05:25 AM jthornton: morning
05:50 AM TurBoss: morning JT
05:53 AM TurBoss: I'm testing the new cpu, sent' the old to RMA because of a design bug, they sent money back so I bought a stronger one
05:53 AM jthornton: what kind of cpu?
05:53 AM TurBoss: 12 cores 4.2Ghz
05:54 AM TurBoss: amd ryzen 2700X
05:54 AM jthornton: wow
05:54 AM TurBoss: old was 8 core 3.8ghz
05:54 AM TurBoss: yea its fast
05:54 AM TurBoss: compiled linuxcnc in a minute or 2
05:54 AM TurBoss: with 12 threads
05:54 AM TurBoss: LOL!
05:57 AM jthornton: damn that is fast
05:57 AM TurBoss: now I'm trying to install archlinux from windows on the m2 pcie ssd using virtualbox
05:58 AM TurBoss: xD
05:58 AM TurBoss: while compiles boost
06:01 AM jthornton: I need a faster pc for my windblows machine that had solidworks on it
06:04 AM jthornton: wow they make a 32 core ryzen
06:04 AM TurBoss: yeah
06:04 AM TurBoss: and not much expensiv
06:04 AM TurBoss: * and not much expensive
06:05 AM jthornton: newegg $1,787.23
06:05 AM TurBoss: well not that one lol
06:06 AM TurBoss: virtualize a windows do gpu passtrught some motherboard support it
06:06 AM TurBoss: but you need 2 gpus
06:06 AM TurBoss: you can run a vm on a real hdd
06:07 AM TurBoss: and boot from there if needed
06:09 AM TurBoss: test
08:40 AM Lcvette: jthornton: for solidworks additional cores aren't very helpful better to have the fastest 4 core your money will buy
08:41 AM Lcvette: i have a I7 4770 and it flies
08:42 AM hazzy-m: Yep, solidworks is single threaded for the most part
08:42 AM Lcvette: o/
08:43 AM Lcvette: with solidworks you are better served putting money in the graphics card i think
08:45 AM Lcvette: hazzy does the notification widget give notifications currently?
08:46 AM Lcvette: if so could you push the update with the widget on the status page?
08:46 AM Lcvette: I would like to have that error reporting while going through everything today if possible
08:46 AM Lcvette: push as in release version
08:50 AM Lcvette: Pip update
08:53 AM hazzy-m: yes
08:53 AM Lcvette: \o/
08:53 AM hazzy-m: do the notifications work?
08:53 AM hazzy-m: I can't remember lol
08:53 AM Lcvette: Turboss showed an image with errors reported,
08:54 AM Lcvette: Not sure of that means it works or not though
08:54 AM Lcvette: He said all he did was drag the notifications widget over
08:54 AM Lcvette: Which is all I did too
08:54 AM Lcvette: So I'm guessing yes?
08:54 AM Lcvette: Bit uncertain beyond that
08:57 AM hazzy-m: the norifications work, but the button doesn't
08:57 AM Lcvette: That's fine for now
08:57 AM Lcvette: For my testing if I have an issue I will know to check it at least
08:58 AM Lcvette: And have some idea of the issue at least that way
09:04 AM TurBoss: hello
09:05 AM Lcvette: O/
09:05 AM Lcvette: Yo is back!
09:05 AM TurBoss: yo!
09:38 AM Lcvette: whatcha know turboss the 12core
09:38 AM Lcvette: xD
09:42 AM Lcvette: hazzy: one thing i noticed is my machine reference button isn't working
09:42 AM Lcvette: it is starting up saying the machine is referenced instead of reference all
09:43 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_10-37-34.png (30KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/MJKbrChdFhxQEYSwbHVxXDrc >
09:43 AM Lcvette: it seems to work fine in the sim
09:43 AM Lcvette: but not in the real world
09:44 AM hazzy-m: does not work in the sim either
09:44 AM hazzy-m: hmm
09:45 AM Lcvette: works in my sim
09:46 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_10-40-17.png (35KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/PWzdHzliNOfyrSbVnIwQadBB >

09:47 AM Lcvette: hmm, does something in the hal need to be done to do the same as the simulated home file?
09:48 AM Lcvette: i can always juyst scrap it
09:48 AM Lcvette: just go back to reference all
09:48 AM Lcvette: let the dro number colors indicate reference
09:48 AM Lcvette: ?
