb7 pin 15
07:28 PM TurBoss: maybe the pullup voltage is to high
07:28 PM Lcvette: Yeah
07:28 PM Lcvette: It's using a bad collage of 5v
07:28 PM Lcvette: Base voltage
07:29 PM Lcvette: And a 5100ohm resistor
07:29 PM Lcvette: Tom_l said doesn't matter which direction I mounted the resistor
07:30 PM TurBoss: wich kind of input is that?
07:30 PM TurBoss: on TB7
07:30 PM Lcvette: Input
07:30 PM Lcvette: Field
07:31 PM Lcvette: Works with other probe perfect
07:32 PM Lcvette: Well actually I have not tested to see if it still does
07:32 PM Lcvette: Probably should check
07:32 PM TurBoss: what voltage do you have in pin 15?
07:32 PM TurBoss: 19v?
07:32 PM Lcvette: Can't check
07:33 PM Lcvette: Need two people
07:33 PM Lcvette: Lol
07:33 PM TurBoss: ok
07:33 PM Lcvette: That's when I discovered the mpg want working
07:33 PM Lcvette: I was going to move the probe to hold a trigger position so I can check and the mpg wouldn't move the axis
07:33 PM TurBoss: what I can see is the transisrtor output from the probe
07:34 PM TurBoss: maybe it only goes to 0-5v
07:34 PM Lcvette: Yes it can only go to 5v
07:35 PM TurBoss: can you change the voltage from 24 to 5 v?
07:35 PM Lcvette: From the receiver because only 5v goes in
07:35 PM Lcvette: Where?
07:36 PM * TurBoss uploaded an image: image.png (192KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/JNRJoAnBSXDOyJqEBXueaedT >
07:37 PM * TurBoss uploaded an image: image.png (1128KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/SOkmbAQktLyLfMjaIUpZUOIa >
07:39 PM Lcvette: That would only be able to pull it up to 10v no?
07:39 PM Lcvette: 7i77 uses sourcing 24v inputs
07:39 PM TurBoss: then you need another transistor + resistor
07:40 PM TurBoss: give me a sek I'll draw
07:40 PM Lcvette: K
07:47 PM * TurBoss uploaded an image: image.png (24KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/iObxLoglZHIwoCcGxsgXvYVP >
07:47 PM TurBoss: or use a relay
07:48 PM TurBoss: is just a draft
07:48 PM TurBoss: toogle a relay with 5v
07:49 PM TurBoss: that triggers the pin 15
07:49 PM Lcvette: Whoa
07:50 PM Lcvette: Relay would make it to slow
07:50 PM TurBoss: yes...
07:50 PM TurBoss: but I don't know if this schematic is valid
07:50 PM TurBoss: duno the correct values
07:51 PM TurBoss: does the other probes you tried have a transistor output?
07:51 PM Lcvette: Transistor to keep voltage from back traveling?
07:51 PM TurBoss: es
07:51 PM TurBoss: yes!
07:52 PM Lcvette: No, but it's just a mechanical probe, 2 wire, 24v+ to probe and loops back to tb7 pin 15
07:53 PM TurBoss: this one is transitor drived
07:53 PM TurBoss: and maybe you fried it.. not sure xD
07:54 PM TurBoss: if you applied 24 v to the output
07:54 PM TurBoss: ah but you are not sharing ground yet
07:54 PM TurBoss: maybe you saved it
07:58 PM Lcvette: Ok, so I need transistors
07:59 PM TurBoss: you first need to take the probe and measure
07:59 PM Lcvette: The receiver still shows is working
07:59 PM Lcvette: Yes
07:59 PM Lcvette: I need to solve the mysterious mpg not working issue
08:00 PM TurBoss: you need one of this
08:00 PM Lcvette: I wonder if I tried something on the 7i77
08:00 PM Lcvette: Fried

08:05 PM TurBoss: life saver
08:05 PM TurBoss: I can play tetris on it lol

08:07 PM TurBoss: is this correct?

08:07 PM hazzy-m: try jogging with a keyboard, and then the MPG
08:07 PM Lcvette: Have not tried the keyboard
08:07 PM hazzy-m: TurBoss: is the probe NC?
