08:39 AM aandrew: brought a desk, couch, two bookshelves up from the basement to throw away, noticed stuff was disappearing from the curb, saw on cameras it was just some dude so I made a sign sayiing I'll have more and to call or knock
08:40 AM aandrew: as I was bringing it out he came back, he's some guy from Ukraine and his teenage son. He spoke no english but I told the son I'll have larger shop tools, filing cabiinets, etc and he's MORE than welcome to any of it
08:41 AM aandrew: I'd rather have it given to someone who'll use it or fix it up/sell it than just pitch it
08:41 AM aandrew: they took my old Hobart stick welder too, hoping they will want the drill press and old compressor as well

08:42 AM aandrew: very, very, very happy someone's taking this stuff rather than garbage, I *hate* throwing stuff like that away

06:51 PM aandrew: no, I have kids, I won't ever do that because I don't ever want them to think that's an option, but I'd be lying if I said that it hasn't been on my mind an awful lot lately
