08:39 PM rue_mohr: no I mean I'd assembled your sentence
08:39 PM rue_mohr: :)
08:39 PM Tom_L: oh
08:46 PM rue_mohr: whoa nodded off
08:46 PM rue_mohr: just about did a header into the desk
08:59 PM aandrew: rue_mohr: isn't a half a turn just where you exit the ferrite/bobbin/whatever on the opposite side of where you entered?
09:01 PM rue_mohr: that would be a turn around the bottom leg tho
09:07 PM aandrew: hm?
09:07 PM aandrew: take a torroid, take a wire and pass it through the middle. that's a half turn. curl the wire back around so the two ends of the wire are on the same side, that's a whole turn
09:08 PM aandrew: I'm not sure that's true though --- CTs are often 50:1 or whatever and that ':1' is just a wire passing through
09:09 PM rue_mohr: no
09:10 PM rue_mohr: it only works on cores that are split, like IE or EE