08:08 PM TurBoss: probe is blue part

08:08 PM Lcvette: I'm powering the card from daughter
08:08 PM Lcvette: Or fpga sorry
08:09 PM hazzy-m: I think Q_PNP_BCE is backwards
08:09 PM TurBoss: ok
08:10 PM hazzy-m: TurBoss: what are you tyring to do?
08:10 PM hazzy-m: step up the signal from 5v to 24v?
08:10 PM TurBoss: I'm trying to get 24/0v from the probe 5/0v
08:10 PM TurBoss: since Lcvette probe is transistor driven
08:11 PM hazzy-m: hmm, then I think that is all wrong :D
08:11 PM hazzy-m: sek
08:11 PM TurBoss: cool!
08:11 PM TurBoss: thanks!
08:12 PM TurBoss: hazzy is the profesional here
08:12 PM TurBoss: notice the yellow part from the schematic , looks like is part of the probe
08:12 PM Lcvette: keybopard jogging does not work either
08:13 PM Lcvette: :o
08:13 PM TurBoss: jog broken?
08:13 PM Lcvette: dunno?
08:13 PM Lcvette: but will nmot jog using arrow keys
08:14 PM Lcvette: does jog with gui buttons
08:14 PM Lcvette: hazzy: ^^^
08:14 PM TurBoss: arrow keys only work if you click on the area from the custom buttons
08:15 PM TurBoss: I can't access dev now
08:15 PM TurBoss: but if you click in the gray area that holds the g5x buttons , jog or plot
08:15 PM Lcvette: ok i did that and now arrow keys work
08:16 PM Lcvette: but mpg still does not work
08:16 PM TurBoss: can you remove the probe electromnics?
08:16 PM Lcvette: already have
08:16 PM Lcvette: they are not connected currently
08:17 PM TurBoss: ok
08:17 PM Lcvette: there is a flahsing light on the 7i77, green light
08:17 PM Lcvette: is that normal?
08:17 PM Lcvette: i don't remember if it used to flash before
08:18 PM * hazzy-m uploaded an image: ima_53524e1.jpeg (117KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/qWWWGrxnuIAQLGeWezRMNxnQ >
08:19 PM hazzy-m: TurBoss: I think that is all he needs
08:19 PM TurBoss: thanks!
08:19 PM TurBoss: Lcvette^^
08:19 PM hazzy-m: it will invert the logic, so if the probe is NC the input out put from the transister will be NO, but that should be fine
08:19 PM TurBoss: sup hazzy ?
08:20 PM * hazzy-m is still sick :(
08:20 PM TurBoss: what sick means
08:20 PM hazzy-m: gtg, bbl
08:20 PM TurBoss: bye
08:20 PM TurBoss: tired?
08:21 PM TurBoss: Lcvette: thats the correct schematic the probe tag is the white wire
08:22 PM Lcvette: looking
08:22 PM Lcvette: we want a normall closed probe input
08:22 PM Lcvette: for safety
08:26 PM Lcvette: TurBoss: ok, i just noticed that the dro's move with the mpg but the machine doesn't move
08:26 PM Lcvette: 7i77 fried?
08:27 PM TurBoss: where is the mpg wired?
08:27 PM TurBoss: to it?
08:27 PM Lcvette: https://youtu.be/16UtntyBhgU
08:27 PM Lcvette: Yes
08:27 PM Lcvette: Bit it is registering in the dros
08:28 PM Lcvette: so 7i77 must be reading it right?
08:28 PM Lcvette: but not sending it to the drives?
08:29 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: does the machine move with MDI or auto?
08:30 PM Lcvette: yes
08:31 PM hazzy-m: then pretty sure you didnt mess any think up on the 7i77
08:31 PM Lcvette: hmm the dro's move but all of the axis scale settings are remaining on x1
08:31 PM Lcvette: .0001"
08:32 PM Lcvette: meaning i can change the mpg to x10 or x100 but the dro's only move .0001" per click and the machine is not moving
08:33 PM TurBoss: or movement is not noticeable
08:34 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: I think the machine IS moving, but just .0001" per tick :D
08:34 PM Lcvette: it is not moving
08:35 PM * TurBoss uploaded an image: image.png (116KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/ivNqbPqZuroYzOPHoeEkDCPw >
08:35 PM Lcvette: i turned it all the way to where it would be home and it hasn't moved from middle position
08:35 PM TurBoss: blink looks normal
08:35 PM hazzy-m: the DROs moved to the home pos value?