09:49 AM Lcvette: may have been one of those things where i had some tme on my hands and was tinkering
09:49 AM Lcvette: lol
10:14 AM Lcvette: hazzy: was just wondering if the status tab would be easier to make change colors in the eevent of the notification and then just put a reset button in the notification box
10:14 AM Lcvette: ?
10:21 AM Lcvette: turboss is here?
10:22 AM TurBoss: no
10:22 AM Lcvette: ok
10:26 AM hazzy-m: Unfortunately it’s very hard to make a single tab widget tab change colors
10:27 AM Lcvette: ok
10:27 AM hazzy-m: I have a branch where I tried to add rules for individual tabs
10:27 AM Lcvette: no worries
10:27 AM Lcvette: was just thinking aloud
10:27 AM hazzy-m: Yeah, that would be the nicest solution
10:29 AM Lcvette: is there an easy fix to change the font and size of the notification widgets title?
10:29 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_11-24-02.png (2KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/KInRdWRlwgkLVBmlYLRJCJDr >
10:30 AM Lcvette: or eliminate it and i can add a label in the gui?
10:30 AM Lcvette: this is very hard to see
10:36 AM Tom_L: subliminal message
10:36 AM Lcvette: im able to change the qlabel font family in the qss, but if i change the color there, it will affect the entire gui turning some text that needs to be black white
10:36 AM Lcvette: Tom_L: for serious
10:36 AM Lcvette: lol
10:36 AM Tom_L: i've got one on a commercial package that's worse than that
10:37 AM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/cnc/Smartcam/macro_screen.jpg
10:38 AM Tom_L: no way to change it either without messin up everything else
10:38 AM Tom_L: i'm feelin yer pain
10:39 AM Lcvette: there is a way, im just having trouble sorting it out
10:39 AM Lcvette: there is always a way i seem to find
10:40 AM Lcvette: maybe not elegant, but i can sometimes bluster through and make something jankety work that bothers hazzy or turboss enough they are compelled to fix it
10:43 AM Lcvette: \o/
10:44 AM Tom_L: makes em happy and keeps em on their toes
10:45 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_11-39-31.png (144KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/zrUqEybZCPaJloGBZMuaWTbO >
10:45 AM Lcvette: fixed
10:45 AM Lcvette: turboss i did it!
10:46 AM hazzy-m: sweet!!
10:46 AM Tom_L: depened which container you changed it in?
10:47 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_11-41-20.png (42KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/lSGCIqNxPwDklZjeOdRsuWiv >
10:47 AM Tom_L: just for that one label
10:47 AM Lcvette: after fiddling with it i just tried doing the QLabel inside the QWidget stylesheet
10:48 AM Lcvette: i dunno if it will affect the notifications window though
10:48 AM hazzy-m: it might lol
10:48 AM Lcvette: i did it for QLaebl
10:48 AM Lcvette: :(
10:48 AM hazzy-m: only why to know is to try it :)
10:48 AM Lcvette: how do i make it error?
10:49 AM hazzy-m: home and run the splach program
10:50 AM hazzy-m: or enter a message in the MDI
10:50 AM hazzy-m: (MSG, this should cause an info message)
10:50 AM Lcvette: \o/
10:51 AM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_11-45-31.png (16KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/jszNCHTdbjHCridyWDlmyILk >
10:51 AM Lcvette: \o/
10:52 AM Lcvette: success!
10:59 AM Lcvette: Tom_L: works now!
10:59 AM Lcvette: only changed the title text so should be good to go!
10:59 AM Lcvette: hazzy pushed the changes!
11:00 AM hazzy-m: Sweet!
11:00 AM hazzy-m: ready for a new release?
11:00 AM Lcvette: do you have any thoughts on that machine reference button issue?
11:00 AM Lcvette: not working on the machine but working on the devel
11:00 AM hazzy-m: I'm not sure why it is not working
11:01 AM hazzy-m: for some reason that data channel says everything is homed when it it it not
11:01 AM Lcvette: ok im just going to change it back to reference all and remove the button code to change it
11:01 AM Lcvette: hmmm... is it an important ch that needs to know when things are not homed?
11:02 AM Lcvette: to prevent crashes?
11:02 AM hazzy-m: no, won't prevent crashes
11:02 AM hazzy-m: its just for display, the actual checking is done in LCNC
11:02 AM Lcvette: soft limits are based on homed machines
11:02 AM Lcvette: ok
11:02 AM Lcvette: good
11:03 AM Lcvette: ok i will just nuke the fancy button
11:03 AM Lcvette: let me change it real quick
11:03 AM hazzy-m: wait
11:03 AM Lcvette: yeah
11:03 AM Lcvette: ?
