04:13 AM rue_shop3: polprog, !!!
04:24 AM rue_shop3: I could use the parametized database for schematics too!
04:24 AM rue_shop3: oscillators, square wave output, runs on less than 12V
04:24 AM polprog: yes!
04:24 AM rue_shop3: sort by current draw
04:24 AM rue_shop3: :]
04:24 AM polprog: its like pdfsearch but has extra parameters
04:24 AM rue_shop3: and links to circuit images? hmmmm
04:24 AM polprog: I think the parameters need to be a dictionary not a table database
04:24 AM polprog: yeah
04:24 AM rue_shop3: I'd liek a table so I can say less than or greater than
04:24 AM rue_shop3: I realized why dk has the sectoins
04:24 AM rue_shop3: each table has differnt columns
04:24 AM polprog: so like you have an entry {"file":"2n2222.pdf", "Vgsth":"1234", "Id":1111 ...}
04:24 AM polprog: and so on
04:24 AM polprog: yeah the display can be table but an oscillator will have different parameters than a transistor or diode
04:24 AM polprog: so you cant have a database table which will hold the parameters for oscillators, diodes, transistors and whatever else cause that would be too much tables
04:24 AM polprog: it would be sparse
04:24 AM polprog: you need to attach a set of properties to each file
04:26 AM rue_shop3: transistors with gains of less than 100 and VCE of more than 150V
04:26 AM rue_shop3: NPN
04:26 AM rue_shop3: just pdfsearch speeds me up massivly
05:14 AM Tom_L: morning
05:17 AM polprog: hi tom
05:17 AM polprog: idk how cpu heavy it would be but i imagine a system which has a bunch of properties defined
05:18 AM polprog: and when you add a new part you preselect it's type ("diode", "transistor", "circuit") and it automatically gives you a few fields to enter it's properties like electrical parameters
05:18 AM polprog: and you can add more parameters
05:19 AM polprog: and then when you search you have a dropdown
05:20 AM polprog: that lets you select the range of values of these properties
06:21 AM polprog: but hopefully faster
07:01 AM rue_mohr: oh, the L6384 has a schmitt on the input, I can use a sloppy oscillator
07:02 AM rue_mohr: oh, technically, I dont need a regulation zener, its got one in there
07:04 AM rue_mohr: the input can be to vcc, which is 15V, so ok
07:04 AM rue_mohr: gee this got a lot easier
01:15 PM rue_mohr: 3225
01:15 PM rue_mohr: moderate leap
01:16 PM rue_mohr: I guess its not going to go down
01:16 PM rue_mohr: I dont get why most of the people are following me
01:16 PM rue_mohr: like, bots aside
01:17 PM rue_mohr: there are definite real people following who obviously have no clue
01:17 PM rue_mohr: it looks like some people just think its all cool
06:11 PM Tom_L: rue_mohr,
06:24 PM Tom_L: you asked...
06:24 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/rue/electronics/
07:00 PM rue_shop3: ?...
07:00 PM rue_shop3: woof
07:00 PM rue_shop3: is that all components?
07:01 PM rue_shop3: I'm building an awening for the cats
07:01 PM rue_shop3: over the shelf out the bedroom window
07:30 PM Tom_L: yes
07:55 PM rue_mohr: what kinda stuff is in there?
07:56 PM rue_mohr: I imagine its not all carbon resistors...
07:56 PM rue_mohr: well, I got some potatoes cookin
07:56 PM rue_mohr: and I want to build up some other oscillators
07:57 PM rue_mohr: I built a power supply for the driveway lights, it needs a case and installation
07:57 PM rue_mohr: see if I can fold up a box for it maybe
07:57 PM rue_mohr: needs a bit of heatsinking
07:57 PM rue_mohr: a bunch of emi shielding
07:59 PM Tom_L: lots of chips & transistors
07:59 PM rue_mohr: ooo
07:59 PM Tom_L: likely specific to a brand
08:00 PM Tom_L: all mfg numbers... very little generic
08:00 PM rue_mohr: you want to send it away?
08:00 PM rue_mohr: I wonder how much shipping would be
08:00 PM Tom_L: 2x what it used to be
08:00 PM rue_mohr: I'd come down with my truck, but I know that would be more than shipping
08:01 PM Tom_L: just like the fr4.. ppl want me to ship it but...
08:01 PM Tom_L: shipping and i really don't care to fiddle with it
08:03 PM rue_mohr: well, would you be into picking over it and send me some bits?
08:03 PM rue_mohr: I'll pay shipping... I cant help on your end tho :/
08:20 PM Tom_L: i don't have a clue what any of it is anymore and don't have the manuals for the devices they are for
08:21 PM Tom_L: i had hundreds of those i got rid of years ago
08:21 PM Tom_L: they've been out there so long some of the belts have turned to powder
08:44 PM rue_shop3: I'm interested in whats there
08:48 PM Tom_L: i had tubes but i'm pretty sure i got rid of all them
09:07 PM rue_shop3: :/
09:07 PM rue_shop3: actaully one of things I need a lot is 0.3" chip tubes
09:08 PM Tom_L: print
09:10 PM rue_shop3: longer than I can print
09:10 PM rue_shop3: and I'd never get them to slide over the ribbles
09:25 PM rue_mohr: LM358 osc, relaxation with base adjust, lm393 w assist.
09:58 PM rue_shop3: 393
11:12 PM rue_shop3: ok and last the lm358
11:12 PM rue_shop3: which I think is the same pinout
11:25 PM aandrew: what would the SMT equivalent of a 2U6L or 42IF123 transformer be? like this: http://www.kitsandparts.com/42IF123.htm
11:26 PM rue_mohr: :S
11:26 PM aandrew: I can't seem to find 10.7MHz IF transformers on digikey/mouser
11:28 PM aandrew: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004483837060.html looks like another but not SMT
11:30 PM rue_mohr: I'v never bought anything more complex than a axial inductor as far as magnetics go