08:35 PM Lcvette: ok good
08:37 PM Lcvette: hazzy: you are coirrect
08:37 PM Lcvette: it is moving just very very slowly
08:37 PM Lcvette: lol
08:37 PM Lcvette: so the scale is broken some how
08:37 PM Lcvette: maybe becasuse for the first time i changed it on the screen?
08:38 PM Lcvette: maybe the incremennt thing is broken?
08:38 PM TurBoss: fried?
08:39 PM * Lcvette sent a long message: < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/nfqJpKJfZWhpOXMZNqzEEWgW >
08:39 PM Lcvette: thats the hal file for the mpg
08:39 PM Lcvette: used to work now axis select and wheel works but the scale does nto work
08:41 PM TurBoss: does the scale use the diode?
08:41 PM Lcvette: what diode?
08:42 PM TurBoss: the one hazzy does to mux
08:42 PM TurBoss: if i remember you omited that
08:43 PM Lcvette: no its direct to pin for each scale
08:43 PM Lcvette: no underlying code just straight wired
08:43 PM TurBoss: if no diode no broken diode
08:43 PM Lcvette: every scasle setting has its own wire run to a pin
08:43 PM TurBoss: ok
08:44 PM TurBoss: mechanically broke?
08:44 PM TurBoss: try it with a multimeter
08:44 PM TurBoss: the selector I meas
08:44 PM TurBoss: * the selector I mean
08:45 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: I'm still not clear on this, are the DROs actualy counting when you move the MPG, but the machine does not move at all? If so hat's not a problem with just the MPG...
08:45 PM Lcvette: hazzy: you were correct
08:45 PM Lcvette: the machine is moving
08:45 PM Lcvette: but its stuck in default x1
08:45 PM hazzy-m: ok, sweet!
08:45 PM Lcvette: .0001" per pulse
08:45 PM hazzy-m: so just the scale selector is broken!
08:46 PM Lcvette: apparantly
08:46 PM hazzy-m: yeah, check with a milti meter
08:46 PM hazzy-m: probably something very simple like a loose or broken wire
08:47 PM hazzy-m: could even be in the MPG its self
08:47 PM hazzy-m: is this the wireless MPG?
08:48 PM Lcvette: just verified that the selector is working
08:49 PM Lcvette: it cfhanges the pins from .2mv to 24.6v when the pin is selected
08:49 PM hazzy-m: good
08:49 PM Lcvette: so all connections are correct and working
08:49 PM Lcvette: so its in the software i guess?
08:49 PM hazzy-m: can you look at the input pins in halshow?
08:49 PM Lcvette: yes
08:49 PM Lcvette: they do not move
08:50 PM hazzy-m: strange ...
08:50 PM hazzy-m: did you change anything when trying to add your new probe?
08:52 PM Lcvette: no the mpg has its own halfile
08:53 PM Lcvette: was nnever opened
08:53 PM Lcvette: im losing my mind
08:53 PM Lcvette: but i am glad at least that it moves so i suppose it means its not fried
08:53 PM TurBoss: maybe the connector is not plugged correctly?
08:54 PM hazzy-m: Change any other Hal files?
08:55 PM Lcvette: i did try and change the main hal file
08:55 PM Lcvette: but only one line and have since undone the change while troubleshooting
08:59 PM Lcvette: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/PMdFc4Rxjs/
08:59 PM Lcvette: thatsb the current hal file in use
08:59 PM Lcvette: https://paste.ubuntu.com/p/f2w4W3Wh5q/
08:59 PM Lcvette: thats the mpg file
09:00 PM Lcvette: dop you see anything that jumps out wrong?
09:11 PM TurBoss: Lcvette: can you change jog scale from gui?
09:14 PM Lcvette: does not effect mpg
09:14 PM Lcvette: tried that already
09:15 PM TurBoss: in the mpg.hal file i notied you use 2 wires for scale and 4 for select
09:15 PM * TurBoss sent a long message: < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/xnAgRnXGIolXhhflBkjXjuWE >
09:16 PM Lcvette: yes
09:16 PM TurBoss: scale uses 2 pins 26 and 27
09:16 PM Lcvette: yes
09:17 PM Lcvette: but those are not working
09:17 PM Lcvette: its only moviong in default x1 .0001
09:18 PM TurBoss: can you see mux4.0.out in halshow?ΒΏ
09:18 PM Lcvette: dunno let em check

09:20 PM TurBoss: mux4.0.sel0 /1 doesnt blink?

