12:46 PM aandrew: I absolutely hate the various numbing sprays you can get OTC for sore throats. I'll endure the sore throat than the taste of that topical anaesthetic. so so gross
12:46 PM aandrew: mind you it's been MANY years (like probably before 2016) since I've had a sore throat that lasts more than a few hours.
12:47 PM aandrew: my remedy to a sore throat is to gargle a shot of whiskey as far back in your throat as you can manage, for as long as you can manage. Then swallow the shot and go to bed. That takes care of it almost every time
12:47 PM aandrew: figure it's because the strong alcohol gargle kills off most of the bacteria causing the issue
