12:17 PM polprog: finished the PCB
12:40 PM rue_mohr: whats that one for?
12:41 PM rue_mohr: looks like more than a hobby project:]
02:38 PM rue_mohr: EGMK:
02:38 PM rue_mohr: I'v corrected sort of a lot of software errors and its doing great!
02:38 PM rue_mohr: Its missing at most by 16 counts (average 2) on an 2880 count encoder.
02:38 PM rue_mohr: Its single pulse control!
03:22 PM polprog: rue_mohr: its a sensor board for a student project
03:22 PM polprog: 16 gyroscopes total, to track the hand movements
03:25 PM rue_shop3: ah
03:26 PM rue_shop3: did you see the flexible mylar strip sensors on twitter?
03:27 PM polprog: no
03:27 PM polprog: im not on twitter that often
03:28 PM polprog: didnt you make some flexible capacitance based sensors before?
03:29 PM rue_shop3: not for measuring flex
07:01 PM rue_shop3: heh, the cutback for the tubes is much too agressive
07:02 PM Tom_L: the hole thing?
07:03 PM rue_shop3: oh dear
07:03 PM rue_shop3: yea
07:03 PM rue_shop3: hope I can save this
07:03 PM Tom_L: how many did you cut?
07:03 PM Tom_L: one i hope
07:25 PM rue_shop3: heh about 3 I think
07:25 PM rue_shop3: I have a photo for the difference
07:25 PM rue_shop3: I'll psot last
07:25 PM rue_shop3: later
07:25 PM rue_shop3: tired
07:25 PM Tom_L: need to move the drill away from the tube more?
07:26 PM rue_shop3: I took a picture I'll show ya when I'm back in the house and can post it
07:27 PM Tom_L: you could put a plug in front of the tube like a washer etc to back it off some
07:27 PM Tom_L: on the top half at least
07:27 PM Tom_L: you'd have to glue it in or something
07:27 PM rue_shop3: looks like a multidimensional move
07:27 PM rue_shop3: I'll post you the pic
07:27 PM Tom_L: i figured as much
07:28 PM Tom_L: back it off though and it would move in both dimensions some
07:28 PM Tom_L: it's a circle
07:28 PM rue_shop3: I have to modify the front hub too, the 1/4" slot is a bit too tight
07:30 PM rue_shop3: interseting, looks like on average the servo motor coasts back by about 10 counts
07:32 PM rue_shop3: intersting, I need a bit more data...
07:49 PM rue_mohr: http://ruemohr.org/~ircjunk/tempimage/p1300677.jpg
07:50 PM rue_mohr: that first arc in the plastic at the tip is what we want to match
