05:36 PM Tom_L: rue_bed seems to be having issues
07:20 PM Tom_L: http://catiadoc.free.fr/online/cfyug_C2/cfyugunfold.htm
07:21 PM Tom_L: might try that for the rotary
08:19 PM rue_shop3: I had all sorts of ideas and I dont know what theyw ere now
08:38 PM Tom_L: for?
09:26 PM rue_shop3: the rotary axis
09:29 PM Tom_L: i think wrapping the geometry is a common way to do it
09:29 PM Tom_L: but there must be an easier way to calculate the unrolled angles etc
09:30 PM Tom_L: i don't have any critical plans for it anyway
09:50 PM rue_shop3: too bad you dont have a gear tooth cutter
09:50 PM Tom_L: i looked at those but they're kindof expensive and come in sets
09:51 PM Tom_L: and i wouldn't know what pitch to go with
09:53 PM Tom_L: https://www.amazon.com/EVNSIX-Involute-Cutters-Milling-Machine/dp/B07P9QLJG9/ref=sr_1_3
09:53 PM Tom_L: they come in sets like that
09:55 PM Tom_L: and 14.5 or 20 deg pressure angle
10:32 PM Tom_L: so i went out to the garage after work to take her car in to see if they could glue a 1" crack she got in the windshield
10:33 PM Tom_L: after opening the garage, i noticed the crack had grown to ~2' so i sadly decided no ammount of glue would fill that
10:33 PM Tom_L: just sitting in the garage..
10:34 PM Tom_L: this will be #2 within 5-6 months
10:43 PM rue_shop3: ouch
10:44 PM rue_shop3: yea, the glass shop said 3 days to get a chip filled, by that afternoon it'd run 5"