09:24 PM Lcvette: ok will try
09:24 PM TurBoss: if not try to check hm2_7i92.0.7i77.0.0.input-26 ans 27 in halshow
09:26 PM Lcvette: NO CHANGE
09:26 PM TurBoss: so revert
09:28 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-10-26_22-22-33.png (45KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/r0/download/matrix.org/kyzMZpCSgrxazbGNmpgNVtba >
09:29 PM Lcvette: no change
09:29 PM TurBoss: do the blink? no?
09:29 PM TurBoss: ☹️
09:29 PM Lcvette: but changes at the 7i77 phsically
09:29 PM Lcvette: no
09:30 PM TurBoss: no idea
09:30 PM Lcvette: Me either
09:30 PM TurBoss: if halshow doesnt show changes looks bad
09:30 PM TurBoss: can you do a powerdown
09:30 PM Lcvette: I just compared Hal files from a different location and they were the same
09:30 PM Lcvette: Nothing changed
09:31 PM TurBoss: and electricall discharge all
09:31 PM Lcvette: So maybe it's a broken 7i77
09:31 PM Lcvette: I've done numerous full shit downs
09:31 PM TurBoss: no replacement?
09:32 PM Lcvette: Not on hand
09:32 PM TurBoss: ok
09:32 PM Lcvette: Just not sure why only those 2 pins aren't working
09:32 PM Lcvette: Pcw_home help!
09:32 PM TurBoss: in halshow scale pins blink?
09:32 PM Lcvette: No
09:33 PM Lcvette: They stay red
09:33 PM Lcvette: Axis selector pins blink
09:33 PM TurBoss: yeah thoose I mean
09:34 PM Lcvette: Wheel count shows counts and works bit only in .0001 x1 mode which is default
09:34 PM Lcvette: Any way it's in the GUI?
09:35 PM TurBoss: do you have crc contac cleaner?
09:36 PM Lcvette: No
09:41 PM TurBoss: there is also halscope
09:41 PM Lcvette: What's that show?
09:41 PM TurBoss: same as hal show
09:41 PM TurBoss: but in a plot
09:42 PM Lcvette: I should try it?
09:42 PM Lcvette: Or if same thing doesn't matter?
09:43 PM TurBoss: try
09:44 PM Lcvette: Ok, give me 5 minutes
09:44 PM TurBoss: ok
09:44 PM * Lcvette needs a smoke break
09:45 PM Lcvette: Lol
09:48 PM Lcvette: ok, testing now
09:53 PM Lcvette: TurBoss: no clue how to set it up
09:53 PM Lcvette: i chose the channels for th pins but not sure what to do then
09:53 PM TurBoss: cant remember now and not on dev
09:53 PM TurBoss: send a pic
09:54 PM Lcvette: it looks like its just going to show the lines move
09:54 PM Lcvette: but i set it up for scale and all the things like mux4 sel0 and sel1 and nothing, just flat lines
09:54 PM Lcvette: i think halshow is easier
09:59 PM Lcvette: i can make it show the axis selector and the handwheel and jog enable
09:59 PM Lcvette: they show but scale selector is dead
10:01 PM Lcvette: TurBoss: ^^^
10:01 PM TurBoss: ok
10:01 PM TurBoss: fried?
10:02 PM Lcvette: only thing i can think is that those two pins are fried
10:02 PM Lcvette: i will maybe try some other input pins to see if it works again
10:03 PM TurBoss: wich connector is itΒΏ
10:03 PM TurBoss: field?
10:03 PM Lcvette: U3s
10:03 PM Lcvette: Yes
10:03 PM Lcvette: Tb7 pins 26 and 27
10:04 PM TurBoss: they are robust
10:04 PM Lcvette: Can I try rwflashing the 7i77?
10:05 PM TurBoss: maybe a cosmic ray changed a bit in rom memory
10:05 PM TurBoss: are you under the atmosfereΒΏ
10:05 PM TurBoss: :P
10:06 PM TurBoss: sorry just a joke
