04:50 AM Tom_L: morning
05:03 AM rue_bed2: m?
07:18 AM rue_mohr: mmmorning
07:18 AM rue_mohr: not sure if we need more yet, but I'm amused at how fast orders are suddenly comming in
08:51 AM rue_mohr: ok, got a fet royer working!
09:21 AM rue_mohr: 2334
09:22 AM rue_mohr: thats up a bit
05:40 PM Tom_L: yeah, i was just getting refamiliar with things
05:48 PM Tom_L: another good reason to video each setup... cause i forget :)
06:46 PM Tom_L: ok now i remember how i held it. i used tabs
07:26 PM rue_shop3: looks like he didn't use any of your heads yet, I just did a sprayer up with one, and the onyl oops I see is that the hole for the latch is too big somehow
07:26 PM rue_shop3: BUT
07:26 PM rue_shop3: turns out we need to do a design change
07:26 PM Tom_L: you should try one to see
07:26 PM Tom_L: on what?
07:27 PM rue_shop3: somehow it never came up till recently, but A9 needs to be "stretched"
07:27 PM rue_shop3: I'm also going to change out handle design a bit
07:27 PM rue_shop3: we have a hole where a retainer screw goes in, and the plastic keeps splitting
07:31 PM Tom_L: stretched how?
07:43 PM Tom_L: #22, 1/8, 1/16" drills is what i have shown
07:45 PM Tom_L: that hole being 1/8" i think
07:48 PM Tom_L: the model shows A12 having a #43 drill there
07:49 PM Tom_L: which is .089" not .125
07:51 PM Tom_L: i can change the hole easy enough, just need to know what size
07:51 PM Tom_L: i did finally get my stub length drill set :)
08:48 PM rue_mohr: ok he's good with the repair, thats cool
08:48 PM rue_mohr: would still like 2 more
08:48 PM rue_mohr: looks like our contact has been tacking on $20 ...
08:49 PM rue_mohr: I'll do an inventory of what we have
08:49 PM rue_mohr: I need to work out that design change too
08:49 PM rue_mohr: the clamp is a bit short for the current cans their usign
08:52 PM Tom_L: move the link holes out a bit?
08:53 PM rue_mohr: no, I'll modify up the design using an old sprayer head I have as a template
08:53 PM rue_mohr: I want to eat and sleep :)
08:53 PM Tom_L: whole new program
08:53 PM Tom_L: the circle around the can needs to be bigger/
08:53 PM Tom_L: ?
08:54 PM rue_mohr: no
08:54 PM rue_mohr: you know that shoulder?
08:54 PM rue_mohr: well the distance from the can ring to the shoulder needs to be increased
08:54 PM rue_mohr: I think by about 3mm
08:55 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/rue/Can_Holder/A9_New/A9-A10-new.jpg
08:55 PM Tom_L: where the slot is toward the ring?
08:58 PM Tom_L: should i make that hole for the latch a #43?
08:58 PM Tom_L: that's what the latch has
08:59 PM Tom_L: dunno how that ended up that way
09:00 PM Tom_L: you swedge a pin on the latch to hold it in so maybe the A9 hole needs to be 1 size larger instead of .125
09:04 PM Tom_L: so just make the shoulder 3mm longer and leave the ring profile as it is?
09:04 PM Tom_L: and the thin part where the slot is, is ok?
09:05 PM rue_mohr: phonecall, supper is burning, cat is meowing
09:06 PM Tom_L: :/
09:14 PM rue_shop3: and I'm trying to sleep
09:14 PM rue_shop3: believe it or not
09:14 PM rue_shop3: burned my toung on supper areadu
09:15 PM rue_shop3: now I gotta let it cool
09:18 PM Tom_L: if all you change is that shoulder length i think i can stretch the curren model without too much difficulty
09:26 PM rue_mohr: I'll make adjustments, the other guy working with my (sean) is excited you can help mill heads
09:26 PM Tom_L: pic to come...
09:29 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/rue/Can_Holder/A9_New/MODS/Mods1.jpg
09:29 PM Tom_L: is that what you meant?
09:30 PM rue_mohr: that looks right, I'v not tried it
09:30 PM Tom_L: ok that's 3mm
09:30 PM Tom_L: that's an easy edit if that's all you need
09:30 PM Tom_L: that and get the hole size for me for that latch on A9
09:30 PM rue_mohr: I shoudl test it here
09:31 PM Tom_L: i know
09:31 PM Tom_L: i just wanted to understand the edit
09:31 PM Tom_L: i'm not saving that yet
09:31 PM rue_mohr: it should be 1/8" come to think of it
09:31 PM Tom_L: the hole?
09:31 PM rue_mohr: cause were using 1/8" brass rod as rivents
09:31 PM Tom_L: you said it was too big
09:31 PM rue_mohr: rivits
09:31 PM rue_mohr: ugh
09:31 PM Tom_L: the latch hole is #43
09:31 PM rue_mohr: is that a hair larger than 1/8"
09:32 PM Tom_L: no
09:32 PM Tom_L: #43 is .089
09:33 PM rue_mohr: yea I'm confued
09:33 PM rue_mohr: maybe the rod were using isn't 1/8"
09:34 PM Tom_L: well i got the hole sizes from the chart i made when we were talking about all the parts
09:34 PM rue_mohr: yup
09:34 PM rue_mohr: I need to check, tommorow
09:34 PM rue_mohr: and modify the handle design
09:35 PM Tom_L: http://tom-itx.no-ip.biz:81/~webpage/rue/Can_Holder/A9_New/MODS/holes.jpg
09:35 PM Tom_L: if that's not right i can edit it
09:35 PM rue_mohr: yup, I'll find out what went wrong
09:35 PM Tom_L: k
09:36 PM Tom_L: which one is the latch? A12?
09:36 PM Tom_L: yeah...
09:36 PM rue_mohr: Ihttp://www.ruemohr.org/exploded.jpg
09:36 PM rue_mohr: yup
09:37 PM rue_mohr: :) you gravitate to the part numbers
09:37 PM Tom_L: yeah i have that saved too
09:37 PM Tom_L: they are exact
09:37 PM Tom_L: the rest is just fuzzy
09:37 PM rue_mohr: we mostly just use loose names, go to the numbers when we cat get it right
09:37 PM rue_mohr: yup
09:37 PM rue_mohr: A is rev1
09:37 PM Tom_L: cncs are very exacting
09:38 PM rue_mohr: some parts are on C now
09:38 PM rue_mohr: http://www.ruemohr.org/p1190526.jpg
09:38 PM rue_mohr: design 2 of the handle
09:38 PM rue_mohr: so B2
09:38 PM Tom_L: confusing since the rest is all A
09:38 PM Tom_L: well D3
09:38 PM rue_mohr: there is an A C and D of the trigger
09:39 PM Tom_L: composite handle
09:39 PM Tom_L: :)
09:39 PM rue_mohr: for A11
09:40 PM rue_mohr: we got some narrow bike chain this time, and it fits the head material much better
09:41 PM rue_mohr: I only drew those to get an idea of what I wanted for a diagram
09:41 PM rue_mohr: I wasn't supposed to acutally use them
09:43 PM rue_mohr: a fellow asked me to make an offset dowel for him
09:43 PM rue_mohr: for aligning a clutch
09:54 PM Tom_L: you don't use master links on the chain do you?
09:54 PM Tom_L: just the chain itself
09:55 PM Tom_L: and smash it back together?
10:01 PM rue_mohr: yea, we have a breaker
10:01 PM rue_mohr: and use the arbour press to reset it
10:02 PM Tom_L: you have a spot welder too :)