11:03 AM Lcvette: have a thought on it?
11:06 AM hazzy-m: do you have [TRAJ] NO_FORCE_HOMING set in your INI?
11:07 AM Lcvette: umm.. let me check
11:08 AM hazzy-m: that could very well be causing the problem
11:08 AM * Lcvette sent a long message: < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/wgzXzbscyfCWAFxpJZjBPEeW >
11:08 AM Lcvette: set to 1
11:08 AM Lcvette: hazzy ^^^
11:08 AM hazzy-m: yep
11:08 AM Lcvette: correct or no?
11:08 AM hazzy-m: delete that or set to 0
11:08 AM Lcvette: k
11:09 AM hazzy-m: not good on a machine like yours
11:09 AM hazzy-m: will let you run a probeam with out homing
11:09 AM hazzy-m: which could very well cause a crash
11:09 AM hazzy-m: you button should work rught after that
11:11 AM Lcvette: works \o/

11:21 AM Lcvette: hazzy
11:21 AM Lcvette: ?
11:21 AM Lcvette: :o
11:39 AM Lcvette: upgraded!
11:39 AM Lcvette: whoo hoo
12:23 PM TurBoss: whats new?
12:59 PM hazzy-m: TurBoss: only ProbeBasic things
12:59 PM TurBoss: cool
12:59 PM hazzy-m: really need to seperate PB so it can have its on releases
12:59 PM TurBoss: yup the repo is up
01:00 PM hazzy-m: I saw!
01:00 PM * TurBoss uploaded an image: image.png (952KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/dKcKMbbGnhKwsMIwIejpbzxb >
01:00 PM TurBoss: a warhammer footprint
01:00 PM TurBoss: xD
01:00 PM hazzy-m: nice!
01:01 PM TurBoss: ty
01:01 PM TurBoss: drawn by a friend
01:01 PM hazzy-m: did you mill a mold and then cast it?
01:01 PM TurBoss: not yet
01:01 PM TurBoss: just mill
01:02 PM TurBoss: 50 x 120 mm
01:02 PM hazzy-m: ah, so that is the milled mold patern
01:02 PM TurBoss: just the part
01:02 PM TurBoss: mold is for the future
01:03 PM TurBoss: but can be the master for molds
01:15 PM Lcvette: the pattern
02:00 PM Lcvette: hazzy tturboss Tom_L this is pretty impressive... just ran the probe calibration operation where it defines the probe tip based on a calibration object, a feature built into probe basic... hte results are impressive for this machine!!
02:00 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_14-53-03.png (116KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/anXnypRRcNIrSaDPvMPFLbyp >
02:00 PM Lcvette: if you look at the x and y width in the probe results window
02:01 PM Lcvette: they are spot on in both axis
02:01 PM Lcvette: 0.9934
02:01 PM hazzy-m: Hurray!
02:01 PM Lcvette: if you look at the probe calibration o0ffset\
02:01 PM hazzy-m: Just need a little calibration
02:01 PM Lcvette: 0.003292
02:01 PM Lcvette: it measured the 1.0000" gauge pin to0.999984
02:02 PM Lcvette: that was the calibration
02:02 PM Lcvette: it does it autimatically
02:02 PM Lcvette: now its calibrated
02:02 PM hazzy-m: Oh awesome!
02:03 PM Lcvette: it automatically comes up with the probe ball offset based on the gauge pin diameter and what it probes
02:03 PM Lcvette: doing a video now will post in a few
02:06 PM Lcvette: back in a few with video
02:19 PM Lcvette: https://youtu.be/r31z6VCv7P8
02:19 PM Lcvette: Hazzy turboss Tom_L ∆∆∆
02:22 PM hazzy-m: SAWEET!
02:22 PM hazzy-m: that thing moves pretty good :O
02:23 PM Lcvette: Yeah, I repeated the run and both measured exactly the same on both axis both times to the tenth
02:31 PM Lcvette: \o/
02:51 PM TurBoss: hurray!!!
