12:57 AM rue_mohr: aandrew, I have a tincantools flyswatter jtag board
01:05 AM rue_mohr: heh and a hammer
01:05 AM rue_mohr: Tom_L, ring some bells?
01:07 AM aandrew: rue_mohr: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10_15_7) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/90.0.4430.93 Safari/537.36
01:09 AM aandrew: haven't heard of that jtag board before
01:12 AM rue_mohr: its got a config under openocd
01:42 AM rue_mohr: https://create.arduino.cc/projecthub/arduinokiln/electric-kiln-controller-f5c633?ref=search&ref_id=kiln&offset=0
01:42 AM rue_mohr: not bad, I think its a copy of the silent knight controller
04:18 AM Tom_L: yeah i remember it
04:20 PM Tom_L: so i must have used those A3 softjaws for another project because they're not out there now
04:25 PM Tom_L: they would need some serious rework to use for my new idea anyway
06:25 PM rue_mohr: no worries, were ok
07:28 PM rue_mohr: so the 100 microswitches arrived
07:28 PM rue_mohr: I think I have enough for a keybaord now
07:30 PM Tom_L: ok i fiddled with the vfd a tiny bit
07:31 PM Tom_L: bumped the accel # up from 6000 to 20000 and it respnds a bit better
07:31 PM Tom_L: range is 0-60000
07:31 PM rue_mohr: can you get a chart of the speed?
07:31 PM Tom_L: eventually i will
07:32 PM Tom_L: i'm kinda worn out but had to do _something_
07:32 PM Tom_L: you mean with the analog from lcnc with no pid on it
07:33 PM Tom_L: iirc when i first started using this setup, without the pid i was getting no low end rpm
07:34 PM rue_mohr: hmm
07:34 PM Tom_L: so it's not a linear scale
07:34 PM rue_mohr: its own controller might only go down so far
07:34 PM Tom_L: i can get 100 rpm reliablly with how it is set now
07:34 PM Tom_L: and 5000 on the top end
07:35 PM Tom_L: it does overshoot a bit but does settle in and hold it
07:35 PM rue_mohr: hmm threading...
07:35 PM rue_mohr: wow I'm falling asleep
07:36 PM rue_mohr: I had one really easy job in the list today that just would NOT go, cursed building
07:36 PM rue_mohr: I'll win, but it took a lot out of me
07:36 PM Tom_L: i also thought about your part setup a bit
07:37 PM rue_mohr: hah
07:37 PM rue_mohr: oh dear, what would I be doing if I were awake
07:37 PM Tom_L: just depend if 1/16" thickness is enough to hold it for P2
07:38 PM rue_mohr: I use ~1mm hold-ties on the 1/4" parts
07:38 PM rue_mohr: 1x1
07:38 PM Tom_L: 1/16" side clamping force
07:39 PM rue_mohr: shamfer first?
07:39 PM Tom_L: well, radius but yes
07:39 PM Tom_L: i'm gonna try the radius tool this time if i do some
07:40 PM rue_mohr: ah rain
07:40 PM rue_mohr: brb
07:40 PM Tom_L: got enough break to mow this pm
07:58 PM rue_mohr: not a heavy rain
07:58 PM rue_mohr: but all the gutters are full
07:58 PM rue_mohr: leaves
08:19 PM rue_mohr: canada cencus sent me ANOTHER (4 now?) survey ticket, but its not a repeat this time
08:19 PM rue_mohr: I was tempted to put C as a second language
08:20 PM rue_mohr: I guess I ought not do that
08:20 PM rue_mohr: I'm just no fun
08:32 PM aandrew: haha
10:05 PM Tom_L: they might start sending surveys in C if you do
10:05 PM Tom_L: doubt they'd compile though
11:56 PM rue_mohr: :)
11:56 PM rue_mohr: so buddy was by making more sprayers,
11:56 PM rue_mohr: I was making a few parts on the lathe and came way too close to losing a hand
