09:02 PM rue_mohr: I HAVE DONE IT!
09:03 PM rue_mohr: I HAVE DONE THE THING EVERYONE KNEW I COULD DO!
09:03 PM Tom_L: ok
09:04 PM Tom_L: burn supper?
09:04 PM rue_mohr: http://ruemohr.org/~ircjunk/programming/74xx138-IA.svg
09:04 PM rue_mohr: its an operational interactive 74ls138 svg
09:04 PM rue_mohr: hint, click the input pins to change state
09:05 PM rue_mohr: G2* should be low(green) and ABC will select the output pin to change state
09:06 PM rue_mohr: cute?
09:09 PM Tom_L: it worked once
09:09 PM rue_mohr: once?
09:09 PM Tom_L: to toggle an output
09:09 PM rue_mohr: it doesn't respond if you click the lettering ON the pins
09:09 PM rue_mohr: you need to click around it :/
09:10 PM rue_mohr: I should have made a transparent floating square over it
09:10 PM rue_mohr: you can ctrl+ to zoom in
09:10 PM rue_mohr: (svg)
09:10 PM Tom_L: i get no output triggers now
09:10 PM Tom_L: which ones should trigger them?
09:10 PM rue_mohr: are G2a and g2b low?
09:10 PM Tom_L: both need to be?
09:10 PM rue_mohr: g1 should be high
09:10 PM rue_mohr: yes
09:11 PM rue_mohr: its an AND gate with two inverted inputs
09:11 PM rue_mohr: see the little AND?
09:11 PM Tom_L: why does Y7 trip all the time?
09:11 PM rue_mohr: A,B,C are high, aka 7
09:12 PM Tom_L: ok
09:43 PM rue_mohr: well, it was a fun distraction anyhow
09:44 PM rue_mohr: uses a lookup table for what pins to put high and low
09:50 PM Tom_L: nice
10:01 PM rue_mohr: In the real world, I need another propane tank
10:01 PM rue_mohr: and I need it full
10:01 PM Tom_L: i got 2 i ain't usin
10:01 PM Tom_L: one is full
10:02 PM rue_mohr: I was supposed to mark how many castings I got to a tank, and I forgot and the marks issapeared
10:03 PM rue_mohr: I'm worried about what it'll cost now
10:03 PM rue_mohr: both my tanks are expired and its summer
10:03 PM rue_mohr: is it fall yet?
10:07 PM Tom_L: 104F isn't fall
10:10 PM rue_mohr: hmmm
10:10 PM rue_mohr: maybe the wildfire count is a sign
10:12 PM rue_mohr: I have that 3rd casting I can mill too
10:12 PM rue_mohr: I have to adjust the top cnc jobs to include a gap between the two halves
10:13 PM rue_mohr: I forgot and its 0
10:58 PM rue_mohr: so
10:58 PM rue_mohr: lost foam casting
10:59 PM rue_mohr: the videos you showed me, they coated the foam in plaster, then covered them in sand
10:59 PM rue_mohr: iirc the plaster was pretty thin
10:59 PM rue_mohr: the foam needs a lot of room to vent as it burns out
11:00 PM rue_mohr: I think in what you showed me, they burn it out before pouring in the metal
11:00 PM rue_mohr: but, the foam I usually get expands a bit when its heated
11:01 PM rue_mohr: I dont know if I can make a + of that engine pan in foam
11:01 PM rue_mohr: the foam melts out with acetone
11:36 PM VanUnamed: great
11:37 PM rue_mohr: :)