02:52 PM Lcvette: \o/
02:59 PM Lcvette: Hazzy or turboss, I need your help. The probe parameter boxes do not hold the user entered data once shut down
02:59 PM Lcvette: Almost crashed the probe because the offset did not store
03:00 PM TurBoss: yo away yoy eat
03:13 PM jthornton: Lcvette, thanks
03:22 PM Lcvette: jthornton: probe is bang on
03:22 PM Lcvette: Well under half a tenth
03:23 PM Lcvette: That's bang on enough for anything I do
03:23 PM Lcvette: Lol
03:30 PM jthornton: which probe do you have?
03:39 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: Screenshot_2019-09-21_16-32-29.png (320KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/szNSnLKOEjGkAPbjcosEGyGF >
03:40 PM Lcvette: jthornton: https://drewtronics.org/s5000led
03:41 PM Lcvette: they used to have a non led one that was 30 bucks less, think i paid $129.99 for mine if memory serves
03:42 PM jthornton: I think that is the one I have the non led... have to wander out to the machine shop and look at it again
03:43 PM Lcvette: Did you buy one when I first told you about them?
03:44 PM Lcvette: If so good for you
03:44 PM Lcvette: Saved a few bucks
03:44 PM Lcvette: \o/
03:44 PM Lcvette: Hurray!
03:45 PM JT-Shop: no, mine is a different one something about a horse
03:48 PM Lcvette: Ah wildhorse
03:48 PM Lcvette: Those are also good
03:48 PM Lcvette: I use them on my other machine
03:48 PM Lcvette: They have excellent results as well
04:27 PM JT-Shop: not centered up well...
04:29 PM JT-Shop: just looking and I have an i5-7600K cpu @ 3.8Ghz
04:34 PM Lcvette: JT-Shop: there are adjustments on the bottom
04:34 PM Lcvette: You have to mechanically calibrate the probe before use
04:35 PM JT-Shop: lol I had to take it apart and put it back together first nothing was even
04:35 PM Lcvette: Put it in the spindle/holder with an tenths lever arm indicator
04:35 PM Lcvette: Rotate it and use the three adjustment screws to center the ball
04:35 PM Lcvette: Ah
04:37 PM JT-Shop: like it was put together in a hurry, it was so far out you could not center the probe lol
04:38 PM JT-Shop: need to change a few things on my game camera, got good video of the mail man but none of the mail bandit or anyone else getting mail
05:16 PM Lcvette: ah, mine is older, maybe his quality went south
05:17 PM Lcvette: shame because the one i have has been great for a decade almost now
05:17 PM roguish[m]: Lcvette: hey, how's it coming along?
05:18 PM Lcvette: great!
05:18 PM Lcvette: im trying to find a chink in my calibration routine, it keeps outputting negative offset numbers but they need to be positive
05:24 PM roguish[m]: did you get the Jog Wheel (MPG) going?
05:24 PM Lcvette: yup
05:24 PM Lcvette: everything is up and running now
05:24 PM roguish[m]: way cool.
05:24 PM Lcvette: but im going through the probe stuff
05:24 PM roguish[m]: congrats
05:24 PM Lcvette: thanks, im super pumped!
05:25 PM Lcvette: did you see the probe routine?
05:25 PM Lcvette: in axction?
05:25 PM roguish[m]: don't do a me and bust probe stylii
05:26 PM Lcvette: https://youtu.be/r31z6VCv7P8
05:27 PM Lcvette: roguish: ^^^
05:27 PM Lcvette: thing gets going alright
05:32 PM jthornton: is that in a hospital?
05:32 PM Lcvette: ?
05:33 PM Lcvette: I keeps my junk clean yo
05:33 PM Lcvette: lol
05:33 PM jthornton: lool
05:34 PM jthornton: watch with CC on lol
05:35 PM Lcvette: what.. erybody love phase two burgers
05:35 PM Lcvette: hahahaha
05:35 PM jthornton: lol
05:35 PM jthornton: and pans
05:36 PM jthornton: looks sweet!
05:36 PM Lcvette: thanks
05:36 PM Lcvette: \o/
05:36 PM Lcvette: hurray!
05:39 PM roguish[m]: nice video. you should be in the movies
05:40 PM Lcvette: who?
