12:18 AM WormFood: Yeah. Ubuntu lost their place a while back.
12:18 AM WormFood: It's not the default recommended distro anymore
12:18 AM WormFood: at least, not by most people.
12:19 AM WormFood: Mint has taken away a lot of Ubuntu's market share.
12:14 AM aandrew: y'all need to find tacky flux
12:25 AM aandrew: there is nothing better
12:25 AM aandrew: it changed my world, and it will change yours
12:25 AM aandrew: forget rosin core, forget liquid flux, forget oldschool organic flux which I LOVE the smell of
12:25 AM aandrew: tacky flux is the motherufucking win
12:25 AM aandrew: I even put it on toast sometimes
12:25 AM WormFood: What the flux is that?
12:25 AM WormFood: Will I needed a special type of capacitor to make the flux?
12:25 AM aandrew: wtf is with all this cloud shit in ubuntu now
12:25 AM WormFood: Ubuntu is not the go-to distro anymore
12:26 AM aandrew: the last thing I want is to learn another packaging system
12:27 AM aandrew: at least I figured out the perfect machine name for my VM running vivado
12:27 AM aandrew: virvado :-)
01:59 AM rue_mohr: well debian isn't the go to either
01:59 AM rue_mohr: what did they cloud? dont they know cloud is out of style now?
01:59 AM rue_mohr: I still use debian, but I just force it to (mostly) do what I want
02:39 AM WormFood: Debian is mostly predictable. They're not trying to impress anyone.
08:16 AM rue_mohr: The number of CPUs on tinytapeout is kinda cool!
09:34 AM aandrew: yeah I used to just do debian because it avoided a lot of the ubuntu bullshit but when I have to use GUI stuff I usually install ubuntu just to avoid a lot of hassle
09:34 AM aandrew: their new installer is not awesome, and all this could shit just upsets me
09:35 AM aandrew: it can be turned off but that's not the point, it shouldn't be on by default
