07:54 PM Tom_L: Prepare Sodium Silicate
07:54 PM Tom_L: Wear proper safety gear, which includes gloves.
07:54 PM Tom_L: Heat 4 to 8 grams of sodium hydroxide in 10 milliliters of water.
07:54 PM Tom_L: Once the sodium hydroxide is dissolved, slowly add 6 grams of crushed silica gel beads. Heat the solution between additions. You now have sodium silicate or water glass.
07:54 PM Tom_L: start collecting silica bags
07:55 PM Tom_L: you made a trip down there you might go broke :)
07:55 PM Tom_L: and you'd need a tractor trailer to haul it all back