05:40 PM Lcvette: me
05:41 PM Lcvette: lol
05:41 PM Lcvette: not unless ya wanna watch box office flops
05:41 PM jthornton: hmm here goes a 3 hour print I hope the hot end fan does not quit
05:42 PM Tom_L: should last more than 3 hrs even from china
05:42 PM jthornton: it's been slowing down for some reason then speeds back up... I need to replace it
05:42 PM Tom_L: however i had an angle drill from HF that lasted half a hole
05:43 PM Tom_L: Lcvette good stuff... it won't stay that clean though
05:43 PM Lcvette: i dunno, i like to keep things clean
05:43 PM Lcvette: washdown etc
05:43 PM Tom_L: take a pic of that nice new vise too :)
05:43 PM Lcvette: that vise is garbage
05:44 PM Lcvette: I have two of them
05:44 PM Lcvette: bought them with the machine from china
05:44 PM Tom_L: what kind?
05:44 PM Tom_L: oh
05:44 PM jthornton: ^^
05:44 PM Lcvette: chinagrabage
05:44 PM jthornton: lol
05:44 PM Lcvette: lol
05:44 PM Tom_L: if you don't want to spend kurt prices, i'm pretty happy with shars
05:45 PM Lcvette: shars makes some nice high end vises in their upper tier line up
05:45 PM jthornton: there are a few vise manufactures that are close to kurt but 1/2 the price
05:45 PM Tom_L: i've got their 4" on my little mill
05:46 PM Lcvette: i think though I am going to grab a couple of the new kurt DX6 vises
05:46 PM jthornton: is that the ones that can mount on their sides?
05:47 PM Tom_L: vises are good however all the shops around here are moving to grid plates
05:47 PM Tom_L: much faster setup times
05:47 PM jthornton: what's a grid plate?
05:48 PM Tom_L: 2 offset sets of holes one set threaded for fixtures and the other drilled for pins
05:48 PM Lcvette: https://allindustrial.com/kurt-dx6-6-inch-machine-vise-9-inch-opening/?matchtype=&network=g&device=c&adposition=1o1&keyword=&campaign=1018809763&adgroup=49316157999&gclid=Cj0KCQjwlJfsBRDUARIsAIDHsWo9cli6eDCwvbg4A9UvnkUjL8nAYAI_KMw47j9Dz8GVTpvr_F62TFkaAu-aEALw_wcB
05:48 PM Lcvette: vises
05:48 PM Tom_L: ~2" apart iirc
05:48 PM Tom_L: you can get all sorts of fixturing for them
05:48 PM jthornton: wow I have 3.5GB of data to burn
05:49 PM Tom_L: https://www.ame.com/grid-plates
05:49 PM Tom_L: first example i found
05:49 PM Tom_L: some of the holes are multi purpose
05:50 PM jthornton: so I guess you build fixtures for the parts to bolt to the grid plate?
05:51 PM Tom_L: there's all sorts of clamping systems made for them
05:51 PM Tom_L: as well
05:51 PM jthornton: not good in a 1 off world like mine
05:51 PM Lcvette: can also put a plate on the boittom of the vises and mount them on the grid plate
05:51 PM Lcvette: I plan on doing vacuum fixtures
05:51 PM Tom_L: no probably not worth it for you
05:51 PM Tom_L: you can't vacuum fixture everything though
05:52 PM Tom_L: this way the programmer can tell the operator what pins to set the part up on etc
05:52 PM jthornton: https://www.glacern.com/gsv_690 I have two of them
05:53 PM Tom_L: yeah those look nice
05:53 PM jthornton: yea I like them
05:53 PM jthornton: I have one more but forget the brand, got it from MSC I think
06:12 PM Lcvette: the dx6's are super nice for the money
06:12 PM Lcvette: wish they made a dx8 though
06:12 PM Lcvette: would prefer two of those
06:14 PM Lcvette: can anyone verify if I am using the if else statement correct here?

06:15 PM Lcvette: this is supposed to keep the offset number positive but i keep getting a negative number its driving me bonkers
06:25 PM Lcvette: hazzy, how can i make a number in a probe subroutine absolute?
06:26 PM Lcvette: or turboss or jtthornton
06:26 PM Lcvette: M68 E12 Q[#<new_avg_cal_offset>]
06:26 PM Lcvette: I need #<new_avg_cal_offset> to always be sent out as a positive number
06:26 PM hazzy-m: Yes
06:27 PM Lcvette: is there an absolute syntax that can handle making it positive no matter what?
06:27 PM hazzy-m: I think it's ABS[#<my car>]
06:28 PM Lcvette: k i will try
06:28 PM hazzy-m: My var lil
06:28 PM hazzy-m: Sorry driving 😂
06:28 PM Lcvette: hands on the wheels
06:28 PM Lcvette: wheel
06:35 PM Lcvette: awesmoe that works!
