03:46 AM Tom_L: i bet that would be brutal
03:56 AM Tom_L: i bet everything would freeze up right away
07:02 AM aandrew: rue_mohr: no, not trailer park boys, I mean actually living in an rv in the winter
07:03 AM aandrew: Tom_L: well the tips are all common sense and most are things I'd have thought of already: skirt the trailer, heated/insulated fresh/wastewater pipes etc
07:04 AM aandrew: what was not obvious (at least to me) was that "four season" trailers achieve that partly by the ducting of hte propane heat, so if you're on electric hookup you might not be heating the interior lines the way you would be if heating with propane
07:04 AM aandrew: and the moisture as well was not exactly a surprise, but interesting in WHERE it tends to show up because they skimp on insulation in places like under the bed and behind the appliances
07:05 AM aandrew: so humidty control is actually a BIG part of wintering in an RV
07:06 AM aandrew: four season RVs also offer dual pane windows which isn't common and that's a huge heat loss of course
10:10 AM rue_mohr: hopefully they mentioned vermen
10:10 AM rue_mohr: love the warm
10:10 AM rue_mohr: will chew thru anything to get it
12:59 PM polprog: Tom_L: yeah, i even found a valid licence
01:00 PM polprog: but sadly it needs an EDIF file, i dont know whats that
01:00 PM polprog: i cant just write HDL in ISE
01:03 PM Tom_L: EDIF (Electronic Design Interchange Format) is a vendor-neutral format based on S-Expressions in which to store Electronic netlists and schematics. It was one of the first attempts to establish a neutral data exchange format for the electronic design automation (EDA) industry.
01:04 PM polprog: Hm, do you know any software that can compile HDL down to EDIF?
03:04 PM Tom_L: nope
03:59 PM rue_mohr: polprog, it cant like take verilog or soemthing?
04:00 PM polprog: no, thats the deal
04:00 PM polprog: you need some other tool apparently
04:01 PM rue_mohr: this is codewarrior?
04:02 PM polprog: no, thats ISE 4.2
04:02 PM Tom_L: https://www.aldec.com/en/support/resources/documentation/articles/1054
04:02 PM polprog: Codewarrior is.. the "for 68k embedded systems" does not list that 68k on the board
04:02 PM rue_mohr: yea
04:03 PM Tom_L: yeah codewarrior is 68k specific
04:03 PM rue_mohr: somehow I thought you were doing both or soething
04:03 PM rue_mohr: hah
04:03 PM Tom_L: there is gnuc for 68k
04:03 PM polprog: not really, it appears that metrowerks did a shitton of releases
04:03 PM polprog: i found CW for windows CE x86, CW for GameCube, CW as PlayStation 2 dev tool
04:04 PM polprog: i did learn how to cracl FlexLM programs tho
04:04 PM polprog: i mean, found the cracked dll and it worked
04:04 PM polprog: the only difference is 2 bytes, i wanna disassemble it to see what was changed
04:04 PM polprog: mostly to understand it but also to know what do do if i find a slightly different version of Flexi
04:05 PM Tom_L: uh huh
04:05 PM rue_mohr: conditional jump to just a jump
04:06 PM polprog: i dont remember now
04:09 PM polprog: but not quite, my money is on changing a mov value
04:09 PM polprog: bth bytes changed
04:09 PM polprog: both*
07:39 PM Tom_L: is the rv a plan for temporary housing while you build?
09:03 PM rue_mohr: me? no
09:10 PM Tom_L: i haven't had a good project in a while...
09:14 PM rue_mohr: I would love to finish something
09:14 PM Tom_L: i can say i finished the mill mostly
09:14 PM rue_mohr: twitter is strange, I posted a circuit with an inductor that killed a bunch of ring, and like 5 more people have followed me and it has a bunch of likes
09:14 PM Tom_L: there are always little tweaks to add..
09:14 PM rue_mohr: Tom_L, whats on the tweak list?
09:15 PM Tom_L: no idea
09:15 PM rue_mohr: did I show you I moved the gantry back on my small one?
09:15 PM rue_mohr: I'd guessed wrong when I made it
09:15 PM Tom_L: if you did i don't remember
09:15 PM Tom_L: who was that nick that showed up the other day and never said anything?
09:16 PM Tom_L: tops
09:16 PM rue_mohr: oh not sure, I wonder if it was jeff
09:16 PM rue_mohr: should have been "gigglyflix" then tho
09:17 PM rue_mohr: HOW DOES THAT STUPID POST HAVE 72 LIKES!!!!!
09:17 PM rue_mohr: polprog, wtf wrong with this world!?
09:18 PM Tom_L: 80% are followers
09:18 PM Tom_L: maybe more than that
09:18 PM Tom_L: few are doers

09:28 PM rue_mohr: wtf?
09:37 PM Tom_L: was quite an improvement
09:38 PM rue_mohr: yea!

11:36 PM rue_mohr: twitter tries to validate text entered thru one of their servers realtime
11:36 PM rue_mohr: and if its not responding, the whole page kinda locks up
