04:29 AM Tom_L: probably one. it's a large bladder that forms around the parts
09:09 AM rue_mohr: I'm ill
09:09 AM rue_mohr: dont know what I picked p
09:29 AM Tom_L: keep it
09:29 AM Tom_L: i don't want it
06:49 PM Tom_L: i fixed something that was bugging me so before you run more grab a new gcode file
06:51 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/rue/Can_Holder/Spring/Helix_spring_rue.txt
06:51 PM rue_mohr: oh drat, I forgot, I been sleeping all day anyhow
06:51 PM Tom_L: yeah you said you didn't feel well
06:52 PM rue_mohr: just burning my throat with chinken flavoured hot salt water right now
06:52 PM Tom_L: i can adjust that angle more if needed
06:52 PM rue_mohr: I have the case for my audio isoltor too
06:53 PM rue_mohr: I'll finish the soup and go do things
06:54 PM Tom_L: socat pty,link=/dev/ttySEther,raw,echo=0 tcp:192.168.9.14:44
06:54 PM Tom_L: :)
06:54 PM rue_mohr: heh, thanks
06:55 PM Tom_L: you can remember it's in the 1-1 log
06:55 PM rue_mohr: :)
06:55 PM Tom_L: and 1-2 now
06:57 PM Tom_L: the return path on that last round was an arc and that bugged me. it's a helix now
06:57 PM Tom_L: i was having trouble figuring it out for some reason. sleep helped
06:58 PM Tom_L: you'd never know it
07:28 PM rue_shop3: ok it'll take me a while to make a blank
07:30 PM rue_shop3: ok, here goes...
07:30 PM rue_shop3: (dry run looked ok)
07:31 PM rue_shop3: awesome, I think its perfect
07:35 PM Tom_L: does Z rais up out of the way now?
07:36 PM rue_shop3: yup
07:36 PM Tom_L: you had another drawing
07:36 PM rue_shop3: ?
07:37 PM Tom_L: ma wanted something maybe
07:37 PM rue_shop3: it would be cool to be able to make some kinda 2 pin generic wire former
07:37 PM rue_shop3: oh, yea the M
07:37 PM rue_shop3: I dont know if she actually wants them, shall I try to find the drawing sometime?
07:37 PM Tom_L: up to you
07:38 PM rue_shop3: she's quite transient about that stuff
07:38 PM rue_shop3: she wants it, I go to a bunch of work to do it up, and she never uses it
07:38 PM rue_shop3: I find the stuff laying around in the yard and in the garbage
07:40 PM Tom_L: so when you need springs, bend up a bunch of blanks and it should go quick
07:41 PM Tom_L: i'm sure you could increase the feed if you felt like it
07:41 PM Tom_L: if you notice, the pin doesn't rub on the wire, the spindle rotates with it
07:45 PM rue_mohr: oh I was too focused looking for collisins
07:45 PM Tom_L: heh
07:45 PM rue_mohr: finger on the feed stop :]
07:46 PM Tom_L: first time is always a butt pucker moment
07:46 PM rue_mohr: well, I did the dry runs
07:46 PM Tom_L: hope it saves time
07:47 PM rue_mohr: I'm aiming for the consistancy
07:47 PM rue_mohr: I was really surprised when I noticed that my hand done ones seemed mostly wrong
07:47 PM Tom_L: you think these are the right combination?
07:52 PM rue_mohr: the take off is right over the entry, which is what I recall asking me for
07:52 PM rue_mohr: I will not know untill I'v made a bunch of heads
07:53 PM rue_mohr: I messed up the case for my audio isolator good, I used the pcb board corners for the screw holes
07:53 PM rue_mohr: and the connector side should have been thicker
07:53 PM rue_mohr: used it anyhow
07:54 PM rue_mohr: maybe I should design some 3d printed cases with slide-in sides
08:05 PM Tom_L: you know you might be able to put the hand ones on an rerun them unless you bent them too far
08:05 PM Tom_L: it should still follow the wire
08:05 PM rue_mohr: the exit will snag
08:06 PM rue_mohr: thoght of it
08:06 PM rue_mohr: that would work if it were upside down
08:06 PM Tom_L: well that and the shank of the tool may rub on the already twisted wire
08:06 PM Tom_L: due to the groove
08:06 PM rue_mohr: If I want I should be able to put them in the lathe and give them a tug
08:06 PM Tom_L: you could try one
08:07 PM rue_mohr: trying to think of what I least dont-want for supper
08:58 PM Tom_L: we need more collaboration projects
09:28 PM rue_mohr: :)