06:39 PM hazzy-m: sweet!
07:03 PM Lcvette: hazzy: when you have a moment, i really need to find a way for the probing parameters set by the user in the gui to be retained, it removes the probe calibration offset and any variables for probing between restarts which can be a bit dangerous
07:14 PM Lcvette: or turboss
07:14 PM Lcvette: :D
07:24 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: yes, that is what the settings branch is for
07:24 PM hazzy-m: quite a bit of work left on that :(
07:24 PM Lcvette: i didn't know there was a settings branch
07:24 PM Lcvette: lol

07:30 PM Lcvette: disco disco good good
07:34 PM hazzy-m: haha
07:56 PM Lcvette: finding anyhting?
07:59 PM Tom_L: ok so i booted up my test pc to find the desktop stuff still open with qtpyvcp in all it's windows. problem is, it's been so long i haven't the fogiest idea what i was doing with it
07:59 PM Lcvette: lol
08:00 PM Tom_L: whatever it was i was learning i've forgotten
08:01 PM Lcvette: i forget it myself
08:01 PM Lcvette: took me an hour to reunderstand my probing routine and when i wrote them i must have been in a zone because i barely remember how they work
08:01 PM hazzy-m: Lcvette: you worte them fast too!
08:01 PM Lcvette: but it comes back with a little figuring
08:02 PM Lcvette: i was plugged in
08:02 PM Tom_L: oops doesn't come that easy for me
08:02 PM Lcvette: had some jack mazzoni playing on the youtube
08:02 PM Lcvette: hazzy: a few times
08:02 PM Lcvette: lol
08:02 PM Lcvette: i would finish then find a better way to do stuff and redo 90% of them
08:02 PM Lcvette: lol
08:03 PM Lcvette: they are working now, need to test a few more tomorrow, got stuck on the calibration issue being a negative number that was messing my routines up
08:04 PM Lcvette: but now that its fixed they are bang on
08:04 PM Lcvette: the machine repeatability is great
08:04 PM Lcvette: .00005
10:07 PM Tom_L: is the measuring equipment that accurate?
10:51 PM Lcvette: Tom_L: yes
10:52 PM * Lcvette uploaded an image: 1569095491692-1.JPEG (198KB) < https://matrix.org/_matrix/media/v1/download/matrix.org/XCwsOeHJDWkOTKQAnUaxjNdl >
10:52 PM Tom_L: that's finer than the hair on a gnat's ass
10:53 PM Lcvette: It's a certified gauge pin being measured and its repeating now between a tenth
10:54 PM Tom_L: certified in 2014
10:54 PM Tom_L: but i believe you
10:54 PM Lcvette: And it mics on my igaging mics 1.00000
10:55 PM Lcvette: It is kept in its box and only pulled out for probe calibration
10:55 PM Tom_L: stored in a 68F constant humidity room
10:56 PM Lcvette: yup
10:56 PM Lcvette: my garage
10:56 PM Lcvette: shop
10:56 PM Lcvette: conditions
10:56 PM Lcvette: conditioned
10:56 PM Lcvette: fully insulated
10:56 PM Lcvette: homie don't work in the heat
10:56 PM Lcvette: lol
10:56 PM Tom_L: heh
10:56 PM Lcvette: my garage is a bit more then a regular garage though
10:57 PM Lcvette: its 1600 squarefoot heated shop with garage doors
10:57 PM Tom_L: i've gathered that from you already
10:57 PM Lcvette: lol
10:57 PM Lcvette: but yeah the probe is very repeatable
10:57 PM Tom_L: mine's heated as well but i don't run the air in it much now
10:58 PM Lcvette: and the machine seems to be pretty damn good itself
10:58 PM Lcvette: it repeated the same on x and y 9 out of 9 times in a row
10:59 PM Tom_L: got your trucks replaced?
10:59 PM Lcvette: did that yesterday
10:59 PM Lcvette: one at a time
10:59 PM Lcvette: lol
11:00 PM Lcvette: i have a little machinist jack that works perfectly
11:01 PM Lcvette: they even ground the rail next to the mounting for the linear rail and i jack up the saddle there to match the height and can actually move the saddle with the jack, it slides like a hard way staying under the saddle
11:01 PM Lcvette: takes about 45minutes start to finish to swap both front cars
