04:53 AM polprog_: turns out that antminer board has more GPIOs available than the EBAZ4205 which seems to be reused for projects
05:04 AM polprog_: I should get it running under my linux
05:04 AM polprog_: Henning Paul noticed that gpio count
05:04 AM polprog_: He uses the ebaz for his SDR project
07:29 AM aandrew: isn't antiner just an ASIC?
08:08 AM rue_mohr: polprog_, I'm listening along
08:22 AM polprog_: aandrew: the ASICs are used to do the cracking but thy dont run the actual linux that talks to the internet
08:22 AM polprog_: so you have the hashing boards
08:23 AM polprog_: up to 8 oer controller
08:23 AM polprog_: per*
08:23 AM polprog_: these have about 50 asics each
08:23 AM polprog_: and then you have the controller which is a Zynq7010 board with fast ethernet and 8 serial ports in the FPGA fabric
08:23 AM polprog_: and it uses these serial ports to talk to the hashing boards
08:24 AM aandrew: polprog_: oh missed the linux part
08:24 AM aandrew: zynq is a decent platform for sure
08:24 AM polprog_: I want to reverse engineer the controller and build my own linux for it
08:24 AM polprog_: since i know the building linux for zynq part
08:34 AM aandrew: I always struggled with petalinux
08:36 AM polprog_: it sucks
08:36 AM polprog_: the build system is straight up stupid
01:59 PM polprog_ is now known as polprog
11:59 PM rue_mohr: hmm
